No really, if you meet any men named Remi wearing trench-coats who invite you down an alley in Canada - RUN AWAY!!!
-
I am one of us. I am still a South African citizen and will be voting later this year. My post wasn't intended for you to do anything, it was intended to raise some awareness in the rest of the world.
-
Nice hijack guys. Over 600 South Africans dying every day from Aids related illness, but I'm glad you people can focus on what is really important - Reagan's reaction in the 80's.

Most people would probably answer 'yes', this is how South Africa's Minister of Health answered the question : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/924889.stm Incredible, but then again this is the same Health minister who said that antiretrovirals were poison, but that garlic and African sweet potato were a better option. (no surprize when she got proven wrong of course...) And if you think that is incredible, the president of South Africa claims not to know anyone who has died of AIDS : http://www.sundayherald.com/36998 Now compare his attitude to that of Mandela's : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/2215747.stm Thanks to anyone who has taken the time to read those articles, I hope it gives some insight into South Africa and its biggest challenge. You may now return to your usual programme of Bush/Kerry bashing. Thank you.

You are right, Iraq was invaded based of false claims of WMD - nothing to do with Al Qaeda. My bad.
-
Nah, I reckon both sides are guilty of making false claims about WMD.

Is it only me who finds this hilarious? (BJ Worth is the guy who did the BASE jump in the Bond movie 'View to a kill'.)

This post and riggerrob's post further down are both sheer quality. Pity all the decent posts like these can't all be collated into one article or something. Will
-
Well he does post like a know it all Grandpa.
-
Because he wasn't invited on the load?
-
Edited to post following M-Net article : I wonder if he will be making another visit to Cape Town. Will

I voted "Other". I can't remember the title, but the hero was this guy who did HALO jumps from a space shuttle.
-
You would really do that Betsy, I'm shocked and disappointed in you.

CCNA was far harder than any Microsoft exam I ever took (I only passed on third attempt). Getting MCSE (NT4) was too easy, I took the W2K Pro exam and was surprized how easy that was. Definitely have respect for the Cisco qualifications, never heard of a paper CCNP or CCIE. But what do I care, I'm getting off the hamster wheel that is Microsoft certs and getting out of IT - no more support work for me. Will

I bought from these guys. However (as always) is much cheaper in states.

That is freakin' amazing, especially given the weather holds and plane problems they had. Congrats to all those who made this happen (both on the ground and in the air). 357 people in one formation - that is incredible!!! Will

I do not even want to KNOW what he did 'one time at band camp'.. Thanks for all the feedback people, will pass it along.

I bought a rig from Roy in 2001 - the service and price was good.
-
No dude, that is my mom.
-
Nice, was she maintaining her gear correctly? Arlo : thanks, I will ask if her zimmerframe is equipped with any kind of AAD (Aged Assistance Device).
-
Hey Sunshine, sorry to disappoint you but me saying 'Fuck off!' doesn't count as oral sex.
-
Nah, I think sunshine got confused when I told her to 'kiss my ass'.

Hi people I need some help writing up an incident report. I'd like this person to stay in the sport but feel that maybe if I wrote up a decent incident report for them they might be more careful in future. Here is what happened : This past Tuesday (5 February 2004) my 63 year old mother slipped while playing tennis in the evening and broke her wrist. This required some surgery (pins) and a cast. From subsequent phone calls I understand the following : > It had been raining previously and there were puddles - should she have been playing tennis in those conditions? > Tennis is a contact sport, occasionally people fall over - why did she not PLF correctly? > When she realized she was going to fall over, did she not have any outs planned? > What shoes was she wearing? Were they too advanced for her? What is she loading her shoes at? (God, I'm going to catch it for that one! ) > Was the time of day a factor? > Would coaching have helped prevent this situation? > I understand that occasionally after a game she and her playing (ahem drinking) partners have been known to have a drink or two. Was a blood sample taken to ensure she was not under the influence during the game? btw is Horlicks a banned substance? (we all know it happens in tennis, unfortunately some turn a blind eye to it). I'm expecting comprehensive truthful answers to all these questions. My thanks to Phreezone for helping me with the list so far. Once it is complete I will be emailing it to my mother. She is 63 years old, I think it is time she stopped playing tennis and hiking in the mountains all week and settle down and knit jerseys like all the other old ladies. (LOL, I'm going to be disinherited for that one!). So, anyway, any further suggestions about how she could've avoided her injury (obviously staying off the courts would be one - it is better to be on the sides wishing you were out there than....) will be most welcome. Once I have a comprehensive list I'll email it to her (apart from the disinheriting thing I'm safe, she's in SA, I'm in UK). Will PS she says she can still go hiking, can still drink, will now serve underhand while she has cast but is really pissed off she is not allowed to drive.
