  1. Have you tried... http://www.nonstick.com/sounds/Bugs_Bunny/ltbb_114.wav "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  2. I wouldn't go to someone with only one year experience if I were to want to know about building rockets. I would go to a professor who has the years of knowledge behind him or her. Building rockets is serious business. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

  4. I have no idea about Canada, Richard. I do know that in Missouri, I have rights regarding my privacy whether in the work place (where it was leaked out), outside the work place and what goes on in the Dr.'s office. I would have no problem of someone, who knows of my status, asking me if she knows. I would, however, have a problem with a person going around the dz telling every person of my own or another persons status. Whether that person thinks that they are doing the right thing and are protecting everyone from a diseased person has no bearing in regards to another's privacy. The person disclosing, for one thing, would not had been privy to the conversation that would had taken place before the two had relations, therefore, the person would only be disclosing the status of another based soley on what they believe of the person they are outing. By disclosing another's status to others opens the poz person to discrimination not only at the dz but outside as well. Information that is treated as confidential can leak into the work place via one person knows another person who knows someone who works with the person who is HIV+. It is quite possible that the persons family may not even know and again information that is private can leak back. The consequences of exposing ones status can affect that persons life in a negative way. HIV/AIDS has a huge stigma attached to it and the majority of those infected keep it between themselves and those extremely close to them. (As you can tell, I am not one of those people
  5. Barring the type of person who is knowingly passing HIV or did not disclose to someone he or she just had sex with, you would not be within your right to disclose anothers HIV status. see post stating the legal status . You would not have first person knowledge of the conversation that might had taken place before the two had relations. The vast majority of those living with HIV/AIDS in this country are not the ones spreading HIV. There are those who do knowingly pass it and there are laws to convict them for doing so. Yet, most transmission, more than 40,000 new cases a year, are now passed by those who were not aware that they were even infected. A growing number are passed by cheating spouses. If you have a friend who is cheating on his wife would you run and tell her that your buddy is screwing around on her? If no, why not? He has just put her in danger of contracting HIV! By outing him as a cheater you may have potentially saved her life! That aside, I would, without doubt, sue you if you were to go around telling others, who are not aware, of my status. The only person who has the right to disclose is the person infected. No one else. Besides, if you have friends who find enjoyment infecting others, maybe you should find a higher class of friends. 6. There, fixed it for you. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  7. I am not sure about other illnesses but, I do know about HIV/AIDS and yes it is illegal. From a legal website; HIV/AIDS Status. Unlike "test results," "status" is any reference that you are living with HIV/ AIDS -- it does not have to be a piece of paper listing your HIV-positive test result. Your rights may be violated if another person discloses your HIV/AIDS status to other people without your consent. Each case is different. If someone else discloses your HIV/AIDS status or HIV test results, you may be able to sue for damages including psychological harm, depression, and damage to your reputation. If you know someone who is telling other people that you have HIV/AIDS or disclosing your HIV test results withoutyour consent, it is best to consult with an attorney (see the Resources chapter for phone numbers). 8. I always got some sort of perverse pleasure out of flying over the prison (over 2000') while they were out in the yard. You can see them looking up and pointing. I always thought "Better you than me". To be locked up there would be a skydivers hell. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  9. http://www.kff.org/kaiserpolls/pomr050806pkg.cfm This is an interesting poll concerning HIV/AIDS as they surveyed whites, blacks and latinos. What I found interesting and true from my own experience is that white folks are the most in the dark and the lease knowledgable about AIDS/HIV. I'm still surprised at how many people do not know what the initials AIDS/HIV stand for. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  10. Kelly, who are the grand prize winner!!!! Your "Get out of prison free card" is in the mail. I had to land near the prison (not really near but, several hundred yards from the prison) after we had an engine out on the Cessna 411 that Rick Eddy had. I did go as far out from the prison as possible before I had to set up for landing. Only the guards didn't feel the same and quickly came out to see why I landed there. Instead of letting me walk across the field adjacent to the runway, the quickest route back to the hanger, they made me walk in front of their truck all the way around to the front of the prison and down the road back to the dz. I still find it funny, though. Anyways Bowling Green is a great place to jump, once again! It was really great to be in freefall once again over the prison and to see some old faces back on the old dz. Also, the Beech 99 rocks! Y'all up there in BG are going to love night jumps over the prison. A great visual. Also, I am the only jumper to do a headdown night dive over BG. I expect that record to be broken soon The pic is from around 1998 - 99. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  11. And yes that is a prison in the background. I found out the hard way what happens if you land within a few hundred yards of their perimeter fence. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  12. Hey, Walt, I realized that I miss posted a reply after an pm from Lisa. If I knew for fact that someone was carelessly spreading an illness, then yes, intrevention is in order. On the otherhand, if someone were to go telling others of my status, even though I am not doing anything, then yes, I would take some sort of action towards them. Most likely I would just pull them aside and let it be known to them that one more word from their mouth and they could expect a legal action against them. My personal info is just that, my personal info. Yet, I do agree that if I were acting in a reckless manner, everyone has the right to be protected from me. 13. Glad you stepped up! Plain old pink is just plain old boring "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  14. My first bike was a Foremost minibike with a 5hp Brigg and Stratton in 1965. I was 5yo. Next came a Suzuki 80 in 1968 and then a Hodaka 100 Super Rat scramble bike in 1970. I bought my first bicycle in 1971 with money I made mowing yards for Judge Carlos Baker in Lemoore, Calif.. It was a bright metalflake green Huffy stingray with apehangers, cheater slick in the rear, a mini wheel up front, a banana seat with a sissy bar, front and rear hand brakes and the coolest thing was the 3 speed shifter mounted on the frame. I was the coolest kid on the block "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  15. I would NEVER sell my rig. I did, however, part out my first rig. Sold the contianer, a Vector ll, to a guy in Brazil. Sold the main, a PD210, to the dzo of Skydive Missouri, who put it in a rig and sold to a guy who jumps there. Good to see the canopy back in the air. However, I still have the non-collapsible pc and the reserve, a Swift 180, that are just sitting uselessly in a box. As far as I know, I am the only one who has flown the reserve. It's like brand new. I'll let it go for $250.00 and shipping cost. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  16. Even though I am very open about having AIDS, I would sue your freaking ass into the bowels of hell if you were to go around telling others who are not aware of my illness of what I have. Besides, I don't spread it as there are no women who are interested in a guy with AIDS. If,by chance, I were to meet a woman interested in me, I would tell her. 17. I read an article awhile back on how U.S. corporations still do biz in countries that under sanctions and are able to do so by going through a third party and having no U.S. citizens on the third party payroll. All transactions are done off of U.S. shores and any U.S. territories to skirt the laws that require U.S. companies to cease doing biz with countries labeled as terrorist friendly. I do fully agree that any politician holding stock in any corporation doing biz in these countries should sell. If for anything, for princible. But, it would be a hypocracy for any citizen who may have stock in these companies to scream of politicians having the same. I think it would do a fair amount of damage economicly for the multitudes to sell their holdings in companies that are doing biz in labeled countries. No real answer to this problem. 18. And that is... Time = Experience = Wisdom. Your learning more everyday, young grasshopper Back in the 80's, I went to work on the railroad. We lived in the railcar that we worked testing rail. Sure, I learned a few things from those in my own age group but, the real learning came from the guys who have been rolling down the rails for 30+ years and have seen and encountered the things that I have yet to see or encountered. Their advise always trumped the advise of someone with just a few years on the rails. It is far wiser to take the advise of those who have traveled around the block than those who have only taken a few steps. 19. YAWN, YAWN, YAWN... Why not scream about the huge amount of dealings that Halliburton does in Iran? I guess Bush and Thugs have no problem with Dicky's Boys doing biz with the "Axis of Evil" as long as the profits are good. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  20. http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=9480669 Check it out, these guys rock! I saw the video last Christmas when Josh, the singer, showed it at my sister's house. Josh is engaged to my niece. Their debut album "Addiction" is set to be released soon with a song that is sure to go to the top of the chart. The song titled "Tour of Duty". Josh wrote it for a friend of his who is in Iraq. Last year when they were in the studio, Keith Urban happened to be in the same studio recording. He sat in to listen to them and really liked their music, particuarly "Tour of Duty". He has asked Josh several times if he could record the song as a country song. So far, Josh has told him no. It just wouldn't sound right coming from anyone else. Anyways, check'em out. THEY ROCK ST. LOUIS!!!! "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." 21. AAAH... If I only knew then what I know now... Time = Experience = Wisdom. A person of, let's say, 75 knows far more than a person of 25 about life. But, I assume, that a person of 75 was much like the 25 year old at one time untill one day that person finds themself at 75 and looking back, shaking his or her head and saying "if I only knew then what I know now...". "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  22. HAHAHA... think twice kid, I've been to a good number of countries since 1979 and have found some to be worst, some to be about the same and one that was amazing (Australia). It is absolutely naive to believe that our "leaders(?)" know what is good for us and that questioning them is unpatriotic and deserving of death for doing so. Your statement makes you sound like a brainwashed zombie who would never question your "leaders". You say I need to look around? I don't know how lucky I am? Well, for one thing, you don't know me or know my situation. Am I lucky that the government decided to pull my medications, effectively handing me a death sentence. The V.A. did THAT after my job went to Mexico and I lost the insurance that paid the V.A. a huge portion of my bill. My meds alone ran near $20,000 per month. One pill alone cost more than $50.00 apiece. I took six of those per day along with a handful of other pills. When I was on meds and getting proper care my weight was near 180. Since being off meds and getting little care (my medicaid will be re-activated in Sept. but, it will only cover monitoring and not meds ) my weight is now 140 and I feel like hell daily. I know firsthand just how FUCKED UP the systems that you claim to be perfect are. Our government needs a thorough cleansing to wash out the scum that has permeated throughout from the top to the bottom. From the presidents (R's and D's) that do nothing to the asshole in some hole in the wall government office who feels that it is their job to make your life a living hell solely because they have that power to do so. I see that you are in Iraq and I wish you the best but if fortune goes against you (and I sincerly hope it does not) you will find out firsthand just what the health system and the systems attched is all about as it has very little to do with healthcare and everything to do with profits (more than $9000.00 a month for a one month supply of medication!!!!). Believe those who have looked around and quit believing what self-serving politicians (R's and D's and all the rest) tell you. Having been caught up in the "system" since 1995, I have an extreme knowledge as to how it works and how it constantly works against a person who is in need of the help that is often denied. 23. Are you talking of the same government that has did a botched up job of running this country, driving it into the dirt, not accomplishing one productive thing, made a mess in other countries, let jobs go to China and other countries, has denied good medical care to those most in need, the same that stuff every bill that crosses its desk with pork and does little for the people but to find new ways to spy on them and to erode our freedoms? Personally I am glad that there are people who will stand up and scream about how fucking screwed up this government is. It's one our rights to be able to do so. I am sick of those who claim to be so patriotic but are first to want those who stand up to die for doing so. How unpatriotic to wish death on those excercising their right. 24. Most people know just how fast a health crisis can deplete a bank account. If I were wealthy, I'd have great coverage. I am not wealthy but, at one time had a very healthy bank account, a great mutual fund along with some stock and a 401K that would had set me up as a millionaire in due time if not for an unforseen illness that wiped me out and forced me into bankruptcy. You say; I was fairly young at 34 and extremely healthy. When you unexpectively get ill and cannot work it is amazing just how fast all that you built up comes crumbling down. Had I invested in a health plan, I most likely would had not had to spend the thousands of dollars only to be broke in a few months. Near 15 years of savings gone in a blink. Do yourself a favor and purchase a health plan. It will only cost you but a few dollars a month and will save your ass and any savings that you may have. I wish I had. 25. Not to crazy about the dealth penalty. Might think different if a family member was murdered. Might not. To many are convicted with questionable "evidence". When you read of those who have been freed when proven that the government was wrong, you have to wonder how many more are scheduled to die while innocent. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2001/03/05/earlyshow/living/main276364.shtml "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black."
