  1. You'll be closest to AAC, as Bodyflight.net will show, will the NH tunnel opens. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  2. Pretty good. Seriously, I would say your partially right. I can say it as I have 19 1/2 years active duty and still going (not much longer though). Some service members who stay in, like being told what to do and having little "work" decisions to make. Others stay in because they are good at what they do, are moving up quickly and leading (making the decisions and advising others in what to do.) Some even stay in because they believe in what the military is for; Protecting the country and its citizens. I fall in the last 2 catogories. I also found I got a few side benifits too; I learnd to skydive, got some extra school, made friends around the country and the world, learned alot about responsibility that I think some of todays teens will never learn, and a whole lot of other things that would take hours to write. Just my opnion based on my observations. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  3. Look at the All American Freefall Teams web page, the Golde nKnights web page and the SilverWings web page, they all have several 92R's on each team. Unfortunatly our 92R (Screaming Eagles PDT) just got reassigned and we need a new one. Want a job?
  4. How about when either you make all your income or spend all your income on skydiving? Then your a skydiver. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  5. ON CBS today they showed the LA times article that ran the story 2 years ago. Even after the LA mayor said today was the first he heard of it, the time had it in black and white. CBS news is running several realted stories on the vening news right now, some they say they are "revising", suggesting they have been reported before? Maybe we missed them, focusing on re-elections, scandals and the Wars being fought over seas. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  6. How the hell did you know that? An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  7. I don't have the neck and cleavage for it. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  8. Hey I have to ask my 10 Year oldDaughter fasion advice so what do I know. I wear camo to work all the time, either that or basic black, no pearls though. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  9. I would have figuredyou would be a threat, but only to the fasion police. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  10. Trey, I run 20 knots as max and 10 knot variences as holds. I should have said that up front. We do that till they have calmed for 10 minutes or more and the variences have calmed (same 10 minutes nad less than 10 knots). Since we are a military team it is right in line with Military rules we follow. US Civilian "only" DZ's may never see or hear of this, and use a "common sense" rule as allowed in the BSRs and FARs. IMO a set limit needs to be announced so that those who have less experience will know prior to being grounded for the wind and it will avoid the arguments that have happened. Just my opinion. I like your DZ and have enjoyed many a jump there, starting back in 1998. Unfortunatly on the net we can't put inflection and emotion and all that better to understand stuff in a post. (unless your Mark Twain or Steven King). An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  11. Another possibility is that while wearing a helmet with O2, gloves and a bit of stress at high altitude the buttom didn't get completely pushed all the way in sequence. The unit will "blink" and stay on at that point, it is a design on both models, I do beleive, to avoid an accidental shut down buy a bump or two in the plane. Just a possibility. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  12. Who didn't jump that day? And why? I agree that the "floating" limits you describe aren't really limits. I know the FAA and USPA BSR's do not limit those of us licensed, but if we do not do a little common sense policing we will have more injuries from landings that happened to be in high winds. The "priceless" post is spot on as well as Tom's. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  17. seeing how many posts are made in this forum alone I can't imagine that not at leas tone was made. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  18. Not sure what the point of such a vicious attack is. The Prof has tons of insite on what the subject is. The CIA Should be a shadow, that is their job. It is the politicians (who are supposed to keep some things secret as part of their commity position) who leak the mistakes when it is a benifit, politically. And if you read a news paper or watch TV news, you will see plenty of CIA success'. One only has to look a little closer. But history will read success differently than you or I read it now. For example; The Soviet Union falling apart was influenced by CIA action (as well as many other supportive nations) no real big secret. They also helped Afgans gain freedom from the Soviet Union, but history will show that may have been a bad idea as the CIA had to partner with an evil that came back to bite our hand. But the whole of this thread is not the CIA or failed politics and politicians, but the bad comments made about service men and women by some one (or "ones") who happen to be in this community. I may not agree with those posts, but I welcome them. I joined the Army so that I could speak freely and thus allow all US citizens and any world citizen who wanted the same to speak freely. So say what you will, but expect me and every one else to voice our opinion, for that is the point; COMMUNICATION. OK, so you don't deserve all of my post pointed at ya. Next time I am in the Chi town area I will be a drink for the lot of ya. I hope the Prof likes beer
  19. If you knew me you would know I am rarely not sarcastic. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  21. I "hears" a rumor you'll be "near" another tunnel in the spring. I am working on a trip to be "near" same said tunnel in the spring. 23. OK, Army, Bouncer, third job and girls. Dude when the hell do you sleep? You know being in a dive team in 10th GRP would have to be tough. Swimming under he polar ice cap has got to be cold!. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  24. I do not disagree that there has been plenty of mistakes. But so many use only the WMD argument. SH did at one point have them, not in dispute, when did they get given to the countries around him? In dispute. You can not blaim all of 9/11 on the current admin. The previous admin had opertunities t oact and in some cases didn't or just made "token" acts. The CIA has made plenty of mistakes I am sure, but so has the DNC, RNC, DOD, NSA, etc. etc. For you or I to argue over it is silly. Neither of us (even with intel insight and higher IQ's) still can't have all the facts. I would guess that even after things are released there will still be plenty of holes and black lines to keep the whole story from getting out. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  25. Tony SHOULD HAVE Neal's sizes on file, keep the suit and use it till your other one gets back. Tony should be able to compare both sets of measurments and fix it up. I did just that with another suit builder, which is why I buy his product even though I can get others for free. edited to say "should have" An Instructors first concern is student safety.
