  1. you're thinking of H-O-G-9, they were moving so damn fast that the 9 was done comepletely as a G with a huge cheat on the cat and the H just presented itself perfectly from the close. I've got it saved if you want me to send it to ya. Ya know the other cool thing I got to see, after all the serious flying was done they were having some fun and I got to watch Andy fly the point slot on blocks 2 and 4, that dudes got some borderline John E quickness on those solo moves. I watched him fly OC when I was doing a 3 on 1 session with em one time, his speed is tailor made for the front piece if he ever wanted to change slots. and he's a great coach too! 2. Be careful for what you ask for, you might just get it! Especially after watching a UFC fight...it can get brutal!! If you'll excuse me for a minute, I have to go change my pants. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  3. Oh yeah, like I would be complaining about a [S]sausagefest[/S] slugfest. Bring it on pretty boy!!! Quote There fixed it for ya, I like it rough History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  4. GQ - Yeah, I commented last year that the Airspeed 'Looked' like it was flowing much like the Russians. I bet they still do stop drills, but are so good that it just looks like they are still moving (and my eyes don't operate so quickly to see it).Quote Craig mentioned in an interview last year that they are basically trying to take the momentun from one move and find a way to translate it into the next, obviously solid stops can do a lot for up and coming teams but at the top level teams are moving away from it. I got to see it up close a few weeks ago when I was in Eloy, they were fine tuning a few blocks, one of the ones that really caught my eye was their transition from the close of an 8 to a J. Andy took grips on the front piece while both pieces were still rotating, never slowed down and slid right out into the J while mark kept his momentum on the back of the cat piece and did the exact same thing. I kept waiting for a stop and they never even slowed down. Mark was also putting some good vert. on the back piece, kicking his legs right over the heads of Craig and Eliana, its such a good learning experience watching em in the tunnel. Kirk, I've seen G used to get out of a SS before but other than that I can only think of 1, maybe 2 other times where using an alternate slot on that one would come into play, which formations do you usually follow a B slot G with? 5. Sure. I've lived here for 5.5 years and NOW after I leave everyone wants to do a UFC gathering. LOL Screw you guys I'm going home to colorado Ugh!! But I was hoping to convince you into staying so we can have a threesome....!! Umm sweetie, my ego makes me count as two people so technically that would be a foursome, and an awesome one at that since I would be constantly competing against myself to outlast myself History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. 6. Anybody want to meet me in Vegas in May since 83 is already frickin' sold out??!!?? Quote I'll be a short drive from Vegas in May, give me a call, I'll be your date History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower

  8. All Tito has is GNP and lets face it - he's past his prime.Quote I'm always hesitant to count Tito out of any fight, plus I'm still a fan of his. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  9. Sokoudjou, BJ, Rich Franklin, and Bonnar are all on this guys card as wins. Tito is going to get beaten badly. Quote Bonnar is a hit or miss fighter, I've honestly never been all that impressed with him, IMO he lost his first fight on TUF and never should have made it to the finals. I don't really put too much weight in the win over BJ either, BJ is a lightweight, back then he offered to step up to LH to fight this guy, that's a HUGE weight disadvantage and Machida couldn't finish him, it was a decision. I like Machida, I tihnk he's a great fighter, I've just nnever really seen him go toe to toe with a truly dominant wrestler. If Tito comes out in great shape with no nagging injuries I think its going to be a war and Tito could pull off a decision. 10. Yep, but Tito hasn't beaten anyone of note in a long time. I think Machida is going to handle him.Quote That's a tough one to call, there's still too many unanswered questions about Machida to make a good judgement. 11. A good rule of thumb for asking for advice in these forums. If you have to defend yourself, you are doing something wrong. No one here is taking shots at you but you are tryin to justify everything you do rather than take the advice that is given. If you aren't going to listen to advice, don't ask for it, and don't expect sympathy when we cart you off the DZ in a stretcher. I'm going to go ahead and throw some money in that pool if its still going. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  12. Take a look at the whole card, it's stacked with talent and most is on the undercad, Diego Sanchez and Josh Koscheck are undercard fighters this time, that's crazy. I think if silva wins this one its going to be by decision, he doesn't have a chance of knocking Dan out, and he doesn't have the strength to work through Hendo's submission defense. The only thing that is going to keep Dan from winning is himself, he could've won the Rampage fight but he wasn't agressive enough, rampage didn't have a answer to stop Dan and easily could've lost that fight. If Hendo goes out and pulls the trigger like he did against Wanderlei when he's on his feet, and uses every set of strikes as an opportunity to work a takedown he will win this thing. He has a different style of takedowns as well which prevent him from ending up in someone's guard, unlike the double legs Tito and most others usually stick with, he usually ends up in side control after a takedown, which is a solid position for a ground and pound attack. 13. Yeah, and they seem to flow from point to point instead of the stop/grip/go thing too. It's cool, but I don't think we are mentally at that point in any way, shape, or form. Quote You typically don't see too many teams below a 20 average the really use that too successfully, Airspeed started moving to that a few years back and it's worked great for them. 15. Any hot spots I should get to? Quote Blondies, 13 pure, red martini, V bar, 15 C, Metro, or Southside Johnny's. Just stay away from Rum Bays, the Ritz, the Vue(soon to be cowboy's). We also have the worlds smallest bar, it's between red martini and rum bays and seats 4, it's awesome History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. 16. Ask any cop about 'domestic disturbances' and you'll probably hear a very similar story. Years ago, a budy of mine and I were in a beer joint talking. Shortly, we heard the most God-awful screaming. This ol' boy was slapping a woman around pretty bad. We were going to help 'save' her. She told us in no uncertain terms to 'Git your damned hands off my man!', while she was waving a broken beer bottle at us. Thank the Lord, the cops showed-up. Quote Watch an episode of cops, how many imes have you sen a wife attack the cops after they stop her husband from attacking her? It's a horrible cycle these women get drawn into. 21. If I feel better about myself by pretending you are a smurf that can fly and goes around protecting talking dogs... Can I? Quote Sometimes I pretend I have breasts so I can feel myself, I wouldn't recommend pretending things like that in public though. 22. While I agree that pure boxing is an ineffective discipline compared to other types practiced in MMA, do we know that Mayweather has no kicking or grappling talent? For real pro fighting, the money is in boxing, so it stands to reason that those are the skills we are most likely to know about. I'm not saying he has other skills, I'm saying I don't know. Quote Floyd has some high school wrestling experience, I'd have to dig to figure out if he took that to college or not, and as you said he is naturally athletically gifted so he will more than likely pick up MMA very well. However the kind of talent he would experience in MMA would trump his high school wrestling, he was offered a fight with Sean Sherk if he were to step into the octagon and Sean sherk is a freak of nature and wrestling phenom. In terms of making a good move from a financial standpoint he made the right choice, but he is in a combat sport where you are judged for being a warrior. And as physically tough as one must be to make it in pro-wrestling due to the punishment on your body it does nothing to prove you as a fighter. So apparently Floyd considers money to be more important than respect, so I stand by the statement he made before his fight with Oscar, he's a sorry excuse for a warriror. 24. Stewart is great. Colbert is simply awesome.Quote Colbert is great, I agree, it doesn't matter who he is making fun of he does it so well that you just can't hate him. Jon has basically given up all attempts at humor and traded them in for a leftist agenda, I would feel the same way about someone who did the same for the right.
