  1. I bet you picked up and banged all kinds of hot stupid sexy chicks during your drunken stupor last night didnt you? Quote No no no, I didn't pick up any new hot sexy chicks, I was trying to help my newly single friend meet women, he got a phone number, i'm so proud Besides I had a date with me History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  2. I don't gamble for the sake of hubris. I gamble to make money, just like any other investor. I don't know anything about Silva or Henderson, and bet or no bet, I won't be inclined to watch the fight; violence simply does not interest me. What I do know is that bookies are right more often that they're wrong. They say arguing over sports is unbecoming of a gentleman, and one should either be willing to back their claims up with cash or shut up. I'm quite willing to post my money, how about you? Quote Congratulations you just took all the fun out of this thread. Please take all of your smart person words like hubris(which by the way I can't even pronounce) and head back over to speakers corner where you can continue debating topics you know nothing about without ruining the fight fans fun. And about aruing over sports, I truly honestly couldn't give a fuck who "they" are, but arguing is arguing whether it is about sports, politics, nipple types, you name it, it's still an argument buddy, so if you're going to come into a thread full of friends chatting about something we enjoy watching and knock us(which you can't deny you made a half-assed attempt at hiding) please leave, we're having good time in here. And as for your bookie argument, go look at all my UFC threads, I'm almost always right on the big fights and strangely enough I don't usually coincide with the bookies, they might be gret at working with statistics but I draw from actual fight experience and a knowledge of how things work in the MMA world. And on that note, bookies are involved in sports albeit indirectly, you were agruing about bookies so therefore you were arguing about sports so OH MY GOD YOU AREN'T A GENTLEMAN!!! Fights over Dan wins(I'm Dan!!) Can you feel that baby, huh, can you??!! I love how superdiciously awesome I am! 3. I'm not interested in the first one, but I find the other two appealing. I'm not interested in a large bet, since I don't gamble with money I don't have, but I'm not opposed to a small, friendly wager. With whom do you suggest we post our money? (PM your suggestion.) Quote no no no, friendly bet, not for money!!! and no i didn't want to bet on bookies being right the majority of the time. I'll take Hendo to win and when I'm right you have to make a post in the bonfire titled "GQ was so much righter than me" and in the post you have to discuss the awesomenicity of my correctitudeness in all aspects of fight predicting, along with the post you have to post a pic of you holding a sign declaring how truthishly great my predictions are. And if Silva wins I'll be sure to PM you to remind you that the bet has been cancelled History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  4. IV bag.. Quote When I used to live in the barracks I kept a case of IVs in my room and have my buddy stick me every sunday morning. Iactually ended up going to red robin with my sister and had a kick as burger and a margarita to cure my hangover..........I'm still hungover
  5. Chicago style deep dish pizza did the trick for me today!Quote I like your moves!!! Good call History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  6. a LOT != most But go ahead and consistently bet against the bookies knowing how to do their job if you want to. Quote You didn't by chance catch the comment I made in SC about a week ago about rednecks and wrestling did you?? How bout a friendly bet on it History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  7. If your statement is true, the odds on favorites lost the majority of the time last year. I have a hard time believing that happened. Underdogs are expected to win sometimes, just not most of the time. Quote 2007 was the year of the upsets, a LOT of the big fights last year were won by the underdogs, Jackson, Serra, Randy, Gonzaga, Koscheck, it was a big year for the up and comers. 8. Anybody else take to the water after pounding the dirt? Quote great environment for rehab, anything low-impact like that can be a great relief when you are recovering. I took to the elliptical a lot after screwing up my LCL last year, love those machines
  9. Then go outside & walk.Quote I tried to hump my hangover away with the help of a friend this morning, but unortunately as much fun as it was I'm still hungover. so there goes the exercise theory Next time I move I'm not telling anyone I'm leaving, I've had a 2 month long series of going away parties hosted by my friends and each one gets me more trashed than the last! 10. Can I get some suggestions for hangover munchies, and I'm not talking about some healthy style cures, I'm talkin about those greasy nasty junk foods that just mke you feel super when you're hungover. Suggestions PLEASE!!! I am still so wasted from last night, I need to recover so I can do it again tonight History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. 11. IMO, one can make more money betting that the bookies know what they are talking about than they can betting against them. If offered an even bet, the smart money is on Silva. Quote Actually one could've retired off of betting against the bookies last year, I'm going to stick with Hendo against all odds on this one. I think if there's one thing that can stop Dan in this fight it's himself, he could've won that Rampage fight if he had relied a little more on his wrestling skills and less on his standup game. If he keeps Silva on his back defending long enough to wear him down a bit it will go a long way to giving dan an opening to knock him out on his feet. About the Dana white converstaion, I agree that dana has done some great things in the past, but it seems that the money and fame has led him astray. There comes a point when someone has maximized their contributions and it's time to go a different way, I feel that's what time it is for Dana and the Fertittas. 12. I do abs every day, 6 days a week it's a light workout just to keep them tuned up and then once week I do my core workout which destroys them. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  13. called all of those except GonzagaQuote I called Gonzaga because he had a top notch ground game and wasn't afrid to get close and mix it up with CC. I'll admit Randy's pick for Gonzaga had a lot to do with my decision, he brought to light that CC's biggest weakness was grapplers who aren't afraid to close the distance, if Randy ever squared up with him I think he'd be kryptonite for that guy. 14. Total nonsense. There are 10+ threads on Sherdog of people asking about Silva's chin, and the consensus is that he has taken massive shots and barely blinked. If you look on Youtube you can also find several videos of him taking shots directly on the chin and being unfazed. Watch his fight with Murray, for example. Quote I've missed a few of Silva's earlier fights, I'll have to go do a youtube search, in the fights I've see of his I have yet to see someone check how thick his whiskers are. 15. Exactly, if it is a great time to be a soldier, it is an incredibly outstanding time to be a defense supplier. (I wonder where their money goes ) Quote True as well, it's all about supply and demand, I look at it as a way to help my retirement a little bit, defense stocks are WAY up History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  16. No worries bro, I can be a drama queen at times History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  17. How bout someone who just loves the sport, as something more than an ATM, put someone like Dan Severn in charge, someone who just wants to help the sport. Give it 5 years and Forrest will be the perfect candidate, I'd say Tito but as long as Jenna is pulling his string I don't trust her. 18. but the UFC has the mainstream exposure and recognition, we lose the UFC we lose our biggest outlet, Dana needs to go, he only got the job because he was buddies with the Fertitas and suked up to emto get it History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  19. I just got back from the bar, so I WAS drinkin
  20. I just hope that its not the first sign of the rats leaving the ship before it sinks. Quote If this is the case the two daddy rats just jumped ship, if Dana had an ounce of common sense he would ask Randy to fight minotauro seeing as he has earned his shot while they continue negotiations with Fedor for a multi promotion fight. 21. He hits her once... it only escalates and some day she could very well wind-up dead. Quote Attitudes like this only make it harder for a guy who did something like this to learn from it, is it acceptable? No. Does it automatically mean he is in a downward spiral towards being a serial killer? No History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  22. I much prefer men...but if she's hot enough, I don't care what color she is!! LOL!!! You sound like such a racist bitch!! Should I be laughing...??? Well the one I'm taking out is black too, so I think that squashes the racist theory Oh and BTW so was my ex-wife, trust me, I'm in touch with my blackness History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  23. No, now is the time for her to get the hell out. If she's already passive, and he's already making excuses for his behavior ("it's because I was drunk"), this could go in a very bad direction very quickly. I'd hate to look at her after months or years of abuse and wonder "Why didn't she leave?" Maybe it's not the beginning of a classic abuse cycle. Sure sounds like it, though. I don't recall ever hearing that he is using being drunk as an excuse, I went back and looked at the original post to confirm, it IS a detail of the situation but it has not been mentioned that the guy said that's why he did it. Give him time to himself definitely, let him spend time hating himself for what he did, but he's only human, if he made a stupid mistake that only proves he human. If that's all it was, a mistake than people can learn and move on, life is a learning experience and someone willing to work through it with them will only make them stronger. However I do agree that if the guy is a hot-head turn tail and run, if he loses his temper a lot and this time it just happened to make him snap than he's a risk factor. The big thing is this is the wrong place to ask this kind of advice because few if any people will act rationally, everyone will go with the emotional reaction and scream to feed him to the wolves and run away. People that know both parties and are mature enough to give you an un-biased opinion are the way to go here. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  24. this case the guy was just upset cause he wasn't getting his own way. There was nobody else around, nobody was in danger, and the girl involved is a very passive kinda person. Quote Look at the way the guy reacted to what he did, like was mentioned before, if he tried to justify his actions he may very well do it again, if he has a look in his eyes like he feels 2 feet tall than he's more than learned the error of his ways. It may however be a good time to set up some boundries when it comes to drinking. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  25. I don't think we are talking about the same thing. Tito's was paid 200,000 for the fight. He made most of his money on merchandise. Team punishment. He admitted he got a bonus but on the howard stern show a few weeks ago he said he made 200,000 for the fight itself. Quote I must have been thinking about something else, that fight was in 06, I've been knocked in the head too many times since then History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
