Why didn't you ever press charges?
-
I heard that one reason Walt has been absent all season is that the child actor who played him had a HUGE growth spurt in the off season. Since supposedly they've only been on the island about 2 months or something, its hard to justify the kid suddenly being 6 inches taller! I guess they could write it into the storyline as part of the island's mysterious healing powers, but only Locke and Rose seem to know about that! About Walt- what do you think? Did the others want him because he's an "innocent" like the other kids they took who are supposedly "in a better place"? or because he had those special abilities?

I'm simply pointing out that a) you're not exactly delivering new or earth shattering information and b) there's really no comparison with saturating teeny tiny ANTS with 6-10 packets of Equal and a HUMAN drinking a few diet cokes every day. I'm pretty sure there's traces of poison in lots of things we eat, drink and inhale everyday but I'm not about to lock myself up in a bubble because of it. Besides, with so many varieties of Diet Coke out there, you really can pick your poison- saccarine, aspartame or Splenda. Each with its own benefits and drawbacks.

I don't think he's the leader. I think he was telling the truth when he said he thought if the lostaways didn't kill him, the leader would. He lied about a lot, but I think he was genuinely scared. But I'm pretty sure Michael let him go and did NOT kill him. He's either been brainwashed or he's absolutely convinced this is the only way to get Walt back.

Its not exactly news that nutrasweet in large quantities is bad for you. And 6-10 packets is an extremely large quantity when you are talking about ants.

Well, I'm digging my new CuisineArt Grind n Brew coffee maker right now, but I'm not sure its reached best friend status just yet. It probably makes the best coffee I've ever had from a home coffee maker, though. I'd say we're bonding!

Happy Happy! Have a Great One! Bytch- don't you have a B-day coming up soon also?
-
OK- I've got to disagree about Katharine. I think she has a beautiful well trained voice with a lot of power and range. Not at all mediochre. I love the whole classic bluesy feel to it- she reminds me a little of Kelly Clarkson. I *hope* after she wins they allow her to record something that plays to her strengths and they don't try to force into a "pop" mold like they did with Clarkson's first CD. (sure, it sold really well, but it was pretty crappy!) But I'm with you about the crawling around on her knees bit. That I did not get at all! But I thought she sounded great!

Isn't that Seacrest's JOB? To stir sh** up? Last year, I can't even count how many times he got Carrie to say something that made her look REALLY stupid, just by asking the right questions and leading her. I thought that was pretty bad, but this year, he really stepped it up. Its been so much more blatant, especially some of those early "interviews" with Kellie- "So, what did you eat THIS week, Kellie?"

I wouldn't say it was the WORST thing, but I'm with you! a) doing the Beatles was a cheat, b) sorry, but isn't that song somewhat scared? and c) as far as I'm concerned, he didn't do it justice. No, he didn't butcher it, but as you said, it was lacking the heart and soul of the original. And the bad Vegas lounge act comment seems pretty accurate, too. It *might* be enough to send him home tonight, but my money is still on Ell-eeeee-utt or Paris to leave tonight. Oh- and note to Randy and the producers in case they are reading! PLEASE PLEASE no Beatles night on American Idol EVER! That will result in a lot of TV sets being destroyed all across America as people either throw things at them or pick up the tvs and hurl them out windows just to make it stop!!
-
If it makes you feel any better, there is nothing I can add to your description of Paris's second outfit!
-
Me? I thought Ell-eeeeeee-utt was blah, and his second performance? Nothing to write home about. Big fat yawn for me! Paris- yes, she's got a great voice, but I can't get past the outfits, her stupid little voice and the fact that week after week she loos and sounds like someone trying desperately to be someone she isn't. I'm sure she'll have a great career when she grows up but for now? uh uh...... Loved Chris with his first number and agree with the judges about his second. Katharine- her firt number, not so great but nowhere near Kellie Pickler bad. It was just rough and the truth is, everyone expects better from her. Even the judges seem to hold her to a hogher standard. Taylor? Who said it? Robin Williams meets Joe Cocker! Perfect description! (Except he probably thinks its closer to Jerry Lee Lewis!) He soooooo needs to stop the ridiculous dancing! He does have a good voice, but the dancing distracted me from his first performance, and doing a Beatles song was a cheat. Carrie- Hate to break it to you, but Katharine is in it for the long haul! Tonight will be Ell-eee- utt or Paris!

She does have enough pills to OD on. Logan gave Novick the OK to bring them to her against doctor's orders, and he made it clear he brought her a week's supply. I think its Logan's passive aggressive way of getting rid of her. He can't strangle her with his bare hands, but he can drive her to suicide. When she does OD, at first he'll blame Novick, but the guilt will eventually get to him. Sort of a modern day MacBeth, no?
-
Great Cloe and Buchanan moments last night! The stun gun was priceless, especially when she did it a second time! WTF was Novick thinking when he brought Jean Smart an entire week's worth of pills? By showing her drinking and slurring, plus the argument with Logan, they've already set the stage for an OD, and *maybe* the strain of that, plus the guilt might be enough to finally push Logan over the edge. Lameass plot device if you ask me! I could see Mike bringing her 1 pill to "get her through the night", but an entire week's supply? LAME!
-
Good question- last I remember, Curtis was in charge of bringing her and Robocop back to CTU. Did he get lost? Maybe he's still looking for Behrooz!
-
That's it exactly. Too many people know something is up, too many higher ups are asking questions, and at this point, he doesn't know Secretary Heller is dead, does he? (Yet another higher up who knows.....) Just the fact that "Chopper Man" was able to intercept a call from Cloe to CTU about the recording means someone at CTU is on to him as well. Hellooooo??????
-
Maybe another helicopter will fall on him! Next week though- talk about a stretch! How on earth does ANY president justify shooting a plane full of diplomats and civilians out of the sky! Puuuhhhleeeeeze! Just when I thought the season was starting to turn itself around!

She did a tandem with the Golden Knights a couple of years ago out at Skydive Chicago. Bill Rancic was there too. I believe he *may* actually be a licensed jumper so I don't know if he did a tandem or not.

See- in my experience, there's a difference between people who ACT conceited because they are really insecure, and people who really are conceited and believe they are better than everyone else. I've encountered both in my lifetime, and there's not a whole lot you can do about the latter except maybe watch (and enjoy) while they set themselves up for a big fall.
-
Serious answer: I personally find the "C" word to be one of THE most offensive out there and pretty much every woman I know feels the same way. I don't use it, even as a joke, and IF I used it to describe another woman, she'd have to be more than conceited and bitchy. I don't even know what another woman would have to do to inspire that level of loathing and disgust from me.
-
There's no need. They already know, they're OK with it, kind of proud of it even and they really don't care what other people think.
-
OK, a little late, but I agree with the general consensus here. I thought the judges were WAAAAY too harsh with Katharine, and way too gracious with Elliott. I thought Katharine and Chris were by far the best of the night, and found Ell-eeeeee-ut's perfomance to be tentative and lacking passion. Not that he hit a bad note or anything, but for me it was nothing rave worthy. Paula was probably crying because Simon took her hootch away! Kellie- poor Kellie- butchered another song and you just knew she was going to before she even opened her mouth. All I needed to hear was "Unchained Melody" and I knew for the 2nd week in a row, she'd make my ears bleed! Unchained Melody? Tried and butchered by so many other better singers out there! What was she thinking? Paris- Simon must have been reading my mind when he said she sounded like she was TRYING to sound older. It wasn't good. best female vocal of the night? Better than Katharine's flawless performance? Not even in the same league! Paula needs to put down her crack pipe. Even Simon apologized! Taylor seemed off, especially at the start, but something clicked about 3/4 of the way through the song, and he had a great finish. Chris was amazing- perfect song choice for him, IMO. (And I saw no Creed wannabe in that performance!) As much as I would have liked to see Paris leave tonight, after two really bad weeks in a row, Kellie was the right choice. FOX was pretty quick to use Lisa Tucker in one of their shows, so maybe they'll do the same for her.

Heller driving his car off the cliff was pretty easy to predict. Actually, its an ongoing theme for the show. The "good" guys who do bad things that enable the "bad" guys end up dying in ways that redeem their mistakes. I actually enjoyed last night. True to form for their less than stellar seasons, now that the "day" is winding down, they're finally close to introducing the "real" villains and the "real" conspiracy. So, of course, I'll be tuning in next week! On a related note, the "regular guy" did his movie review of The Sentinal on the radio today. (He's in Chicago on WXRT- does movie reviews with a thick chicaaaaaago accent.) Pretty funny- he compared the movie to 24 and said it wasn't anywhere near as good. I agree with at least 90% of his movie reviews, so I'll at least wait until its at the cheap show to go see it!
-
Right- so he wasn't too wimpy to kill Walt, but he WAS too wimpy to kill his wife. The real question- where does that leave Aaron? And don't you just love how they wait until the last 4 or 5 hours to introduce the REAL villains? Like everyone else was just sub-villians, Robocop and Logan included!
-
If they did stuff like that then I just might start watching the elimination shows!
