  1. GreekOne- I pretty much agree with your post! Last night was sooooo stacked against Kat- in true American Idol fashion, by the time finale night rolls around, they've decided on their winner and the would be runner up gets pretty much screwed. I kind of don't get it since they stand to make so much more money off of her, but they pimped Taylor. He got the glory slot, a song written FOR him to sing and everyone completely overlooked the fact that his voice was pretty much shot after his first song and he couldn't hit any high notes. (Kind of like last week- good thing for him the competition is almost over. It will be interesting to see how he performs tonight.) Kat, on the other had, had to go first, got ripped on for no good reason after the first song, well deserved props for her second, then got saddled with an awful number for her debut "single"! I like her and I tried to like that song, but it just wasn't possible, and I do think it was the song and not her. Taylor's OK, and I actually like his voice when he stands still and sings something within his somewhat limited range. But the "dancing" and other antics? Ugh! He's a chubby grey haired man acting like a hyperactive child! Soul patrol my a$$! Whatever- as TWOP said in their recap- American Idol will get the idol they deserve. They pimped him and crowned him, and he'll sell about as many CDs as Ruben. Good for them! I just hope they don't "DeGarmo" McPhee because she deserves better.
  2. Seriously? I don't think any amount of ibuprofen will work on a migraine, and if you take too much all it will do is mess up your stomach. Find something a little (a lot) stronger and lay down for a while in a dark room. Without a prescription, something like excedrin *may* help. I'm not sure if its the aspirin/tylenol combo or the added caffiene but that tends to work better on serious headaches than ibuprofen. Hope you feel better soon!
  3. I *think* on the west coast, they air the show during regular prime time, so it isn't live but they still get their two hours to vote after the show airs. And yes, they can get the spoilers just by going to the "nut job" website.

I don't think the 24 hour format hampered anything in this case- Logan really WAS a bad lay! If only he'd taken a little more time to satisfy his wife, she might not have turned on him! Couldn't you just hear the collected EEEEWWWWW across the country during that scene?

Damn those writers anyway! They skate through the entire middle of the season, but finish strong with a cliffhanger so they KNOW we'll all be back watching next year! I totally agree though- wtf was Jack thinking following an Asian man into an empty building to use a land line of all things? Just when he was soooo close to finally getting some!
  6. Stay away from the "official" Idol forums! Those people are serious nut jobs! Oh, wait- you'll fit right in..................

As far as Logan is concerned, when Buchanon and the homeland security lady were flirting, they said as much- he'd resign, plead down and spare the country a lengthy impeachment. The Chinese appear to have beaten up Jack in about the same amount of time it took Logan to screw poor Martha! eeeeewwwww! (and apparently they did a much better job!) I had to laugh at the end when he said to her "You MADE LOVE to me!" I kept waiting for her to say "You call THAT making love?!" I wonder if she closed her eyes and pretended it was Aaron! With almost all of Jack's friends dead, who is left to rescue him?

I was hoping he'd have one more unfortunate helicopter incident! I guess that would have been too much, huh?

Yes- years and years of bad sex apparently! I think the clock said 5:55 when she started unding his tie and by 6:00 he was zipping up her dress again! The season started off really good, dragged quite a bit in the middle and redeemed itself by the ending. And I KNOW I wasn't the only one yelling at Jack not to go into the building. Its a trap, DON'T go! Poor dude- he can't even get a little loving before the **** starts up all over again! And WHEN will someone remind the Chinese dude that his guy was hit by friendly fire and if the embassy wasn't harboring a terrorist, Jack wouldn't have needed to go in there in the first place?!
  10. You probably did the right thing by paying it, but my understanding is that there is some kind of "statute of limitations" on that sort of thing* AND a $60.00 medical collection won't have much impact on your credit rating. *My understanding is that for the bill to be valid, the service provider needs to make an effort to collect on it within a certain period of time- unless they can prove they sent out previous bills, they really don't have a right to collect 6 years later.
  11. Awwww Shari! That sucks! Heal fast and enjoy the good drugs!

    Greys Anatomy

I bawled like a baby when they put the dog down, but that's mostly because of the memories of my own pets the scene brought back. I'm kind of ehhhh on the show. Too Soap-ish, and I'm really not that into the characters. Attractive young doctors sleeping with each other- so what? I actually find Crossing Jordan (same time slot) much more interesting if I'm looking for something to watch on a Sunday night.
  13. I look for the same reason I look at the locked threads. I can't help myself!
  14. How did he land a downplane "safely"? I'm actually more curious about that than what caused the cypres to fire. Are you sure it wasn't the other way around? Went from a down plane into a landable bi-plane? I've seen more than one person land a down plane for whatever reason, and none of them walked away. They all sustained pretty significant injuries.
  15. I think you are officially obsessed! Besides- its bad juju to post the entire spoiler verbatum. Some of us can't help but look! Why not just post a link to where it can be found?
  16. Yes, I know of at least one person who was seriously injured in a skydiving accident. He found out after the fact that his policy had a "dangerous sports" exclusion, and they did not pay a dime. (And we're talking significant medical bills- airlifting, intensive care, several surgeries, rehab, etc.) The real kicker is his wife worked for the insurance company and neither of them had any idea the exclusion was on the policy until they tried to file their claim. Since then, I've actually tried more than once to get a copy of my employer provided health insurance policy to see if there is any such exclusion, and I've found the process to be extremely difficult, so much so that I gave up.

One way or another- no. Either he'll resign, be forced out of office OR the people who are really in charge will have him killed since he's too arrogant to do it himself. Of course, as we've seen, the VP isn't much better. Is that art imitating life or the other way around?

LOVED both Aaron and Martha last night. Outside of Jack, Aaron has to be one of my favorite recurring characters from previous seasons. And I loved Martha getting ready to eat a handful of pills and then tossing them away. Shooting the "bad" agent as he was trying to kill Aaron was just gravy for me. The finale should be really good next week!
  19. Chris is probably contracted to Idol for much longer than the tour- at least 2 years during which Idol will have first refusal and approval rights (plus a piece of the profits) over any contract he signs. If you think he'll have absolute freedom to do whatever he pleases in the music industry once the tour is over, you are being very naive. When all the Corey Clark BS came out last year, one of the few things I really DID believe was that Idol interfered with (sabotaged?) his career after he was booted off the show. Don't get me wrong- I think the guy is a thug, but I believed that part of his story. The finalists sign very restrictive contracts which have only gotten more unbreakable after a lawyer was able to help Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken to get out of theirs. And that's not to say Chris won't have opportunities, but it won't be that simple.

    LOST

yes, but is she REALLY dead? Part of the episode focused on someone coming BACK from the dead, right?
  21. I kind of disagree about Danielle sinking her own ship. Courtney was rolling her eyes and virtually EVERYTHING that was said. With the exception of Shane, her entire "alliance" turned on her. Still, she and Shane are both certifiable, so how they vote is anyone's guess. Everyone is commenting on the "smart" game that Cirie has played so far, and that's true BUT Danielle has also played a smart game, AND she's managed to stay under the radar- something you can no longer say about Cirie. I give Cirie a lot of credit for sitting back and watching her tribe of nutjobs (mostly Shane and Courtney) self destruct, learning their weaknesses and using them to her advantage!
  22. Well- I kind of doubt anyone associated with Survivor would leak the final results, although last season the final 2 was leaked on CBS' official website. I don't believe it was an accident- small spoilers are good for their ratings- final results? Not so much! That said, if Terry contines his run in the immunity challenges, Danielle is an obvious choice to take to the finals with him. (I'm not sure why everyone finds Cirie and Aras so much more likable than her though- I really don't get it!) All that's really left to be seen is if her teammates are so bitter against her they vote for Terry to win instead. Shane and Courtney are both pretty much nuts, AND they were totally blindsided so how they vote is anyone's guess. (They should be more pissed at Cirie over that since she flat out lied to their faces, but they are nuts!) Yeah, Terry has physically dominated the game and as such, in a way, he deserves to win BUT he also hasn't done much to win votes from the old Casayans and that's part of the game too. (Not that they rolled out the welcome mat to him either, but still, THEY had nothing to lose and he does.)
  23. 3 Cats- Gizmo, Tamika and Spike. We've got a few fish too- Aphrodite, Ulyses, Stanley and Patty. Amazon- I used to have a Milo AND a Tigger (and also a Shakespeare.) I remember them all fondly!
  24. Out of the places I have jumped at, I'd have to say Ixtapa, Mexico. Even the ride to altitude is beautiful.
  25. Sorry, I was just curious because a friend of a friend has an apparently nasty unstable wife who is abusive and he WON'T press charges. He got arrested for trying to defend himself by holding her hands and let the cops take him to jail without mentioning that she pulled a knife on him. What's really sad is they have a kid together. By not pressing charges, in my opinion, he's just enabling her- not to mention making it all but impossible to get custody if they ever separate or get divorced.
