I like F-111. I find I have more consistant openings than with ZP. I use a 32 inch with my Wing suit and a 30 inch for regular jumps. I replace at between 300 - 400 dives. Since I do around 450 dives a year spread over 3 rigs, it's not a common occurence to replace my pilot chute. I think a lot of jumpers who buy ZP don't last as long in this sport as their pilot chute will. t It's the year of the Pig.

OK. I gave the date to my mom. She said I was 20 months old in November 1963. We lived half a world away, in a country which would not have TV until 13 years after the incident. She doesn't remember me wanting to skydive then. Does that help?

I like that you don't need to send them away. I've sent 2 cypreses away. One took 6 months, and came back with a problem that took me 2 years, a new reserve and about 9 pack jobs (on a 180 day cycle) to solve with little to no support from airtec. The other took 4 months and resulted in being AAD less for the recent trip to the US. I've been using a Vigil in my "spare" spare rig (Kinda No 3 standby) for the past year, and since the recall for the "static" fire - have had no negative issues what so ever. My next 2 AAD's, due in about a year - will be Vigils, if my current experience with them holds out. I'm loathe to reward people who fuck me around with more business. t It's the year of the Pig.

They're fine on the Atom due to the placement of the main ring higher on the shoulder. Other rigs, with the main ring on the front of the shoulder can trap the middle rig and make release of the main difficult - or impossible. t It's the year of the Pig.

Money. Or Ego. I think Tom Piras fell, quite literally, into the 2nd category. t It's the year of the Pig.

So... 85% of DZ.commers are younger than me.. I hope I have more dives than 85% of DZ.commers... t It's the year of the Pig.

Thanks Courtney. Anyone who comes to Johannesburg from Namibia for the weekend to learn to fly a wingsuit... doesn't need that much help. Your enthusiasm is an inspiration! t It's the year of the Pig.

Ahh. If only you knew what we said about you after that level 1. I'd tell you, now that you're one of the big boys... If I could only remember! Must have been OK though - we did pass you to L2! Thanks for your time and companionship over the last... 7 years? You can put in a good word for me in 30 years time when the CI thinks I'm too old to land my wingsuit! t It's the year of the Pig.

5 sentences? Stay alive. Can't think how the next 4 will be more important than that! t It's the year of the Pig.

Yes. But he has no oil, never tried to kill GWB's dad, and is not a "Bad man." t It's the year of the Pig.

They can get paid - as long as they pay all the expenses involved in training, equiping, transporting, feeding etc as though they were a private contractor. I think that would leave them in a lot of debt. The guys who found Sadam were not paid. t It's the year of the Pig.

That's not the way I see it. This is obviously the "next .Phi" refered to in the Press release. t It's the year of the Pig.

QuoteI guess you need those giant steel balls on either side of the compass .... Before you google - those should be Brass balls. Hence the expression "Cold enough to freeze the balls of a Brass Monkey" as that's what the compass Binnacle was called... although this has mutated over time into the rack used to carry or store cannon balls. But that's legends for you... Ahh. Useless trivia.. not often I get to use that one! t It's the year of the Pig.

I'm afraid not. I havn't jumped since Sunday, and I won't be jumping again till Saturday morning... The hell of having a "real" job... t It's the year of the Pig.

What age will you stop skydiving if any.

MOP's state: "1.2.9 A CI/SO or SJO may prevent any individual from participating in sport parachuting activities under his supervision, if in his opinion the individual constitutes a threat to the safe conduct of the activity." I back the JSC CI 100% on his desision to pull the plug on this jumper. Also - it must be added that the jumper is now also plainly aware of the potential consequence of failure to deploy either main or reserve parachute - and has little desire to continue. t It's the year of the Pig. -
I did my 1st jump. I'm glad I did. t It's the year of the Pig.
