Umm.. Oceans 12? t It's the year of the Pig.

So lets get this straight. You registered on this site today. You've made one post. You have no name, no DZ, no jumps. And you think Mirage released a SB that would certainly upset/disapoint their clients to turn a profit? I wonder how much you spend on this sport in a year, and whether $60 really makes a difference. I jump a G4 that needs the mod. I have a G3 which is currently under construction. I'll stay with Mirage because if there's an issue - I get to hear about it. Skydiving is a democracy. By all means, vote with your dollars. Understand though, that it's a small industry, and all manufacturers make mistakes. t It's the year of the Pig.

I don't understand your poll. 1, 2, 3, 4 what? If you don't know if you're going straight down, you have no business releasing things in freefall. Work with your instructors. Good luck, t It's the year of the Pig.

If you are a true conscientious objector, you have no business joining any form of military in the 1st place. It can be a valid response to the draft or conscription, however, where your inclusion is without your consent. If a consientious objector is drafted, they usually fall into 2 categories. A) Those who are prepaired to work in support or community service rolls as opposed to combat ready troops. B) Those who feel that even working in a supporting role frees up some other soul to fight - and is hence wrong. These are usually detained for the period they would have been drafted for - or in some cases longer - to prevent or discourage this form of resistance. t It's the year of the Pig.

So did the dude die or not? t It's the year of the Pig.

Ooh! Time for a new Birdman suit! Any excuse is good enough for more toys! t It's the year of the Pig.
-
Thanks! If I have my way... they'll spend all their money on suits and dives and will have no cash for plane tickets... he he.. It's really nice having the support to do things the right way though. We're always learning more and having a great time while we do it! t It's the year of the Pig.

The air is filtered through a metal wire mesh. (The strands are some 3 inches apart..) t It's the year of the Pig.

Good point... If it were not for those damn deadly AAD's - this rig would be perfect! Maybe Cypres should pay for the mods! t It's the year of the Pig.

How far have you driven to a boogie
Tonto replied to pa2themd's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Took us 24 hrs FLYING time to get to Eloy... I've done the drive to Swakopmund before in 1988. In a few years, I may be ready to do it again.. t It's the year of the Pig. -
Who Are Your Skydiving Heroes/Mentors?

Thanks! We got back to SA on Friday night with 5 new suits, and Taya got 2 new birds into the flock on Sunday. We even got some flocking action going - with Amy leading a 5 flock in a Classic 2 with speeds in the low 60's on her second flight.

Absolute pleasure! As it turned out we went through to Elsinore and jumped there before the weather closed in - kinda a recce to make sure your jacket would be OK. Please say Hi to Lob for me next time you're at Elsinore. We go back a very long way. Over 10 years, anyway! Stay cool, t It's the year of the Pig.

So... We missed our flight today. We are now arriving on Southwest flight 1385 arriving in Phoenix terminal 4 at 8:10am on the 27th. First - can anyone with a number for April (Missmae) please let her know not to fetch us us from the airport today? I'd HATE for her to have to do the trip for nothing! We've pm'd her - but she may not log on today.. Next - Any chance of a ride? Thanks! t It's the year of the Pig.
-
Cool! Hope you've signed up on the "who's flocking at Eloy?" thread... See you there! t It's the year of the Pig.

This was the 3rd rig. Try as I may, I have never managed to carry the 3rd rig on. Thus, the cheapest, oldest, most worn rig gets checked. t It's the year of the Pig.
-
Just an update. The rig was shipped to Eloy today. $130 something with packing and insurance, plus the price of the repack. For those saying carry on... again I say... What if you have 3 rigs.. t It's the year of the Pig.
-
Nothing. Was closed, now Main and Reserve are open, 10 rolls of undeveloped film missing along with 9 dollars from her logbook pouch. t It's the year of the Pig.

I'm in Boston. Do you have a list? t It's the year of the Pig.

I've been using a Vigil in my 3rd rig for the past 8 months - with no problems whatsoever. I'm in the market for 2 new AAD's in the next year as my Cypres 1's timex. At this point - I'm 90% certain they'll be Vigils. t It's the year of the Pig.
-
It's a Mirage G3 and a Tempo 120 reserve. t It's the year of the Pig.

Barbells. No rings there... t It's the year of the Pig.

3 rigs as a carry on? I thought we did well with 2. Airport authorities. Yes, we've reported the luggage as "damaged" and lodged a complaint, and put in a claim. We'll probably get $32.70 back in 6 months time. You know how things work... We'll box it and ship to Eloy, get fleeced on shipping and rigging costs, and hopefully have the system ready for when we get there. If not.. no Birdman for Taya.. t It's the year of the Pig.

My GF's rig was opened without us present before or after our flight from Amsterdam to Boston. Anyone know where I can get a repack before we leave for Eloy on the 26th? t It's the year of the Pig.
