Thanks, I haven't been told that, and that was my worries exactly. Just one experienced person thinking that is enough to change my mind. I think the best thing to do in my situation is to quit jumping for a few college years all together. I thought about this, but it is a sad thought and no one wants to do it. Well, thats probably the way its gotta go... It sucks to have the love and the enthusiasm, the knowledge and the skills to do something but you cannot for other reasons. like governator once said - I'll be bak... THis probably has been covered a thousand times but.... I am a college student that cannot afford his renewal fee, money is very tough right now and I'm barely staying current. I plan on studying hard and finishin quick, then get out, get a good job and jump on money in the bank, not money my dad thinks i'm spending on food! So....My membership Expired in October 2004... i plan on doing a jump every now and then, it hasn't been so tough thart I cannot stay current, and my local (yes, they are USPA) DZO's are helping me out with rentals and letting me pack. SHOULD I RENEW? OR can I drop it if I know I will only just stay current, making maybe an average of 2 or 3 jumps every 3 months. Also - it seems dangerous to stay current, but only just. 1 jump a month will be fun, but you will quickly forget all the dangers. I have been asking the people around me to just keep an eye out for me, and I go solo jumps, or with an experienced jumper. Thanks for your all's advice.... Ok, I am not technologically very clued in...and recently found out about these. They would be very useful to carry around and save my documents on, since I dont have a computer and make use of various university computers around campus. Interesting, I havent thought of it that way, but I have to disagree. Althought that would have a noticible effect on the economy, we both know of all the ridiculous legislations that have been passed (such as my two examples). We also know of all the people who were put in government simply because they were black. Brothers hook brothers up. Whites did it, and now the blacks are doing it. It is FACT that this is happening, I directly saw what happened to the company my dad worked for. What then do you think about the links between their embedded black beliefs and trying to run the country today? I mean Mbeki goes to the beach to collect sea water from their ritualistic spot for his moms upset stomach, and he was even found to grow pot in his own house! THE PRESIDENT! Why else would the country be seeing its ass as compared to 15 years ago? For instance, the school districts were just taken over by the government, the parents on the board now have no more direct say in their childrens education, the local schoolboards are worth jack. Entrants into many upper level schools in south africa are now selected on a basis of their skin color. If the area has 30% white and 70% black, then the school has to represent that statistic, no matter if 50% of the best entrants were white. Thats just STUPID. It is now required that if a high school student lacks to answer a question on his test, he still has to receive at least 20% for that question. It is obvious what the government is trying to do. We all know it. Although it might seem to bring more black people into higher education, it dumbs down the entire level of the country. South African degrees actually meant something back in the day. South Africa presented incridible mental capacity, whether black or white. That has all gone to crap now. Why? Why is my viewpoint skewed because of my skin color? I dont understand American laws regarding traffic. I have been to traffic school twice now for speeding tickets, and both times (they were different and by different people) the course was pretty much about how dangerous the roads really are. So does the government think that traffic school gives the appropriate driver education to make the roads safer (which is the purpose of the course). Thats just stupid. If they are really concerned with making the roads safer, then make the freaking test harder! My drivers test was all of 6 minutes spent driving around a block, stopping, reversing and then parralel parking between two imaginary cars!!! WTF?!?!? Sure, that makes is easy for me, but that means it makes it easy for all those other retards too, and I dont want them on the road!! I also propose that people get tested every 5 years or so. I'm sorry, but old people lack a lot in their responsiveness, and they really need to speed up sometimes. Americans are known worldwide as bad drivers. I agree with you on that one. Humor and culture are funny and hard to understand (for me anyhow). Most Americans seem to like British humor... Aussies like British humor.... So do a lot of south africans.... Americans don't quite like Aussie humor or South African humor (the gods must be crazy) Aussies dont like American humor either.... Yep, as you said lastly. Quade pretty much answered my question. Look at robert...his arms are "swept back" if you look at him from above or underneath (in flight). I was asking why the designs don't allow you to extend your arms upwards, equaling more surface area. But as several have said, I can completely see how it would be VERY uncomfortable. Another issue arises. The center of lift compared to the c of g. If you look at a wingsuit in flight from the side, i bet that your center of lift for your wings would be somewhere between your Xyphoid Process and your bellybutton. The center of lift from your leg-area would be right at the top of the black upside-down V on roberts suit. now... HOW MUCH lift both of these generate I do not know... but if you add them together, your center of lift would be close to your crotch. Your center of gravity? Well I bet that your chest and head contributes a whole lot of weight forward of your center of lift, close to your ribcage. So why doesn't a wingsuit pilot go drastically head low? I'm sure this has been thought of MANY a time, but I don't know the answer yet, so enlighten me please!
