I often find it beneficial to ask people who might have more insight than me for advice. I am currently a Economics/Finance Major. I have one semester before my class-choices begin to affect me as far as a decision between the current and an Accounting/Finance major (which would, because classes don't merge, take one year longer). I have heard from many people (professors and others) that Acc/Fin will be much more beneficial, i'll get a better job easier, etc. I don't dislike accounting, but love economics. I like the fact that Economics allows me to interpret current political choices, whereas accounting only gives me insight into the guts of business. Economics is therefore more appealing, since I would like to go Polisci, but it will take me nowhere. I could also do a math minor, which, with finance seems to be feasible (t/f?) I plan to do my MBA later on. What will the impact of this choice be on my career? (as one retired finance official told me: "I never met an economist I didn't like. The problem is, you have a meeting to make a decision and you walk out with more opinions than answers.) --------------------------------------------- As jy dom is moet jy bloei!

I had a discussion with a buddy as we were driving past some semis. He theorized that you could "surf" the pressure wave caused by a semi (by staying close to the front of the semi), similar to surfing a wave behind a boat. He claims that it would save fuel. I have never written APA style before, and now I have a teacher who is demanding we do. I am familiar with MLA. Taken from the instructions: Your paper must have the following elements formatted in AP5th edition: 1. Title Page (I got this down) 2. Abstract (100 - 150 Words) (I got this down, basically a description of my paper) 3. 6-8 pages of text with appropriate headings and citations. (not hard, I am just unsure of the format) 4. Reference page. (I can use an online generator for this. So my question is....am in APA 5th edition style if I just type away, inlcuding references and headings for 6 -8 pages? All the online samples make use of theories and hypothesis and proofs and ridiculous junk that would take forever to apply.
