  1. Because it will be seen as cool, and them as nice for thinking green. I think the new truck (the big ugly-ass one) pretty much killed that.
  2. Damn. Why would the even make a hybrid in that case? Doesn't make much sense.
  3. OH, I understand. One can live by their own morals unles you disagree with those very morals. Then you ask the government to enforce "your" morals on those that don't agree with you. Makes normal liberal sence to me What the hell are you talking about? What don't you understand. If you don't agree with my position make a law the forces me to comply. I wouldn't agree with a law that forces anyone to perform a prodecure or treatment that goes against their religious beliefs. Read my post above (information being the key word). I would say that a doctor has an obligation to their patient to provide them with all the information and options available that is relavent to their situation, regardless of their religion. I never said that they should be forced to provide those options, just let the patient know they exist.
  4. Off topic for a second: I read recently that the hybrid Honda Accord gets about 24 mpg average. I have an Acura TL with a 270 hp 3.2L V-Tech engine (6 cylinder) which is basically the luxury version of the Accord and I'm getting about the same average mileage. I think the Accord is about the same. Considering the hybrid has less trunk space than the Accord, do you still support the continued development of hybrids, or would it make more sense to just purchase a smaller all gasoline powered vehicle like the Honda Civic? I'm not sure, but I think the mileage is much higher than that.
  5. Immoral in their mind or not, it's their job. Any doctor that is going to deny their patient information because of their own religious beliefs shouldn't be a doctor. OH, I understand. 6. I agree with you completely on that one. I understand not offering the option due to the religious beliefs of the hospital (in non-emergency situations). I would only have a problem with a doctor that refused to inform the patient that the option was available.
  7. I believe that providing patients with information relavent to their condition/situation is generally regarded as good care by the majority of the medical community, not just Bill's opinion. Regardless of what the doctor thinks is good or bad, the patient should be informed of their options. After all, the patient will be making the decision (In most cases). No it isn't.

  10. Yeah, I'll agree with that. Kinda stupid to deny him a package because the DL was expired. It was a stupid on his part, and I'm glad no one was hurt, but what he did is something I'm sure many people have wanted to do for a very long time.
  11. Just out of curiosity, do the hospitals in question receive any state funding?
  12. I know I'm impatient... but are the ready yet ?
  13. Professional as in needlessly bashing someone and the company they work for on a public forum?
  14. What I don't understand is those little glass cases they have outside security with all the banned items in them - like pesticides, gasoline cans, leaf blowers, and chainsaws, etc.... Since when has people flying across the country to do yardwork been a problem?
  15. I think the reasoning is that Zippo lighters don't rely on pressurised gas as fuel like bic lighters do. I'm not sure how the pressure would affect them though.
  16. I don't think the manufacturer intended it to be pumped 7 times. Seems like way to much to me. I would guess that it was travelling much faster than 665fps.
  17. Guns are regulated. Agreed. But it's not necessarily that he wasn't mature enough, it was that he wasn't properly educated on the dangers of them, and his parents' obviously didn't teach him or prevent his access to them. Many people aren't mature enough to own one, despite of age. Many more are. Pretty much the first 4. #5 would be difficult to enforce.
  18. I agree with you completely, especially the last part of that.
  19. True. IIRC, Here in TX you can buy a pellet gun at the age of 16, but can't buy a paintball gun or paintballs until the age of 18. Just seems kind of backwards to me.
  20. Did you read the article? - Jim Not yet, DZ.com forums don't stand out too much at work, but most news pages are quite colorful so I tend to avoid them until I get home in the evening.
  21. That's one of the worst stories I've heard in a while. I wonder how long will it take for the lawsuit against Under Armour to be filed
  22. Sounds like a great idea to me. I'd prefer they not use working firearms though (After seeing the vid of the DEA agent, it seems like an unnecessary risk.).
