When I first read the comment in the article, I was thinking about how many people didn't vote last year.

I'm not sure if I'm the person you're talking about here, but that comment is almost as rediculous as judging somones ability to understand a customer service situation based on the number of jumps they have. If you have a problem with something I say regarding skydiving because I have 26 jumps, feel free to let me know (I don't give advice on such things, as it is not my place to do so because I don't have the experience.) If you have a problem with something I say about a non-skydiving related situation (a customer service one in this case) based on my jump #'s, unnecessary comment deleted by slotperfect -

And if that doesn't work, there's always the roids... -
Based on what I've read, the average male works around 44 hrs per week, and the average female works around 41, which accounts for a portion of the pay gap. Also, of all the people that are killed in workplace accidents, men acount for 97-98 percent of them. If I can find some of the studies I've read, I'll post the statistics.

Something tells me he wasn't yelled at in the least.... Me too. Only the two parties involved know what really happened. One came on here and started bitching about a very respected company, and openly insulted people that work for it. The other offered a free demo with an apology for any problems they may have had. -
That's not entirely true. Check out these articles: http://biz.yahoo.com/brn/050307/15226_1.html http://www.ifeminists.net/introduction/editorials/2005/0223.html The book being discussed in them is quite interesting. oh, but it is true... http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0763170.html http://www.feminist.org/news/newsbyte/uswirestory.asp?id=8622 http://www.womensmedia.com/new/Lips-Hilary-gender-wage-gap.shtml http://www.infoplease.com/spot/equalpayact1.html http://clinton4.nara.gov/WH/EOP/CEA/html/gendergap.html hope that helps =) I read all of the articles you listed. Most had limited detail of the statistics used to make the determination. The stuff I've read by Warren Farrell (IIRC, who used to be involved with NOW in California) I find much more convincing based on the level of detail present in his research that I simply didn't see in other studies. I'm not convinced.

What I pictured happening was that the shooter heard something going on outside, then grabbed his handgun and stepped outside to check it out. Upon stepping outside, the attacker saw him and began to come toward him with the weapon, and did not stop when a gun was pointed at him, resulting in him being shot. Anyone have more details on what actually happened?

US Supremes may examine legality of ceremonial tea

Does that include crack? I don't care what they smoke, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, let 'em do it. Personally, I agree but therein lies the problem. There aren't too many crack heads who just toke up after work and do no further harm. Crack ain't weed. Yep. -

I think I know what is going on. It sounds like you were being a dick to PD and eventually denied a canopy that you felt you needed. You didn't get what you wanted so you started mentioning dz.com and yelling "I'm gonna tell" like a child. Then, instead of working it out with them, you came on here to bash them, knowing it would do you no good. -

If it is 6 in the morning where you are, what time is it in FL? You can stop with the insults (jerk, etc..). It's not helping your argument. -

I thank you for posting this thread. Everytime I come across someone with your attitude, it gives me a new appreciation for what people in the customer service field have to put up with on a daily basis. -

I find it funny that you bitch about someone being unprofessional after you told them they suck. Grow up. -
Statistically speaking, that's probably who they'll be coming across. I don't recall them saying that's what they were there to prevent. You don't. The people that deal with it on a daily basis do see it as a problem. From the article: I don't understand why you have a problem with what they're doing.

So you have no problem walking down the street and stepping over heroin addicts who have overdosed? Do you believe the govt. has any responsibility to protect someone from causing injury to themselves? If someone was standing on top of a tall building saying they were going to jump, should the police just say "hold on a second while we clear a spot, we don't want you getting blood on anybody?" I'd have a problem with stuff like, only because it affects other peoples lives. If someone wants to sit in their own home and smoke something, I think the gov't shouldn't be involved. -
