  1. Please take a look at this thread you posted a few weeks ago. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1646783#1646783 You say it is stupid that they are pissed because someone desecrated the Quran, yet you think that someone that burns a flag should be in prison? Nice double standard there.
  2. I was checking out the dimensions for different canopies on PD's website (yep, bored), and I've noticed something weird. When you multiply the Span and Max Chord on the Silhouette 230, you get 236 sqft (24.05 X 9.83), and with Min Chord 207 sqft, so I'll assume that the canopy is between 207 and 236 sqft depending on how tapered it is. When you do the same for the Navigator 260 you get 227 sqft (21.74 x 10.45) and with Min Chord, 199 sqft , so I'll assume that the canopy is between 199 and 227 sqft. depending on how tapered it is. Is the Navigator 260 actually smaller than the Silhouette 230 or are they just measured differently? Also Based on the info from the website, it would seem that the Spectre 230 is actually larger than the Navigator 260, and has a higher aspect ratio. Are they measured differently or am I just losing my mind?
  3. I would guess that he feels great remorse over getting caught. Edit: I wonder how long it will be before him or his parents blame either "The fast and the furious" movies or racing video games on what happened.
  4. A standard of making everything that offends someone a federal crime?
  5. Yep, more important stuff like 'roids in baseball, Teri Shiavo's husband being investigated and gay marriage... I wish the assbags in the gov't would spend more time working on stuff that matters then working on stuff that gets them attention and media coverage....

    Bikers

I have a friend whose dad sells bikes in a shop not too far from my house, so I used to spend alot of time in there. It was amazing how many people w/ no riding experience would come in and try to buy the biggest bike they could get (ZX12R,RC51, etc). They would refuse to sell them anything larger than a 600, and didn't hesitate to tell them that they would kill themselves on anything bigger. Interesting, I didn't know that. Yep. It happens. More commonly though it's the guys with little experience riding wheelies down the highway at 100mph in rush hour traffic. Man, the [Enter] key is your friend... That big paragraph gave me a headache..

    Bikers

I'm going to disagree with you there. I've been riding for about 11 years, and I wouldn't get a 600SS as a first sportbike, much less tell someone to get one as a first bike. True, but it is much easier to kill yourself on a bigger bike. Getting cut off on the highway and grabbing a handful of throttle on a 250 probably won't do much. Doing that on a ZX9R can kill you pretty easily. Self-Control is not an equal substitute for experience.
  8. While we're kind of on the subject of gear bags, can anyone recommend a place to get a good one? I need one for a big rig (Javelin J7).
  9. Highly modded? 99% of the cars I've come across have done nothing more than add a loud exhaust pipe, a cheap body kit and a bunch of stickers. The few I know who actually have done more to their cars care enough to take it to the local track to race. I'm going to agree with Tom on this one - it's about the risk-preferring behavior, not the cost.
  10. Infinitely less dangerous than a car racing down a highway at dangerous speeds. Compare how many people are killed in racing related incidents vs getting hit by falling skydivers for any given year.
  11. Yugo or not, they'd still put a fart-can exhaust, NOS and various other racing product stickers (none of which is actually used on the car), and Top-Fuel dragster-sized wing on the back.
  12. I'm going to try to make it out on Friday if I can get off of work at a reasonable time, but I think I've got the Scott Miller class on Saturday.
  13. Ya'll coming to the 4th of July Boogie up at SDD?

    I've got a 2001 Suzuki Marauder 800, 2000 KX100, and a 1981 GS650.
  15. I've seen three meaningless posts of yours in the last five minutes, not to mention many more in the past. Please, do us all a favor and go entertain yourself with a cardboard box or something. And if you really are being serious, search for the video of him swooping a big Navigator.
  16. In this case read my numero uno Ah, ok. I wonder how often that happens...
  17. Bill, I'm sure you know that most SUVs aren't really designed to go off-road (more than once at least). They're just made to look that way. With the new hummer coming out soon I think it will only get worse.
  18. IIRC, in a different thread I think he said he jumped a large Safire2, so the lines should be Vectran.
  19. Man, It's an internet message board, a very nice one, but still, it's a place to argue over the internet. Why are you taking this stuff so seriously? Don't you have something more important to worry about?
  20. And you wonder why no one takes you seriously.
  21. 134,217,721. Edit: Keyed in the wrong #. Edit again: Damnit...I didn't realize someone else had got it....
  22. He didn't use deadly force. He is not racist because he arrested a black woman, he did his job. I have no doubt that the officer is unbiased, it is pretty apparent that you are. Exclusive? That doesn't even make sense. Fixed it fer ya.
  23. I know tomorrow I'm going to think about that 2nd picture in the middle of an important meeting and randomly start laughing or something.
  24. Johnny Knoxville did a few years ago. He said the pepper spray was the worst. I've come in contact with pepper spray once, and It's something I won't soon forget, it's horrible stuff. Go for it. I'm sure you can find many instances where suspects resisting arrest injured or killed a police officer. It's a better alternative to brute physical force and a great alternative to shooting people. I have no sympathy for criminals, it seems you do.
