Hell, they have McD's inside some of the walmart stores here.
-
The Geneva convention thingy. They don't call everyone an insurgent. Just the ones that try to kill them. Just think happy thoughts.
-
Okay. I disagree with your view on this case, but at least now I understand your opinion.
-
Things aren't a black and white as they seem in the media. You don't seem to understand that. Were you? Fixed it.
-
Hmm. weird. Sprint is pretty much the best carrier where I'm at.
-
I can't really think of any legitimate Geneva convention violations by the US. Some may be borderline, but those are very few. I just don't understand how you can bitch about one sides actions, but not about the others.
-
If the US didn't give a shit, there would not have been a trial or investigation. Isn't there something about not executing innocent civilians on television? Isn't there something about soldiers not dressing up as civilians? Isn't there alot more bullshit that the enemy is doing that you don't seem to give a damn about? If the insurgents aren't going to follow the rules, why should the US? Take your bullshit double-standards elsewhere.

The decisions made by the soldier could have likely saved his life. I would bet that there are a few dead or wounded men that wish they would have done the same thing. We also learn from our mistakes to make better decisions in the future. It's called war. People die. He killed to protect himself and others against a very possible threat. If you're going to nitpick you could have at least fixed the rest of the sentance.

There, fixed it for ya. Easy to understand. Unarmed against armed. A fine and fair point of view seen from the armed party.. Oh wait, I forgot: There were 3 of unarmed insurgents? Now, that makes sense ... I don't know what the soldier was thinking at the time and I never will, but taking the media story at face value and assuming that the soldier just murdered 3 innocent people is ignorant. Given the situation, I think think the shooter was justified in his actions.

You can always pick up a cheap pair at the local Wal-Mart for about $10 to try out before spending the money for a really nice pair. -
Hey now.... we've got a yellow otter...

That sentance doesn't make any sense. From the referenced article: If you shoot at a bunch of marines and then hide, expect to get killed if and when they find you. It wasn't racially motivated, it was war. Get over it.

I've done it once on my Suz. 800 crusier, accidentally, and it scared the hell out of me at the time. I've done a few on my old '81 GS650, which wasn't as bad. I tried a stoppie on that one, but it is something I'll never try again.

Hey, it worked for that Lutz guy I keep seeing on TV.
-
Anyone seen the pic from a magazine of some guy pulling a wheelie on a V-Rod? (I think it was one of the Harley ads) Crazy stuff.
-
Yup, Wal-Mart is like Disneyland for rednecks. That's one of the reasons I try to avoid the place if possible.

Hey, whatever they are doing is working. I'm not saying I agree with it, but it works. It happens, especially in stores that just open. I belive the primary purpose for loss leaders is to get people into the store to buy other stuff while they're there. It's a smart thing to do, and it is necessary to compete with other retailers, as they do it too. Alot of the smaller retailers can't do it because they can't make up the loss as easy. It's not predatory, it is just an unfortunate side effect of the bigger stores trying to increase sales. It's hard to avoid buying some Chinese stuff, as so many things are made there, but I do avoid Wal-Mart if possible (stores in my area are always way too crowded and it's a pain in the ass to shop there).
-
I can just picture some guy out on a big 1800cc cruiser trying to pull a stoppie.....

Nearly all businesses try to get tax breaks from municipalities. The other two are common business practices as well. It's pretty simple. If a store isn't making any money, why keep it open? ALL retailers use loss leaders, and they are not questionable practices, they're common. If the manufacturers here are less efficient than those in China, that's what happens. If someone can get something of similar quality from China, why pay more for something that's made here? It is capitalism at work. You don't need an MBA to figure that out either. What do you base your opinion on? The media?

Please do, I think it would be an interesting article to read.
-
Why do you think that the woman was innocent? I've yet to hear a good reason.
-
No, but I would believe the majority of them did. Nearly all of them. Personally, I have a hard time believing that, but if you would provide a source to that info, I'll check it out. Do you live in a box and think it isn't possible that the woman that was convicted was lying, or that he was telling the truth? Ok, but all of the stuff you just listed is pretty much irrevelant, so could you please get back to the topic at hand?

Well, the court found her guilty, that's good enough for me. YOU were the ones asking if I read the papers anyway. She started w/o consent. That's rape. Good for him, it's still rape. I'll believe a court over your gender biased speculation any day.
-
Dont you read the papers? Here is the quote from the article: I don't see where he said it was voluntary, she only claimed it was. She performed a sexual act on him without his consent. That's rape.
