  1. I used to put mine in backward because it was too loud.
  2. one down, a few hundred more to go.
  3. XP is much easier to set stuff up on, as it will probably recognize the PDA as soon as you plug it in. Be sure to install the PDA software on it before you hook it up though.
  4. I'm not sure that ME is the problem, but it's not helping at all. I set up my new palm TX yesterday in XP and it was pretty easy, but setting up HotSync with Wifi was kinda tricky. Have you tried calling Palm tech support?
  5. It sounds like the computer just isn't recognizing the PDA, I doubt that there are any issues with the PDA itself. I'm thinking you're missing some type of driver for it, but I'm not too good at figuring stuff like that out without being able to actually work on the computer.
  6. What kind of error message are you getting when you run Hotsync on the PDA?
  7. Windows ME is the root of all evil.
  8. What OS is being used, and what cable are you using to connect them (USB, Serial, etc..)
  9. What type of soft links do you have on your reserve? I am not aware of any were the manufacture calls for tacking. Sparky The Icon manual shows that the links should be tacked..
  10. I don't have a V3, but mine is in a pocket on my jumpsuit.
  11. I know exactly what you mean, there are so many people just like that up here..... I was slowing down to a stop at a light the other day and a guy on a harley nearly fell over when stopping (both legs out to the side while slowing down ). He must have been wearing every piece of Harley clothing and had every single chrome accessory available, which made him look like even more of an ass when he stalled the thing as soon as the light turned green. The only people I don't wave to are assholes and morons that ride wheelies and shit down the highway during rush hour.
  12. Depends on the manufacturer. Usually 2 weekends for about 30-60$.
  13. Damn bill, you've gotta stop using words I have to look up.
  14. I remember talking to the late Egon Sussman, about a good canopy for a beginner, and he said that a Silhoette loaded around 1:1 was on of the best canopies out. Remember that most of the lift comes from the top skin which is ZP. Most of my few jumps were done on Silhoette, and I really liked them. Packing is a hell of a lot easier too. I've jumped one loaded around 1.1 and really liked it as well. The flare seemed a little weaker than a Sabre2 of the same size, but it landed great, even on no-wind days. Toggle pressure was lighter on the Silhouette, but riser turns were easier on the Sabre2.
  15. If this was a male offender in the exact situation, the DA would be sending him to prison knowing that he'd be killed by another inmate within a year. Gotta love the double-standard.
  16. It pisses me off too, but I can't say that I'm suprised.
  17. The tool is called a "fid". See ParaGear items S7995 & S7979. With the steering line picture it'd be a pain in the ass with those. I think the wire fids work much better (and they're cheaper ).
  18. Yes you can. Damaging stuff generally isn't a good idea.
  19. Then truly make it life in prisoin and get rid of the death penalty.... I think someone down in Austin is working on that. I believe life in prison carries a minimum sentence of 30 years, which recently changed to 40.
  20. Ohh, here I was thinking that it was a deterrent for those who were still among the living...silly me, it is a deterrent for those who are dead...now it all makes perfect sense.... Those that are put in jail for life never repeat their crimes either..... Life in prison here is not really life in prison.
  21. Yep, it doesn't take too long to do. I think you'll find the hackey easier to grab than the tube though.
