  1. Why would you want socks on your front risers?
  2. Banning guns to prevent gun crimes is like lowering speed limits to stop people from speeding.
  3. My record is 162 wearing a big heavy-cotton jumpsuit. I'm afraid to try it in just shorts and a tshirt.
  4. Would you please not bother everyone else? There is no rule about what anyone else said to you either. If you don't want people to respond, why not just PM yourself? I bet you drive a hummer too. Edit: Spelling

    HOW COLD

Jumpable? I don't even like to go outside when it's that cold.

    HOW COLD

I should read HOW FUCKING COLD. I didn't think Texas got this cold. I thought I left this shit back up in Illinois. Oh well at least I won't have 5 months of this. probably just a day or to more.

    HOW COLD

Whats the weather like there? It's 18 degrees here and everything is covered in ice.
  8. so... now it turns out he was in drag !!!! You know, a smart-ass comment is okay once in a while, sometimes they're even funny, but can you give it a rest? Does every one of your posts have to be like that?
  9. I don't think it him being gay as much as it is him using his abusing his position. Take a look at the quotes I've highlighted. If I used my work computer to look up porn and offered jobs to people for sexual favors I'd expect to get fired too.
  10. My point exactly. If someone chooses to do something outside of work that has no effect on how well they do their job, why fire someone because of it?
  11. It is on topic. My point being that as long as what I do outside of work doesn't affect my work, why should my employer need to know about it.? (For the record, my employer does random drug testing, and I don't do drugs. I don't agree with it, but I'm not going to let it get in the way of me having a decent job) We'll, if I was driving a car that wasn't mine, I suppose I'd have to go by the rules of the person/company that owned it.
  12. The only one of those I've seen was one that had been recovered from a field after it's 2nd baglock and cutaway. I'll stick with rubber bands for now.
  13. So is speeding. Would you want your employer putting a GPS unit in your car to ensure that you obeyed the posted speed limit all the time?
  14. Maybe not all, but some of them sure do. These days packing tabs are much more useful on reserves anyway... Yep, I've got a Laser 7R in my closet that has 'em.
  15. So if I wrapped myself in aluminum foil and then made a jump, would I show up on radar then?
  16. Tie a bowline knot on each loop. When this knot is pulled on it only gets tighter. After you've tied it pull everything back into the tunnels. It's hard to explain how to yie this knot if you don't know how to tie it. Sorry I've tied mine with an overhand knot on each end and haven't had any problems (I did leave a bit of excess and tucked it in.)
  17. I had one I strung along for about six weeks before I reported his email addy to yahoo and they killed it. He was really looking forward to buying my clear 13-cell canopy. I got him to send 2 money orders to the local FBI office, and nearly got him to give me his IP address before he caught on. If they have a hotmail or yahoo account, report them, they're pretty good about killing the accounts. It's a nice set-back for the scammers.
  18. Because there's a sucker born every minute. True, but I haven't heard of anybody falling victim to them on here. What's disturbing me lately is the number of selling scams going on. I reported about 10 2 days ago and another 6 or 7 today where the scammer had copied ads from Square1's website and put them in the classifieds. They're still not too smart though. The dead giveaway that it's a scammer is the fact that it's listed in the UK, but the price is listed in US dollars.
  19. The biggest clue is that they seem uninterested in the condition of the stuff they're trying to buy, and they're english is almost always poor, to the point of being almost unreadable sometimes. What I don't understand is why they keep coming here, it seems like they'd give up on this site after a while.
  20. They're ok, as long as you wear something windproof over them, otherwise they won't keep you too warm.
  21. Are they the black ones that are really stretchy and have some weird pattern in the fabric?
  22. My guess would be that it hides that big ugly shock cord knot.
  23. It was 89 degrees at a few places in the area this afternoon. The weather guy said it would be getting down to the mid 20's tonight, and it's already at 45
