  1. He said "Be aware" as in "just so you know", not "Beware"....
  2. What are you doing with the nose when packing it?
  3. No, their new stuff is pretty similar to PD's fabric.
  4. Which is the exact same situation that it's been for the last two years.
  5. It's been due to be built for two years now. I'll believe it when I see it running.
  6. That's the "It's probably going to blow up if I have a terminal ride" limit (TSO), not the "I'm an idiot if I exceed this" limit (Max Exit weight), which I believe is the actual legal limit (here at least).
  7. In this situation the cable is held in place by the tension from the loop, then when the tension the loop is released (landing), the loop can simply slide right off of the end of the yellow cable, correct?
  8. AFAIK, it isn't. I've got a Wings W-22 and don't have near that much cable exposed. Sounds like the housings might not have been tacked properly.
  9. Be careful, because it's sometimes hard to tell the condition of something based solely on pictures. If you have Jeff look it over (have a rigger look at any used gear before buying it) , I'm sure he could tell you the value of it. He's pretty good at that kinda stuff.
  10. I don't have his # with me, but I have it at the house. I'll send you a PM after work with it if you don't have it by then.
  11. Hey! Come see me in the gear store this weekend and I'll show ya the different stuff we have.
  12. I think you should rename this thread "HP landing on last demo jump".
  13. My favorite one: "Your kid may be an honor student, but you're still an asshole."
  14. If your reserve opened like a Spectre, it wasn't packed right.
  15. IMO, the pillow isn't as easy to grab as the D-ring, so it's going to be harder for someone to accidentally pull it. The downside is that it's also harder to grab when you need to use it. If you have a premature reserve deployment doing RW (assuming there is no camera above you), you're probably going to be sore from the terminal reserve deployment. A premature reserve deployment at freefly speeds can easily seriously injure or kill, either from an extremely hard opening, or resulting damage to the reserve.

  17. I'm not a rigger, but I think it would make packing into an exercize in pure hell. If you cant force air out through the seams your pack volume is going to go up to the point where you'll never get the thing into the container... It'll be HUGE I believe one of the Atair guys has a Cobalt made of some special fabric with welded seams that was impossible to pack for that reason.
  18. You are FUCKING RETARDED Bill. And yes, that was a Personal Attack! Do you listen to yourself ever? Enjoy the vacation.
  19. While the RSL may pull the reserve pin, the chances of the reserve deploying are slim.
  20. I don't think anyone's been paying for using the three ring design for quite a long time, if ever.
