    I had something similar happen 5 or 6 years ago. I was a few feet behind someone at a stoplight, my foot slipped off of the brake (was stopped), and I tapped the car in front of me. No police were called or anything, I gave him my info, etc... The guy told the insurance company that he had a neck injury, frame damage to the truck (a decade-old ford ranger), and that it was a show truck (it was a big piece o' crap). The insurance company paid him a little over $200 to replace the (plastic) bumper that had been scratched

    IIRC, The Maxtor includes software, and I believe they have a "One-Touch" backup feature they advertise. I picked up a 300GB USB Maxtor external for 139$ a few weeks ago at the local Fry's store. If you have an eSATA port, I'd recommend picking up one of the big Seagate eSATA external HD's. If you're backing up large amounts, the SATA interface is going to be a bit quicker than the standard IDE drives.

    I'm a big fan of Seagate, but Maxtor makes some decent external drives with very easy backup options.

    What options are you looking at on the Alienware system? SLI, Dual HDDs in RAID 0? HDV or DV? Personally, I'm a big fan of Intel's Core & Core2 processors. If you're not planning to get the dual HDD setup, I'd go with the Dell and add another GB of RAM. Both will handle pretty much any DV stuff you'd throw at them, but the Alienware is going to outperform the Dell at gaming with the SLI and RAID 0 options.

    While it can be done, it's pretty easy to do damage to your risers if you're not careful. If you need to do it and can't find a rigger, try pulling the tack cord away from the webbing a little bit (with your fingers), that way you don't accidentally cut anything you don't want to.

    I remember him stumbling around with his camcorder... but I didn't think it was on. Considering the amount of alcohol I consumed, it probably wasn't on for most of the time I had it.

    Thanks for the great party y'all! Based on the parts of the night I remember, it was the most fun I've had in a very, very long time. When I got home on Sunday night, I found that I had some pictures and around 20-30 minutes of video on my camera that I don't remember taking..... I'll post some of it when I get it sorted out. Edit: Awesome job with the shoes Heath.....

    Seeing as how this was an undercover thing at the club, does anyone know if these were uniformed officers involved in the shooting? Honestly, if someone approached my vehicle with a gun pointed at me and I had no reason to believe they were a police officer, I'd very seriously consider using my vehicle to defend myself.
