Soma and a bottle of Beringer white zinfandel. What? No jeager? Noo....I haven't had any since the gravity rat revolution in december....I consumed enough then to cover my quota for the next 6 months.

Tasering someone is not physical discomfort. It's being shot with a less lethal (note: not non-lethal) weapon. Two completely different things. The fact that the cops were too lazy to cuff him and pick him up doesn't justify the use of potentially lethal force. Increasing discomfort? I'm sure shooting him would be uncomfortable. Is it ok to shoot someone because they won't do what you tell them to? Since when did potentially lethal weapons become an option to persuade someone to do something? If they had cuffed him and dragged him out it would have been over quicker. If they had shot him it would have been too.

I know SD Spaceland has 1 or 2 and I think San Marcos has 1 as well. -
Key word there. Would they be justified in using force to remove him from the library if he refused to leave? (lets ignore the fact that he was in the process of leaving when the officers arrived for now) I think so. Would they be justified in using potentially lethal force? I don't think so.

While the policy of the library may require ID, I seriously doubt a law has been passed requiring it.

Basic Still Camera Settings: Digital Rebel XTI

RTFM? -
Kel-Tec P3AT .380. Decent trigger. No slide lock. Smaller than a lot of .25s. Not expensive (< $300) I ended up buying one of those today. I put 100rds through it and I like it so far, but I've got alot more practice to do with it.
-
I took a look at a Kel-Tec P3AT .380 earlier today that I think I'm going to go with. I've got a .40 that I'll have most of the time, I just want a nice pocket gun for when the .40 isn't an option. I know it's not the most powerful caliber to go with, but it's better than nothing.
-
I've got a SA XD40 sub, but it's still a bit big for some situations, so I'm looking for something a bit smaller in either .32 or .380, leaning towards .380. Any of you gun people have any recommendations for something that's reliable and not too expensive?

Medical Information on Waivers
justinb138 replied to tombuch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I've often wondered why people don't keep the important medical information on them in case of an emergency, like in the pocket with their reserve data card. If someone's seriously hurt skydiving, there's a good chance they're gonna be wearing their rig, and the info would be right there and easily accessible. -
Effective against what? It certainly hasn't been effective against gun crime. I'd like to see what data you've been looking at, because the stats I've seen show that it hasn't had an effect at all. You can force people to buy gun locks with guns, but that doesn't mean they'll use them, especially the people irresponsible enough that they really should.

Won't work for skydiving. That's about it.

Supreme Court to decide on Use of Deadly Force in Police Pursuits

I was kind of thinking that myself. How is deadly force defined? -
Supreme Court to decide on Use of Deadly Force in Police Pursuits
justinb138 replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
I believe fleeing the police is a felony in some states. IMO, the police don't know that the driver is only running from a traffic violation, he/she could have just killed someone, robbed a bank, etc.. -
Things that are grounds for revocation of the man card

There are articles in playboy? I'd say all of the above, and I'd add: - Owning any movie starring Richard Gere. - Voluntarily watching Brokeback Mountain. -
That is soooo photoshopped. I mean look at it. You can tell because the room is wayyyy to small for a a tv that size It's not photoshopped. It's an HD projector on a 92" screen. The room is kind of small for the screen, but it actually works pretty well for watching movies.
