    No, all students shouldn't be allow to. Those students w/a CHL should be able to. If I'm trustworthy enough to carry anywhere else in public, why should I not be allowed to on a college campus? Alot of anti-gun people said all the CHL people would be shooting each other over parking spots, etc.. It simply hasn't happened. I think the odds of a nut shooting up a school are much higher than a CHL holder doing so.

    At all of the gun shows I've been to, I remember the majority of non-FFL sales I saw were from private citizens to FFLs, not from one person to another. I'd be willing to bet that private sales make up a very, very small percentage of sales at the majority of gun shows.

    If someone was carrying a concealed weapon would this have been the worst shooting tragedy the US has ever seen? We will never know ... Writing as a college professor of many years, I would not wish to be in a classroom full of 18 year old males with concealed guns. You wouldn't have to be. IIRC, you must be 21 to get a CHL in any state that issues them.

It shows that there is no such thing as a "gun free zone". 4. It shows that criminals don't obey gun laws. 5. It also shows that banning handguns at schools is a really effective way to make sure that criminals are the only ones with guns.

    And passing laws to ban guns to prevent criminals (who by definition, break laws) from having them makes sense? If someone's going to kill someone, an illegal weapons charge doesn't even cross their mind.

    Well, then read more often. I'd be willing to bet that the US has a larger amount of gun crime than other nations, but we're not alone when it comes to mass murders.

    Amazing how people whose position doesn't have a leg to stand on tend to resort to snide comments and petty one-liners, rather than defending their position with fact based logic. Unfortunately there are 66 legs that will not be standing any more, yet you choose to make a pro-gun statement out of it. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED. If you don't want to discuss it, go to the bonfire. I've seen anti-gun people all over the news (mostly Brady people) using this event as a means to push their goals (assault weapons bans, etc..), most of which, while gun related, had little to do with the actual event. The pro gun people (NRA) offered their condolences and refused to make any additional comments until the facts are known. So which side is the one taking advantage of this tragedy?

    Except that it's impossible. The only people that banning guns would affect is the people that legally own them, which wouldn't do any good anyway. Have any evidence the back that up, or just making assumptions? Have you even ever fired a gun? Well, the cops sure aren't going to protect me, and you can't stop criminals from getting guns. Got a better means of defense than a firearm? If someone breaks into my house in the middle of the night am I just supposed to dial 911 and throw the phone at them? Wait for them to decide if they want to kill me? My goal is not to be a victim. I don't feel safe with you clowns making laws. My guns have never hurt anyone. I want criminals gone so I don't have to protect myself. Until that happens, I'll keep my guns.

    If the shooter is under 21, the ammunition (well, the 9mm anyway) would not have been legally obtained either.

    Actually the Brady people are already on national television blaming guns for this. The brady guy on the news mentioned the legality of assault rifles and high capacity magazines, neither of which was believed to be involved. The news here mentioned that the shooter used a 9mm and .22 handgun, and was possibly 19 or 20 years old.

    I don't know about the HC7, but my HC3 will only record 3 stills while recording video, but there was never any visible delay in the video while doing so.
