  1. Contact a local master rigger or send it to the manufacturer to have it looked at.
  2. Whatever. Please don't take anyone else out with you.
  3. Yes. His weight listed in his profile is 174, not the 140 he claims. He has 200 jumps and flies a Stiletto 120, and a Batwing 116 at or around a 1.5 loading. I'm sure safety is at the top of the list.

    TEQUILA!!

My two favorites: 1. Millagro Anejo - smooth, really good stuff - about 35$ a bottle 2. Gran Centenario - best Tequila I've had, and at 60$ for 750ml, I don't drink it often.
  5. Aerodynamics. While a conventional bike + rider don't have much frontal area they do have a lousy Cd. A funky recumbant fully-enclosed Anime style bike would be able to do a lot better than 3-4X what your car gets. Ah.. ok.
  6. Right. I didn't tell them about the fuel efficent M/C I have... I've always wondered how efficient people could make motorcycles. My 2800lb car with a 1.8L engine can get 35mpg on the highway, so why shouldn't my 400lb motorcycle with an 800cc engine be able to get 3-4 times as many miles/gallon?
  7. Ugh... I wonder which pharmaceutical company is paying this guy. I'd venture a guess that Alcohol is the most widely abused drug.
  8. Yep, but it doesn't mean that you can't close the account right after paying for the demo.
  9. My personal rule for closing loop length: If I'm not using profanity trying to close it, it's not tight enough.
  10. A closing loop of the proper length probably could have prevented that as well.
  11. Spectra has so little elasticity, that I doubt a coating would make that much difference either way. If anything, the increased friction between the slider grommets and the lines may slow the slider down a little bit compared to coated lines. I think canopy design has more to do with it than line specifics. I've had terminal rides on a Dash-M and a Smart reserve. The Dash-M smacked the living shit out of me (bruises for 2 weeks), and the Smart didn't even leave me sore.
  12. Add a cooler of beer, a cooler full of Jager and red bull, a fine bottle of anejo Tequila, and that'd be what I'm bring to SDD for the July 4th boogie this weekend.
  13. I've been planning on it as well, but the official release date appears to be pushed back every month. Last I heard they're going to start shipping in August, and by then I'll have already bought a Neptune. I'd really love to give them some money, but so far have not yet had the oppurtunity.
  14. Anyone know if the Neptune will do this also?
  15. Pro-track won't do canopy speed (descent rate). I don't know about the others. Pro-track and Neptune will take care of FF speed, FF time, and opening altitude, I don't think the VISO will. AFAIK, it's just a straight visual altimeter. That's what I keep hearing, at least for the last year or so.
  16. I don't usually plan weekdays, but it's not looking good so far. I got pulled over for doing 71 in a 55 this morning on the way to work.
  17. You referring to something you saw in the classifieds?
  18. That doesn't even matter. You would be surprised how many people are on the roads with suspended licenses...or even better yet, suspended Texas ID cards. They never even had a license in the first place, they got caught driving and now they can't get a license. However, they keep driving. Now, how many of those drivers do you think have insurance? Few, if any. Some local PD's have started a program where they will tow cars of people who get caught driving w/o insurance.
  19. Add to that the fact that most states (especially Texas) will give a drivers license to anyone who can figure out that one pedal is the gas and one is the brake.
  20. You'd think Hamas would have figured that out by now.
  21. Proper maintenence on vehicle = correct tire pressure. Learning how to drive a vehicle with a high CG = no rollovers.
  22. Not sure about that particular one, but I've seen this on a few.
