  1. It's that reason alone that really makes me believe that peace isn't what they really want, ever. I think their goal is to start an all-out war between Israel, the US, UK, and Lebanon, Syria, Iran, etc, and after Isreal's latest strikes, they're well on their way to reaching that goal.
  2. I'm always worried that I'm going to accidentally click on one of these NSFW pictures here at work one day and end up sitting here in front of everyone in my office with a giant penis on my computer screen.
  3. I think there's a little info on the website, but there may be more posted at the DZ. You ought to go, it's going to be a great party. I'd say it was my favorite event at the DZ last year.
  4. I believe there are a few, but I think the majority of us will be at SDD this weekend. I'd like to head down there, but I gotta work. Are you planning on coming to Casino Night the 29th?
  5. I've heard it happening with a Student Cypres, but to fire a Expert Cypres under canopy is pretty much impossible for most people.
  6. A .30-30 hunting bullet has 1902 ft. lbs of energy. Holy smokes! That means water balloons have over 6 times the kinetic energy of a lead bullet, fired from a hunting rifle! Again, let's use a little common sense.... I suppose you DO know how to calculate kinetic energy. Or use google.
  7. Technically it could be done, but it's no where near worth the cost or trouble it would take to do it.
  8. Bawls will have you bouncing off the f'n walls. That shit is SUPER powerful! I would buy a case or more for QuakeFest. Get down to the LAN and never see my room for 2 days straight. Drinking nothing but Bawls and eating potato chips. Yep. It's the closest you can get to bottled amphetmines. The local 7-11 used to sell it here, but I haven't seen it in a while.
  9. Hey Ed! The 190's are Sabre 2s in Vector SE student rigs, and the 170 is a Sabre 1 in an older Talon container. Have you mentioned the problems to Mandy or Ernie? They may be able to help out.
  10. Anyone ever toy with one of those 3-person water balloon slingshots? Being hit by one (which I would assume was traveling waaay slower than freefall speeds), really, really sucked. I'd be willing to bet that even a small water balloon falling at terminal could easily kill someone.
  11. Move to Texas. I pass 3 on my way home from work.
  12. I picked up a Sony external burner at Best Buy for about 100$ a few weeks ago. Works great.
  13. Probably. I just can't see how there are enough married, gay baseball players with gambling and steroid habits to really cause all that many problems....
  14. Isn't it just great how gov't spending has gone crazy, we're in a war, people are finding $90,000 in lawmakers' freezers, N. Korea is testing long range missles, and congress is worried about internet gambling, gay marriage, and baseball players on steroids? What the hell do these people actually do on a daily basis?
  15. I've got a Wings container w/o that style of bag, and I've never had a problem with line-twists (other than the ones caused by me).
  16. It's the only part of Texas I'd consider living ... I see how it is... no love for Dallas.
  17. I like solar powered lightbulbs. No argument from me there. I am wondering why I'm the only one named, though... Everyone else gets initials. Not complaining, just curious. I think we've discussed this before.... it's because you're always right.
  18. Same here. It was nice to finally get a little rain this week. The cracks in the ground were getting so big that animals were living in them.
  19. I'll take "Child Molesters That Should Be In Prison" for $400 Alex......
  20. IIRC, that's not above a cascade point, as the Fusion has non-cascaded HMA lines. Edit: Line attachment point maybe?
  21. Have you seen both of them? They look quite a bit different. Kevlar - light yellow color, used in Strong tandem reserves, and I've seen kevlar lines on an older sport reserve, but I can't remember exactly what it was. It's also used as the kill-line for Wings pilot chutes. HMA (Technora) - used on lots of Precision's canopies, and most of the newer HP canopies (JVX, Nitron, Katana, etc..). A coated variant is used on HiPer's canopies (Nitro, Blade). It's black instead of the usual tan-colored line. From the web: HMA is better suited to repeated flexing than Kevlar, which is why it's now becoming common on mains, whereas Kevlar has only seen limited use in reserves.
  22. Because it's not Kevlar. Kevlar is more yellow than HMA, and doesn't handle wear as well. They're closely related, but not the same.
  23. I'm fond of the Wings freebag design for this reason.
