Tonight, on ESPN2's Extreme Night... EXTREME KNITTING!!!! now THAT is the extreme sport that should have replaced skydiving in the games.....

ROTFLMAO!!!!! and boy... sooo many long words...... its true, you must have gone to uni! damm.. the last thing we needed: an educated subversive feminist!
-
Will: its sooo nice too see how you're the 1st one in line to support this good cause! Emma: do you have the details? Karen usually isnt keen on chick loads (I personally dont understand... I would always rather be in a plane full of girls...), but I'll let her know. Remi

I know there was a thread with the "how to bake" it... you could also try their website or email them...

As I've always said: THERE ARE NO SUCH TINGS ARE PERFECTLY GOOD AIRPLANES!!! They're all smelly, unreliable things! Good to see all was OK on that day!! Remi

WB Will! Yea.. Lyle is a really nice guy, isnt he.. (sure helps if your Canadian ) See you this weekend if the weather is nice enough! Remi PS: nice to see you've gotten more into RW too!

I am by no means an expert (ie I only read about that stuff.. ) but I think a .42 lens officially qualifies as a fish eye, while a .5 is pretty close enough..... have a look at http://www.ground-rush.com/headwear.htm, they have a few links on photography and some get into explanations....

One word (OK.. I cant count): full face are awsome when at tailgate boogies; they've saved me from many "foot in mouth" mishaps.... Its not a life saver situation, but let me assure you, you perform a lot better for the ret of the skydive if you' lips arent split in 2 places! I know some of you will say "if your close enough from the person in front of you on exit, you wont get his/her tevas in your face", but when your 4 ot 5 wide, who knows where the feet are comming from! Remi

Very reasonable advice Schuey! Remi

Hi Chris, lets leave it at that: we agree to dissagree.... silicone will reduce wear on the rubbers (thats the agree part) but I will still need someone to re-educate me on Physics wrt the reduction in friction not leading to a lesser force required to pull the stows (thats the disagreeing part).... Peace? Remi

That means I have to become a USPA member, and get a USPA examiner to check the requirements, etc, etc, etc, .... WAAAAAAYYYYYYY to complicated for a lazy bum like me.... I'll just carry on with my CSPA C..... amd my Muff licence....

I know this is getting off-subject, but.... 200 jumps? I AM surprised... In Canada, its 500 (last time I ckecked), and in the UK, its now 1000!!! I'm doomed never to get my D... when I get to 1000, I'll probably move to a country where its a 5000 req!!! Who said you dont learn anything on the internet!!! lol
-
a D is 500 jumps in the US right?... might be a problem there....
-
Thx for that Troy, I really wasnt sure about the PRO rating... As I said, this is the only showstopper I saw... looks like you have an adequate level (in the end its your call), and if you got an invite, someone else thinks so too!!! Remi

Agreed on the discipline... If you've been in the air with 15 people and did an OK job, then going to 30 would be a step up, but not too steep a step (only you and people who know how well you fly your body and your canopy know...). If you do go low, fight it as much and as hard as you can, until break-off if you have to... this way you will stay close to the formation. As Axe said: Track flat.... and long (if your on the outside)... On the 30 and 40 ways I've been, the deployments were not staged: break-offs were, but pull altitude was always in the 2500 range. The only question mark I have is the Demo issue: dont you have to have a PRO rating in the US to do a demo? Edited by remiandkaren on 7/6/01 07:37 AM.

If your staying States side, Lost Prairie is good too! (never been, but my lovely wife did a few years back, and other friends did in the last couple of years). When is the Couch Freaks happening this year? Does it still exist? (been away from North America for a while...)

Where can you see the top 50 list? (not that I'm anywhere close yet!) NEVR MIND... just found it... Edited by remiandkaren on 7/6/01 04:15 AM.

LMAO... it wouldnt look so pretty......

Too bad you're only off from the 2nd... Espace Boogie is awsome... (28 July to 5 August) in Lapalisse (no big ass Antonov jet this year, just 2 Skyvans and 1 Turbine DC3... just....) Granted, it does not have the numbers of Quincy, but having experienced both, the jumping at Espace is aimed at one thing: quality...... RW and FF and Wingsuits.... But if your staying in London for a while, maybe next year! Remi

At Nouvel Air (Quebec DZ), they were using at some point full face helmets for the PFF instructors with a microphone, and a modified Protec with big ass headphones built-in... And for fun jumpin, some in-ear headphones would work fine with a full-face (its pretty quiet with those)... But I wouldnt recommend it... you should be able to hear others after opening in case someone is yelling and charging at you after a off-heading opening....

As I said.. A crazy mixed up world.....
