Yea... but it wont get me anymore glory here! everybody knows Skreamer on here!!!! and that Skygod definatly has the Skygod attitude: snobish, doesnt talk to anyone, thinks he's superior to everyone.... hehehe PS: Skreamer has NEVER packed on my packing mat... he always has an army of scantly clad groupy packers to do his biddings....

Most of the celebs I've come accross have always been very down to earth . At Espace, some of the dives were organised by Patrick P, and its SOOOOO funny to hear him speak english!!! he has the MOST stereotypical french accent when he speaks english!!! PPS: Wendy S packed on our packing matt!!! shhhh dont tell Karen

We even have matching bras and undies!

Reflex, Stiletto 170 and Raven-something-or-another... I'm sure it was big enough when I ordered it... for accessories: Cypres, Z-1, Pro-Dytter, Tony suit (x3), Alti-II, and Tevas... Remi PS: Karen jumps a Reflex, Tri 120, raven-something-or-another-but-smaller-then-mine... and the sad part is that our rigs kinda match.. even if we designed them seperatly.. guess we both like purple and white!), and similar accesories

Dek: read up on the gear and safety section on this website (top of the page), then read up on the gear forum....

mmm.. lets put it this way: I USED to cycle (did some pretty long trips - up to 7 weeks), I USED to do some climbing, wintercamping, hiking/camping... Now... mmm... skydiving is pretty much it! I still do a bit of hiking once in a blue moon... Since we've moved to Europe, any non-skydiving trip we take is to do some good ole fashion tourism...

No Prob Lisa... The one I saw last week was on a Tear Drop (UK gear) SuperFly, but I'm sure I've seen it elswhere... Correct me if I'm wrong: but it is no a TSO infraction to change the risers, right (I'm pretty sure, but not being a rigger, I'd rather not make the blanket statement), so one could get such risers (minbi with large rings) from maker A on Rig from B... as long as the Rig's ring is a large one!

I'll throw my 2cents even though I havent been there in a couple of years... never had a radio, never missed a load... If there have kept up the way you manifest like the last time I went, you get you group ready (for you Pammi, I'm sure that will be some kick ass 20 ways...) dirt dive, go to the boarding tents with your 20 tickets, and say "we wanna jump", you'll go under the tent, wait 5 minutes and get on the plane! (OK OK.. maybe alittle longer for a CASA.. these birds are popular). Even the 1st time I went where you actually manifested at a central point for load X, they had speakers all around to broadcast the boarding calls....

From Weid's post, to not pollute the respectable Gear forum with trivial banter... http://www.thinkhelmets.com/products.htm Can someone explain to me why Bass fishermen need a full face helmet? http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forums/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=forumgear&Number=32775&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&part=

I'm sorry if i'm a Bass fishing wuffo and end up insulting all you hard core bass fishermen out there, but ROTFLMAO!!!!!!! What was THAT about!!!! That BassAce looks EXACTLY like an Oxygen!!! and both that company and Skysystems are based in Denver... at the same address.. and the same phone number.... Now think about this: not that I can imagine a bass fiherman needing a full face helmet, but how funny would it be to see a bunch of'em using Oxygen's helmets modified for Bass fishing!!! And now for the scary part: there are a bunch of Bass fishermen out ther, probably on www.hardcorebassfishing.com who are laughing their ass off thinking how stupid these skydivers must look with their BassAce helmets modified for skydiving!!!!

My technique for mental prep and relaxation in the plane. This is what I was using, and then taught again when I took my Coach 2 courses. Mental rehearsal of the entire jump at 2k (dive, points, setups, keys, track, pull, emergency procedures) Again 2/3 up (6 or 9k depending) Then once I gear up completely (helmet, zips...), relaxing with 3 deep breaths, inhaling by nose, exhaling by mouth, controling the exhaust During the 2 minute warning, a quick rehersal of just the points. The relaxing method is what I always use (when the stress is high), and suggest others use (or at least give a try) Remi

Both Karen and I have one (each.. hahaha) Realy like them, confy, got a great price new in 1999 (their millenium sale), I've yet to have either riser covers or main flap come loose in Freefall. My wife's -S (shorty) does have the main flap come open from time to time ( the shark tooth maybe a bit too short on hers). But not in the last year that I can remember (maybe it needed to grow older to fit well) We had all the grommets checked and re-seated, but none shown any problems. As some have said, it is a pity that they got a bad rep from that as other containers had the same problem at the same time and they came out of it with no dark clouds over them (not whishing any ill will to any other company). Bottom line: really like it. Remi

Good luck! Great gear, pityfull customer service (I've had several emails and voice mails go unanswered in th epast)... still bought a Z1 though in Lake Wales.... Remi

Mmmm..... hate to disagree with you Lisa, especially since you work for a gear shop, but you CAN get large rings on mini risers.... seen it many times (again last week at Espace).... No one has mentioned it yet, but there is one major advantage to the large ring vs mini rings: mechanical advantage.... I dont have the numbers in front of me, but I believe its about 40 to 1 for the large one, and only 5 to 10 to 1 on the minis (I'm sure the riggers will quote the right numbers).... meaning that on a spinning eliptical with line twists all the way up the lines, you probably wont expereince a hard cutaway at all with large rings (even on mini risers) as opposed to mini rings. Do long legs help tracking.. .mmm... I guess in theory yes... But by the time you factor booties, body position, etc... its probably not that significant IMHO Even a fat bastard (takes one to know one) with legs that are proportional to his height can track pretty far and flat with the right body position/technique.... As far as rocking.... first I hear of it! Remi

Hi Ninja! Say hi to Errol and Cindy from me when you get back to Westlock! I bet (at leats I hope) you saw some pretty awsome parabatics from the Plaid Jackets! (for those who dont know what parabatics are, take CReW, take it down low, do lots of in-facing moves, and land -almost- a biplane).. used to live in Edmonchuck couple of years ago... And for the $, just wait.... go to a booggie, get a GF/BF (sorry, dont know if you a girlie or a boy...) who also jumps, and SHAZZZZAM...couple of grand gone.... but its the best way to spend it! Remi

I'm up to 726 now.... and for once, my log book is up to date! Even FF time and all!!! (except for the signing of course...) Remi

Arent we spoiled!!!!!!! I know I know, moan moan bitch bitch complain complain.!!!! By the way, not ALL the loads went to 14,500... (one almost got to 15k hehehe... but most were between 13k and 14.5K)... twas fun allright! And I've always said the LET was a fine plane! I spent 2 years in a Cesna 182/180 DZ that went to 9.5K... And yep, we'll see ya at Langar soon (when, it depends on the lovely weather these fine british isles have in store!). PS: Ben: did you send that stuff to Karen?

For those who aren't at Quincy right now.... A quick report on last week's Espace Boogie in Lapalisse Well, Its been a fun Boogie! Way smaller then last year (and according to the old hands, last year was already smaller then the previous years). No special plane or chopper this year (for those who did not know, there usually is a BIG plane at Espace: there have been MI 26 choppers -125 people -; AN 72 jet with 75 slots, and way back then a stretch Herc) as the turbine DC3 could not make it... [sad] probably why it was smaller this year. BUT in the face of adversity, fun prevailed!! The 2 Skyvans and 2 Super Otters provided the lift to 14,500, and on the RW side, there were 4 groups of 20 to 16, some groups doing some pretty complicated stuff (most of our jumps involve back ins, or side by side base set-ups). Did a couple of 54 ways too... Karen and I manage to squeeze in 40 jumps each (35 RW from 6 to 54 ways - mostly 12 to 16 ways; 1 two way rodeo; 1 thirteen way track; 1 twelve way pylon race; and 2 fifteen way hoop dives) in the 8 days we were there On the FF side... who knows what these freaks were doing!!!.... Seriously, Marco Manna was putting together some awesome looking 20 ways!!!, loads of Track jumps, Atmonauti, head down, up, whatever, combinations of which ever....! The weather was HOT for the 1st half, then went so-so for the second (we were grounded for at least 3 half days). The food was magnifique... well, its France after all!!! FREE FROM FREAKING ENGLISH BOILED BEEF FOR A WEEK!!! YEA!!!!!!!! Remi
