Well, if they send Tandems 1st, its new since April!!! As fard as you being a hard core free flyer.. oh well, we cant all know how to fall stable! jk... I'm flat, but check out http://www.babylon-freefly.com/ have aslo a look at my reply (not that I know anything...) to the order order post.... and Empuria has clear rules for tracking designed to keep FFer and RWer from making mid-air soup... By the way, are you single, coz I havent mentioned spanish women yet....

I'a a flat flyer and I've been in this situations (close to others, bot flats and head downs) with both configuration: FF 1st or last. I think the key is to make sure there is adequate seperation and not to track along the jumprun (Empuria has clear rules for tracking). I know there's been some studdies into this, and I've never really agrred with the validity of the assumptions that were used in them (its been a while, cant remember what they were). In the end, take it upon yourselft to make distance... And I've been to US DZs that swear by both rules (FF 1st or last)... Remi

Let keep our pantyhose on people!!!! We werent there, we dont know these people, and we have no idea of the background to this.... at least I dont, maybe you all were on a trip the the Low Countries this weekend... Remember, this is comming from the same Media that we all agree does a real crap job at reporting skydiving in general! Maybe that Kid was really scared, maybe she liked it... maybe its her 10th tandem..... Remi

PS: are u going to provide the spectators with protective goggles? There's bound to be a few eyes injuries (its gonna be cold and some of these nipples are gonna be pretty errect!!!!)

Empuria is a great place. http://www.gna.es/dlleure/Paraca/eng/index.htm theres lots of beach in the town itself (allthough I've never been on it! if its nice enough to sun tan, its nice enough to skydive). They have some good RW organizing, and the FF team Babylon is based there, so if falling on your head is your cup of tea... There's beautifull contryside to explore if the weather is bad. Which it can be... That part of Europe gets whats called the Tramontagne: a strong, long, persistant wind from the north (when I say long, it can last for a few days). Have a look at the climate info http://www.onlineweather.com/v4/world/europe/Spain/climate/Barcelona.html That being said, both my wife and I managed about 25 jumps in each of the 1 week stays we had there in Xmas and Easter, and some days were weathered out Its really close to Barcelona. I you havent been to Spain to do the tourist thing before, Barcelona is DEFINATLY a place to visit. Its about 2 hours away (Bracelona is the best city I've visited, and I've been around... just ask my wife ). Nite life: (Disclaimer: I'm not a nite howl anymore...) how late do you want to stay up???? If you dont know Spain, you're in for a surprise..... Ther are a couple of discos in Empuria itself (Empuria is a bit of a holiday destination for Germans and Brits); Barcelona, well, its only the most vibrant city in Southern Europe in my opinion... Most places dont get going until midnite, and close in the weeee hourse of the morning (I've seen people walking out of the Discos in Empuria when we were getting up to go to the DZ...) If Discos arent you things, pick a Bar, any Bar..... All that being said, if you go for a hard core skydive holiday, it should be good, but like any place its weather depending. If you wanna mix jumping with good old fashion tourism, not too may better places in my opinion... If you want more info, just ask! Remi

Great location, allthough the blanket covered concrete hangar floor is hard on the knees if you want shaded packing... The organizing was well done when I went. If the weather turns crappy, there is quite a bit to do around, depending on your likes... Loads of good restaurant in Empuria (some not so good, so ask around!). The will no doubt say Oasis is good (its run by a Skydiver - Gabby - and you know what, it IS good... realllly good... Remi

mmm finding lost of techies on a online bulleting board... mmm.. I'm not sure its too surprising.... Might as well fill in the jumping info: comming up to 700 jumps (680 something), and do pretty much only RW... would like to do more CRW (2 jumps), but dont want to sacrifice the free fall!!! -
Hi HH, I personally would like to be able to see the full profile of someone from the forums (right now, unless I'm too stoopid to see how, you need to go to Home and enter the name in the seach bar at the botton left). One way to solve this may be to add a link in the Forum profile to the user's full profile... Remi

Hi Michele, a Horny G is a fun jump move where jumpers in a star (say a 4 way) keep their grips but flip their legs towards the center and lock them with the others.... Ideally, you then let go of the arm grips and ride it down!!!! Do it high.. it eats up LOTS of altitude......

Viking, if you're THAT interested, i saw the same post in classifieds (maybe on DZ.com, or on enclave.. cant remember now).. HH: maybe you want to delete the classified post (if its there....) By the way, how do you spell P-Y-R-A-M-I-D ? AND YES, i do spend way to much time on the web.... just dont tell my boss, he thinks I'm typing emails...

This is why us canadians WILL rule the world!!! [sadistic evil laugh] PFF starts with IADs.... The worst part was doing Instructor A course... and being a dummy IAD student... I'll always remember that one jump: as I got out on the strut, I turn my head back to look at the other Instructor in training who was doing the JM on that jump... and out of the corner of my eye, I see a white thing move out and behind me.... and then I see his face that said one thing: ohhhhh f**k.... and I knew... he let go of the PC.... I let go and it turned out to be an uneventfull jump (ie I didnt have a plane in tow! lol) Poor guy... on his next load, I'm told to fall off the strut.... I do, and as the canopy opens, I see another body in freefall... Good thing is, he did get it together and pass the course... Remi
