Sure learn to propack....that's typicaly what you will do in the future anyway. might as well get it right from the begining...although my GF still flat packs her sabre 190...and she has almost 300 jumps...she still has yet to learn to pro pack. it works for her. I never learned how to pro pack...I learned to psycho pack at Sebastian...so much easier to get it in the Dbag that way. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

I would absolutely buy one....with out question. as long as it was maintained well amount of patches isn't out of control...and most importantly the center cell doesn't have too much sweat damage(this is usualy the cell the replace after a couple thousand jumps on there mains...packer sweat is a bitch on nylon... if you leave your gear out in the sun, drag it across the ground when you pack, jump in a desert environment, jump in a salt water environment...all of these things add up...if you do all of them your gear isn't going to last nearly as long as someone who always uses a packing mat, always packs indoors, stays out of the sun as much as humanly possible, etc etc etc....thousands of jumps on a rig is very very possible...you can also wear out a rig FAST by not treating it right....I saw a mirage the other day that was only two years old but had very fuzzed up main lift web/reserve risers, faded panels, cadmium plating coming off, just looked like crap....problem is when I asked the owner about his care plan for the rig..."I'll just buy a new one".....scary part is he is probably going to try to sell this rig to someone at my home DZ...VERY scary.. I know several people that jump 2000 plus jump canopies...stilletto's, sabre1's...there is nothing wrong with them...as long as they are relined obviously. and I'd have no problem with that. there are several PD sponsered teams who have these kind of jumps on there canopies. they still work great. My one and only tandem jump was on a strong rig...it opened nice and slow at first...snivel snivel snivle...POW!!! it hurt so bad it knocked the wind out of me...my TM was knocked three ways from sunday...and was temporarily knocked out...here I was out front now way of grabing toggles and we are flying AWAY from the DZ. after a couple of slaps to his face he was up and awake...we flew and landed just fine with a stand up landing...but a few hours later he totaly didn't remember the jump. ended up with a cut lip and a concusion... be carefull out there... a 22 caliber flexible rifle bore cleaner works perfectly for this. also using a swab works great too after you run the bore cleaner through to get the gunk out...it's kinda scary to see how much crap comes out too!!! Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
