  1. Well Mark, smaller canopies simply turn faster...two canopies of different sizes...one a 150 one a 230 both loaded the same will not provide the same ride. they will have the same speed down the glide slope. but smaller canopies turn faster...period. more than one person has been hurt jumping a 150 too early even though they loaded it at around 1.0 just my two cents... Marc
  2. buy a mac G5...and you wont have to build a thing...but you want a PC...so what is it exactly you want to do with it? Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  3. There ya go Dave...now quit knocking us psycho packers... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  4. I have psycho packed from the begining..as this was the method taught to me as a student. I have yet to pack a mal. I like the psycho pack as I can feel the lines easier through the pack job and therefor can control them better. I can propack just fine and get it in the bag that way. I just prefer to psycho because it's just easier...simple as that. and if your buddy packed mals somehow with a psycho pack..sounds like he doesn't know how to pack... 5. because you should be able to rely on your eyeballs as to what altitude you are at. somepeople on the other hand eather do not have the jumps or the mindset to look at the ground at certain altittudes. so that makes them reliant on the altitude devices....at least that is how I perceive that...I could be wrong..Andy? 6. Simon told me directly to my face that it is alright to Psycho pack the Xfire2...it was the one that they didn't recommend it for some reason. the website has not been updated in a while.
  7. Mr tower rat....the three bag locks I have personaly witnessed were all with RUBBER BANDS!!! a poor and sloppy job of placing the lines in there stowes is a huge culpret of this. I am anal to a T on my packing and placement of my lines. if you are carefull this is a non issue. but like I said before if you pack like crap then your asking for trouble no matter what kind of stowe bands you use...if you use any at all. Yes it can...depending on the manufacturer, the cost is over 50 and under 100 bucks...plus risers. unless they can mod your risers you have. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

I am entitled to my opinions on the RSL as are you. I stated that I "tend" to disconnect my RSL. that does not mean all the time and does not mean never. I am not a moron and understand that when I disconnect my RSL it will no longer serve a purpose. how I am contradicting my self I do not understand. yes it will help you if you have a low cutaway...no it wont help me when I disconnect my RSL...DUH!!!!! I was giving benefits of an RSL system....one of them is it helps for a low cutaway. is this why I have it??? did I say that??? Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

  11. I'd recommend Lisa...but that was when she was at Square one...I dont know if she has changed since she started playing with the Gators in FLBut she was great to work with when she was in CA... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  12. I dont know if I can agree with your constitutional challenge Paul. I dont think the freedom to fly with out hassle was in the constitution. If you have a problem with flying...then you have to start flying GA...or drive it. flying is a privledge not a right. or at least that's my opinion...and your entitled to yours.

It was not his gear??? huh?? then how did it just come undone? sounds to me like it eather broke...or he didn't hook the 3rings up properly...or some other part of the riser/release system was not working. risers just dont "pop" off for the heck of it. benefits? well it will help get the reserve out faster should I be low, it will get the reserve out if I am unable to get to the handle..ie.harness turned all sorts of ways, dislocation of an arm, folded under handle, etc., helps me when I might not be 100% when I get that cutaway(even the best have a bad day...I dont plan on it..but like back up...too many people have not beat the ground with there reserve pull) there's more I am at a brain block right now. like I said before...it is important to maintain your riser system if you have an RSL to prevent one HUGE problem with an RSL system. it is a risk...but I think I am more afraid of a low cutaway than I am of my riser's failing..as I replace them when they should be. I also do not use my RSL all the time...I disconnect it when needed as I stated before. like I said before they have drawbacks...and benefits. for me I like em...for you well that's for you to decide. just dont believe all the doomsayers when it comes to RSL's. they aren't really as bad as they will have you to believe.
  14. I use large Skybandz for my 4 locking stowes and I use Tube stowes for my 4 other bands....none of these are tight except the locking stowes....wrapped ONCE. no need to tighten your stowes that much to control openings. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

Sounds like your friend needs to maintain his gear better....or check his risers more often...there are benefits and negatives to everything. RSL's are one thing that has both a huge benefit and some small risk. I will not jump with out one, unless I have a camera on my head or I am jumping my freefly tube...but to each his own. EXACTLY!!!! Hey Ryan, How much would it cost to put an RSL onto a Mirage that doesn't have one right now? I'm trying to encourage the GF to get one.....she was told to NOT get one when she bought her first rig. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

  20. I have the freefly handle and the spandex pouch on both of the wings that I have owned. they both have been very good to me. one problem I have had is that sometimes the handle comes out. I have thought about switching over to a hackey or small monkeys fist...but probably will just stay with what I have. the spandex is looking great on my rig. I have no complaints with my choice. I have had a few people complain about there cordura pouches and the size of there pilot chutes...they switched to a smaller PC and now it is rock solid for them... peace, marc
  21. I sent an Email complaining about some sizing issues I had with my first rig. stating that I really wanted my rig sized for a 150 main and 218 reserve. almost two weeks later I had a full new custom cut container on my way to my door. I can not say enough about Wings...They really have a customer for life. Henri did an outstanding job on this rig I have. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  22. one benefit of an open face over a full face is you can get kiss passes. it's much more fun that with a full face...
