    Well the reason I ask is what will you do when you need to send it in for a 4yr check? are you going to stop jumping for that time? or will you jump without it?     PCCODER...would you not jump with out a cypres? if you wont...then you should definately decide if this is the sport for you... Also Ron...I think we all get your opinion on new things around here...do we have to hear it again for the 40th time now??? It gets a tad repetative.     I was under the impression they are to keep the slider up....not necesarily to protect the slinks...although they do provide some protection for them. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

    That's funny, as I've seen plenty of G3's and G4's with flapping riser covers and main pin covers....but then again I've seen every major rig manufacturer have this issue. sometimes it's a packing issue other times a sizing issue. but to claim that you will never have this happen if you buy a mirage is just a flat out falicy....     the direct bagged static line HP jumps I have seen on vengences, and velocities all ended in line twists....just what i saw over the course of 10 or so jumps...some of them were not cutaway's...but most were. I was not doing the jumping. just the watching and this was out of the side of an Otter. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

    Have you tried the new PD slinks slider stops?...they do work nicely and prevent the slider from dropping down. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

    I agree I have seen the damage that this causes and the guy had to get the center cell repaired. he didn't do the 4 n 4 thing. he was taking all of em and rolling them into the center cell... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

    That certain manufacturer also denies there is a problem with hard openings on that particular canopy. saying it is a packing/user issue. I have the broken knuckles to prove it is a bit more of a packing issue with that canopy. but you are right it will damage the nose of that cell. what people need to do is add a pocket slider and not mess with the nose.
