Mine is an affected reserve..mine was manufactured in 97...it originaly had type 3 with one bartack...it was sent back with type 3 and two bartacks...now I find out that if I had waited a bit longer I would have gotten the stronger type 1 for the same price. that is fucked up....I really will never buy or promote a precision product. Mine was done at the factory too...and it has the two bartacks...WTF!!!! Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

Yeah...its a norman kent canopy...all dacron lines. I haver never seen one with them eather. but I will give that a try. thanks, marc

Scott's stilletto... I am pretty sure it's 500-600#... PD manual says to look at the wings manual for Dacron instructions but does say that using the micro line instructions will work....wings manual says to look at the PD manual for Dacron instalation Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

So I hooked up my new canopy the other day. it has Dacron Lines...there HUGE first off and pack up unbelievably large. My first thought is after the season is over maybe switching them out to Spectra. anyway my question is when I hooked up the steering toggles they just dont look clean. My toggles are made with the small grommet for micro line. I still installed the dacron how I would micro line fingertrapped it...etc...etc...but they just dont look as nice as my Vectran does on my Safre. any ideas how to make these fat lines look good. I dont have any pics right now as my rig is sitting over at the future inlaws house. thanks for any ideas.... marc

Personaly I like the split option with tye dye...and stainless...mini risers...narrow chest strap...FREEFLY PUD...it fits my hand so naturaly as to not be an issue...I have a harder time grabbing onto a hackey... but the best option on my rig is I asked Henri to build me a rig that would fit my 218-m reserve and a Xfire2 149...and he custom cut me a one off W21-1...beautifull thing.

when she doesn't flat pack it she gets spanked...it's not even a real flat pack...it's an odd flat pack..but it works to tame the openings... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

Newbie freeflyers should NOT have a camera on there head if they dont know how to fly.... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

Rook top mounts all of his camera's...ya dont have to have a side mount to freefly at all.... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

What is interesting though...is that with my Safire I dont have to worry about every little thing in a pack job...an neat pack job or a trash pack both give me consistant smooth soft openings....everytime...why is it with a Sabre 1 it has to be packed so anal?? if my GF doesn't flat pack her's in her special way it will knock the shit out of her everytime.... I've seen Xaos canopies coming from the factory with HMA and Dacron mixed...Dacron being for the steering lines... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

sounds sorta like a tail gate....
-
in a simple answer....yes....and since your used to the wear characteristics of your Xfire you wont freak out about Vectran on your safire....

Took my GF almost 3months to get a replacement when she had her cutaway. Mirage gave her a boatload of different excuses and then some. just a real pain....hope your mileage is different... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

I used to have a real bad habit of getting my hands up...I got spanked so hard I saw stars...some how my left hand hit my risers as it violently opened over me and I had a backwards pointing finger where all the others were pointing towards my palm...I dont remember how it hit it due to the violent nature of the opening...cool thing is it's on video...

There are ways to fix hard opening sabres...everything from the way you pack...to a larger slider...to a pocketed slider. the key is if it is affordable and in good shape buy it. then jump it...if it slams you...like I got slammed and dislocated a finger on the sabre 230 I jumped...get a larger slider or put a pocket on the slider and it will sort it self out. I disagree....my canopy that I bought from PISA 3 years ago was hooked up to the card with Zip ties...then when I bought that safire from you at square1 2years ago it did not have links of any kind. I ended up buying slinks from you. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

Put a pocket on your slider....that will tame the openings some. marc

do you know what would happen to your poor body if you had a 300mph premature???.....ouch....keep that in mind in a semi serious sort of way.... -
I have had the fortune of jumping my Dash M 218 and jumping a PD 176 hooked up as a main. the 218 was definately larger...the PD was easier to land though....just my opinion. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

will i be getting into trouble if i buy this?
skymedic replied to shawnstarr's topic in Gear and Rigging
or send it to the MFR. who built the thing and Precision will do it for 50bucks also....but that might be more of a pain to ship to from your location. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman.... -
straight pro pack from what I remember when I jumped one. nothing fancy. although I psychpacked mine with very good results on the openings. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

what is your wing loading on your raven? I didn't have any problems on my cutaway with my Dash-M loaded at 1.1. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman.... -
I have the info...I'll find it. it's from PD. and they make a fairly strong argument in favor of NOT rolling the nose. although if my girlfriend doesn't roll the nose on her sabre it will rock her world. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
