  1. do you mean 800??? I have never head of firewire 900...I know all bout 800 though...good stuff...but pricey!!!! Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  2. I had the same problem when i first bought my safire from square 1 two years ago. slam bam and then some. sent it to HookNSwoop and got his performance option done to it. I not only increased my flare power but now the thing snivles almost too long. it's like falling into a big fluffly pillow....quite a few deployments on it since then with no issue's whatso ever. definately helped out the slammers.
  3. owning, maintaining, insuring, operating a vinatge WW2 aircraft...especialy a 4 engine bomber of this size is why....it is VERY expensive to find spare parts. it's not like your ford or chevy where you can go down to the autopart store and buy a spare starter....it's just not that easy. these are meticulously maintained airplanes...and if I had the cash would not hesitate at the jump. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  4. wasn't putting a canopy down actualy...just saying what I have encountered the time's I've jumped a sabre 2. take it for what it's worth. Thank you so much for calling me a retard.....that was so kind of you. and I know he is talking about safire 2's.... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  5. and I heard a rumour that sabre 2's open hard..oh wait I actualy experienced that...packed it this way and that way...with no success...bang bang bang.....oh well....I'm happy with my safire. bye the way...not good to spread rumour.... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  6. Agreed...I saw nothing but bad before he invaded and nothing but bad for the future after he invaded. I am a republican...but after MrBush did what he did...I can't in good faith support that man. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  7. I watched the video this morning....it is chilling to the bone...and then some. awefull awefull and worse. I think if they would have been more carefull at the prison this wouldn't of been so blatant....but then again they are savages over there as it is..so who knows... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  8. Both wings and racer have proven they will make any combo main and reserve. it is very do able. my rig is made for a 149Xfire and a 218 reserve. 70 square foot difference...that's as big a difference as soem mains out there now a days. what's odd is I had my first cutaway in december. I hadn't flown a bigger than 175ish parachute in over 2 years...but I was so lightly loaded on my reserve it felt like I was flying a skybarge. making it very easy for me to find my landing spot and lots of time to set up for it....very nice indeed. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  9. My set up now...218-M reserve and a 170 safire.... future will be the same...200ish square foot reserve and 150ish main... I like the idea of instant upsize when I am down and out...
  10. the new 12"s have wifi and bluetooth standard....and also have the same 1.33 processors as the 15's...I dont want the back lit stuff...and all I'd miss out port was is some of the monitor out and a firewire800 port. I can get done what I need with the Mini-DVI...I like the 12's for the portability most. 15's are nice...just not worth the extra cash by the time you add apple care onto it.
  11. If I was buying a powerbook right now I'd get the 12" with the super drive....just cause from everything I've read in the mag's is there are some problems with external's at the moment...and the built in would smooth that out big time....plus I dvd is a pretty damn cool program Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  12. who makes your gear? never have seen 100%kevlar before..... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  13. Wings uses that system too... Heather remembers my problems with my harness on my wings. I had it to them and back in less than a week all sorted out. I am pretty sure you are talking about wings. call the manf. and talk to them before you complain on here..... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  14. if not shut the lights off forever in the process.... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  15. tye dyeing a tshirt is easy...tye dyeing Cordura is a whole different animal....
  16. Congrats Justin...So happy for you and the wife.
  17. why? because I have an all yellow main....I want to know that my reserve is a contrasting color in case of a two out situation. granted my reserve is mongo compared to my main...but still it's good to have color variation. although in some ways your right...who cares as long as it opens.
  18. personaly I have type 17's for there ease of front friser and rear riser maneuver's. I can get my little hands around them much easier than the type 8's out there....makes my life much easier in this regard. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  19. 260 out the door give or take 5pounds...no issues on my mini risers to speak of....I am also a maintenance nut though. so they will get changed out well before failure will set in. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  20. a smaller canopy at the same given wingloading will tend to turn faster and fly faster due to less drag from smaller lines and less material. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  21. Uhh...nope..never did that. ..I find that installing them (slinks) with a packboy makes life VERY easy...yes vectran can be a bitch though pack boy makes it mucho easy...
  22. not one but two teams.....and honestly, I dont think that majik or the french team would be jumping them consistently if they thought it was going to kill them. that would be stupid. now if you want to call those guys stupid, that's up to you. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  23. I just have not seen the hassle of installing them to be that great. but then again I am a gear nut. love to inspect and maintain my gear and just really dont see how slinks can be that hard for people. oh and the mix should not raise an issue...I have vectran on my safire and use slinks with out issue. dont try to over think a problem into being. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
  24. Pardon me, what I should have said is that you can get a bag lock from any type of stow band. when I said that rubber bands caused them I didn't necesarily mean it that way. as I said I have seen three bag locks...every single one was with regular rubber bands caused by eather poor packing or bad luck or a bit of both. I use tube stowes and super bands with out issue...but I'm anal about how I stow my lines.... Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
