So... Now that gas prices are going back down...
Lindercles replied to scottbre's topic in The Bonfire
This is an excellent model for polls. I'm thinking of posting this one: Subject: Are you gay? Options: 1. Yes. 2. No because I repress my latent homosexual tendencies. 3. No because I have a small penis. -
Thanks for reminding me, today is my parents' 31st anniversary. I just called my dad.

At $1000 per inch, I'd donate!

With your new main, or a rented one? Oh yeah, and congrats.

You may find yourself holding on to the new one quite a bit if your wife doesn't like the idea of having some random dudes cock inside her.

No more Relative Workshop...

Or maybe "2B Continued" -
I don't know if you meant it this way, but I read your "YES" in his John Madden voice. Back on topic: I like to consider myself not ignorant about Islam (my minor was in Cultural Anthropology, concentrating on Middle Eastern Studies). I found the photo hilarious. Admittedly my sense of humor tends to be pretty twisted, but it's certainly not limited to things I'm ignorant about.

(psssst.....foreign people smell funny. pass it on)
-
You don't happen to have any new foreign interns, do you?
-
Man, you really do like that recipe, huh? That's the same one you pitched to me at the DZ! BTW, I stilll haven't tried it, despite the fact that I pretty routinely keep all the ingredients. I'll work on that.

What if it's meat pudding?

Who is negligent for poor gear rental?
Lindercles replied to justnalias's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
That's what I was thinking. The original post said the jumper had 20 jumps. I don't know what country they're jumping in, but USPA requires 25 jumps for the A. So it's possible they weren't licensed yet. In which case, does that make a difference in anyone's opinion? -

Two questions: One to the OP, you said the jumper was "off student status" but was the jumper licensed? One to everyone else, do you think it matters if the jumper was licensed? -
Athena aroused Pan with one hand while secretly signaling Ares to prepare his blade.

There may be some wiggle room, I'm not sure. But at least a good percentage of the time it's the visiting team's officials. When Ohio State came to Texas a couple weeks ago they brought Big Ten officials with them.
-
Incidentally, it's custom in college football that in interconference play the visiting team brings their officials with them. The PAC 10 is the only conference that doesn't adhere to that custom. If a PAC 10 team is playing, PAC 10 officials are officiating.

You did, but you posted yours a few seconds before mine and I didn't see it. You're right about bad calls. They happen. They happen to everyone. But very rarely are they so blatant, so numerous, so directly affect the outcome of the game, and made by so many different people at the same time. Particularly in cases like this where the rule is cut and dry, with no grey area like so many other rules. And yet every official on the field missed it, and so did the replay official. Twice.
-
They wouldn't have been in what situation? Up by 13 points with 1:10 to go? The bottom line is the referees made bad calls that directly affected the outcome of the game.
-
Yeah, I was going to post that as well. John Fitzgerald (quarterback for Austin's AFL team, the Wranglers) called into the local radio station this morning and made the point that those calls may well have cost Oklahoma a BCS bid, in which case the referees just took 12-15 million dollars away from Oklahoma.

It's the same feeling I get wandering around Sears wondering what happened to Roebuck.

Dude, he teabagged your D-bag. He put his flap on your flaps. He did unPC things to your PC. He put his sack on your hackey. He put the hard in your housings. Get my drift? Don't pretend like you've never thought about sticking your cock in your BOC!

How about if I write Icon? Did you see that?

Spain's Policy on Runway Models - Good or Bad
Lindercles replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
This statement is the key. At the risk of pushing this into SC, provided that the ultimate decision was made by the show organizers I have no problem with it. It's their show, they can do what they want. However, despite the fact that I agree with the intent, I would have a problem with the government themselves enacting such a ban on the that basis. It reeks of discrimination. The argument could certainly be made that the current state of fashion is discriminatory as well, but the difference is the decisions are made by the people involved, not by the government. But then again I really don't know anything about how Spanish government works, so I could be way off. -
Lately I've been getting ads in the Bonfire for Panic Attacks and Stress Management.
