the part about the "helper" from behind who yanks the door in an effort assist.......caught my attention... That is sometimes, part of the "door freak-out" which seems to occur whenever the first light comes on HURYY!!! HURRY! HURRY! HURRY!!!! and DOOOOOOR!!!!!!!!!! and the usual accompanying 'hysteria' from some..... people need to chill out.... unless you're @ 2 grand and the wing just fell off...... RELAX..... whoever is spotting,, or else the floaters for the requisite 'first out' belly-way, can quite capably raise the door,, ( in an orderly fashion,,,,) especially if they fly those slots regularly.... i know that people like to help,,, but there is plenty of time, especially if you have a saavy pilot, who ALLOWS 5 or 6 seconds before giving the Green... Sorry for your hand... tough lesson... AND it's true,, there's often NOT alot of room between the aluminum frame members and the floater bar... The door should be "eased open" and not THROWN open, AND it needs to go all the way UP,, so that the Bottom frame members are NOT still close to the floater bar.. if the spotter or floaters are too busy to check on that,,,,,,THEN the first inside divers, could assume that job,,, and ease the door all the way to the stops...

actually it wasn't so bad the suit got cleaned,,, and Altimaster took the old one in trade for a new Galaxy, giving me 50 $$$ credit...( i got a neat BLUE one..) plus they sent me a cool t shirt...for free.. plus i learned a lesson.. and never did THAT again... Plus... NObody got hurt...

it is Fair and Proper. that these perpetrators at SOME point be exposed, and made to pay the consequences of their misdeeds... It's amazing to think that so FEW of them are ever charged, and taken to justice...by the HigherUps within their own local churches... some of the reason for that could very well be the Archaic, but stoutly adhered to, policy of catholicism, which creates some sort of perverted 'confidentiality' from within the Confessional Booth... For Example,,, a priest goes down a path of misbehavior,, crosses the line into sexual misdeeds, becomes a multiple offender, negatively impacting the lives of many innocents... and THEN.... enters the Confession Booth, when his Superior is the one hearing confessions... NOW under circumstances which are better, and Cheaper than hiring the Best attorneys in the land... They simply "spill their guts" to the superior, admitting their "indiscretions"... and BINGO!!! NOW because of this bond of silence.. the superior CANNOT divulge anything of the session, and cannot initiate disciplinary action against the creeps....and you can believe that many many old time priests would never betray that "trust"... regardless of the crime... ( especially if they TOO had a few skeletons in their own closets ) some system..... anyway that's just My take on it.... jt

Sure our country thrives on satire, and current events parody... but SNL is NOT the proper platform for someone who is 'courting the favor' of the electorate... instead she ought to be responding to requests for serious interviews, by probing and professional newspersons.... idolize is the wrong word... but there is reason to have some degree of respect for anyone with convictions that are strong. So strong, that those convictions result in serious risk taking and serious, 'demonstration' , in order to bring to the forefront, governmental lies, deception, corruption and (dare i say it ) conspiracies...... Funny that the very issues , which fostered such rebelious behavior, and which continues to foster at the least some of the current dissention...which runs deep within our society, has led us to the very brink of disaster.. Financialy , socially , and environmentally. Issues like financial manipulation, greed on wall street, brainwashing of the general public, to pour their meager savings into IRAs 401Ks. mutual funds REITs etc...and then have those savings bleed away to a fraction of the original value.... The 'working man' in this country, on whose back this nation was built, has been hoodwinked into "investing for the future", and was assured that our savings would grow, and we'd all be secure... has in fact been ripped off by the big shot money men and reckless politicians who were charged with the responsibility of maintaining some sort of order within our capitalistic society... How sad that THAT hasn't worked out as promised....Those in charge have allowed themselves to become so distracted ( the Iraq-shun Distraction for example) as to let things crumble they way they have... a good way to figure out "where you WANT to go" is to always keep track of "where you ARE" before you get in the plane, be sure that you know the direction that the aircraft will be flying while on jumprun.. uderstand the current wind Speed, so that you can pre determine whether you'll be near the DZ ( Lower winds ) or faaar away from the DZ ( faster winds ). Factor in where you'll be , in the exit order, to figure out, relative proximity to the DZ when you open... If you're in a plane which allows for you to Look Out the windows,,,, then it's a bit easier to monitor where you are in the sky,, during any portion of the climb to altitude... .... even in the event of an unintentional emergency exit, you should have a rough idea of where you are ,,, at the time that you leave the plane... Most places fly big circles while climbing. and like popsjumper rightly points out. the location of the sun, relative to the jumprun direction and exit point, WILLL serve as a beacon to steer you towards home.. remember that conditions can change, even during the course of the day.. while you're on the ground take some time to watch loads, as they come accross and exit... adhere to the landing direction which has been established, and in light and variable winds,, never be shy to DISCUSS the landing direction with others on the load, while you wait in the boarding area...
