I'm 4 foot 17........ and have found that at least i can stand straight Up in an otter,,,,,and being in a cessna is lots easier than it is,,, for those over 6 feet tall... the tough part is while you're using student gear... it's been that way now, for years,, ever since the Ronco Buttoneer and all those junky excersize machines and the suzanne somers 'thigh master'.... if you can swear that you saw, live and in person... a dzo dispatching 2 static line students, seated in the door, AT a TIME, same pass wearing 'direct bag T - 10 rigs',, that the dzo made Himself,, one pass after another, without a wind streamer from a DeHavilland Beaver, with the radial engine chugging, while said DZO is IN the pilot seat... with a load of 10 static lines and One JM... who had Maybe 95 jumps, himself, while the ceiling was down to 2,600 feet, and dropping , and an 8 way "attempt" was dirt diving in the boarding area....

certainly meant NO disparagement to your home DZ... only made my suggestion based on your proximity to NY and the fact that maybe a bigger aircraft would make the climb to altitude more fun, the climbout easier, and that the higher exit altitude could result in more 'airtime' per jump, allowing for the very 'relaxed form' recommended by others. skydive softly, skydive often, skydive with friends jmy

my son whose home visiting from college for the weekend..... Just headed out " to the local bar scene" and his OLD Man... is reading in the forums.. BORED????? you gotta be kidding!!!! thank you , for your answer.... where do your brothers live?? are they older or younger than you...? as for cost of living.... granted... less.... just like WAGES were... i worked LOTS and LOTS of double shifts, and 12 hour shifts....and while in colllege ALWAYs worked weekend nights....and ALWAYS worked in some way @ the DZ,,,, everything from mowing the lawn along the runway, to packing, to working with students... as for 'investing' being work.... No doubt... only THAT shit can give you ulcers.... or so i've been told... where did the start-up capital ?? come from?? Monetary Christmas presents?? birthday Gifts?? out of thin air???? .. aw hell.. doesn't really matter... Bad enough to have to ride this Dow-Debacle in our IRAs and 401ks etc etc. I would sure NOT want to be counting on the Market uncertainty, to generate MY week to week income... Re: leveling with parents about your being a skydiver.... I knew this kid who was in his early 20s or so,,,,,,,must have been in the late 70's early 80's gooood skydiver, been jumping for years.... fun to jump with , safe,,, careful,,, had about 800 jumps or so... and he's heading back to Philly,, where he lives, and so I say,, "hey man if i'm down that way,, how can i get a hold of you"?? and he says " well you can call my parents house" ..
