.... it seems that the soldiers "get it". the guys who are literally "in the trenches" and who can see the horror and death,,, right NEXT to them.... THEY get it... problem is and has always been..... Those who DECLARE war...... don't have to go out there, THEMselves and slug it out...( as evidenced here, by the behind the scenes generals....... Not being happy about the truce.) they send the soldiers instead.....problem is,,,, Dead is Dead,,,, and just killiing soldiers from the 'other side' does little more than build further animosity and hate, and NOTHING good comes of it... i always thought that wars should involve the chosen Leaders of the disputing countries, or tribes or states, or whatever... in a One -on-One. man to man contest.... of whatever chosen type.....ideally the more civil, the better..... Have a couple of High and Mighty world leaders take some REAL shots.... lose a limb or two, face debilitating and lifelong trauma..... and MAYBE,, there can be a start to some sort of compromise and ability to work together.. perhaps a swoop contest,,,,or an accuracy meet instead of war... work for peace ,, peacefully. jt

.... as the Don pointed out.... best to keep that gas tank at least half Full... whenever it is bitter cold... to avoid fuel line problems... i tell my kids, to top off the tank when it gets below a half.... ( no charge for the fatherly advice) tough time of the year... Dark,,, AND cold.. hey well at least the amount of daylight is NOW on the increase each day... soon we'll be skydiving at 9 pm again..... love those summer time sunset loads... jimmy

sure... Kingers 1000th jump... mid 70's DeHavilland beaver.. radial engine... had some kinda problem... engine oil,,,,, all over the windshield @ 3000 feet.... no real big deal.... we all just Got Out. pretty orderly. didn't land with it. Only time that i was ever in an "aircraft emergency".... not bad.... considering all the lifts i've been on over the years... ONLY saw two other emergencies from the ground, while at the DZ... Hmmm They both,,,, ALSO were with deHavilland beavers....Loooong time ago... Must be ... NEWER planes,,,, are SAFER jt

i would spend one month each visiting Europe , Asia, Africa, South America and Australia... not sure just where i'd go... But Nancy has always wanted to travel all over the world,,,so she would Know... and I'm always busy working and "saving" for that rainy day....... ... which If there 's only 5 months left.... then..... baby it's rainin'...!!! so pack the bags...

the DRINK...had made him sluggish, and not as tuned in as he could have been..... THAT was the start of the change... and what a change it had been these these past 4 years....Sober, sane, yet confused and without direction.........he yearned for a path to follow....
