    Chambersburgers aren't picky with regards to beer... free and cold is really all that matters. Yingling seems to get downed the quickest. The pilot and a few others prefer Corona, but even Peels has been known to be consumed. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

    Chambersburg, of course Nice mid-sized DZ, king air, incredibly wonderful people to jump with (yeah, so I'm biased). Bunk house and plenty of room to camp. Maytown is the home of handsome Dave Dewolf, they usually have 2 cessna's flying... small DZ, but a lot of fun to jump at. That Skydivin' Place in Kingsdale has very limited hours, weekends only and not even every weekend, one cessna as far as I know. The owner is training for 4 way and so the DZ is only open sporadically. He's a great guy though. Although I've never jumped there, I've jumped with him and have learned a lot from him.     Yep, I read them. If you read through all of them, it seems to be a dose dependent thing, particularly the research article that I attached on there. I never said it was the cause, or the only cause. I'm not an entymologist... I just live in a rural area where this is a very big deal so it's constantly in the papers and news out here.     From what I have read, the leading theory is that a widely used insecticide is causing the problem (imagine that, an insecticide killing bugs!). In high doses it kills the bees, in low doses it screws up their directionality system so they can't make the mental maps of where their hive and food sources are, they basically get lost.     Hi Steve... I'm confused.... I sent you a check at the end of April. You emailed me on May 7 saying that you had received a check and you included a higher resolution copy of the sketch with that email. The check was cashed on May 9, according to my bank. I still have the email from you if you'd like me to forward it. My email address has not changed, it is still peregrinerose@comcast.net Edited to add... Steve, I just forwarded an email with most of our correspondance to you (email), including your statement that you had received the check.     I agree with this, but I see the TM (whether his father or not) who encourages his behavior as the bigger problem. If the TM has thousands of jumps and multiple ratings and is teaching that flying directly under a tandem is acceptable to a newer jumper, he's just as much at fault. Jarrett has to choose between listening to the TM that flies with him or listening to a bunch of people posting on the internet... how many times have we all said to listen to instructors that you fly with rather than people hundreds/thousands of miles away to various posters in other situations? Unfortunately in this case, the in-person instructor appears to be giving very poor advice (at least according to Jarrett since the TM isn't posting here as far as we know).     Does Jarrett understand that in addition to the safety issues and arrogance he displays, he is to some degree representing his DZ? I wouldn't jump there knowing that this kind of behavior is condoned. If I knew of anyone even considering a tandem in that neck of the woods, I'd be damn sure that they didn't go to his DZ given his attitude as well as the fact that the TM appears to be allowing it to continue. There are only a couple of people I can think of that I do not feel safe on a plane with. And all of them share the traits of arrogance and not listening to those with more experience.     Tell that to the student that I watched bounce after a low turn and no flare to butt landing and spent six months healing from 2 compression fractures in his spine. And his low turn was not all that radical, he just didn't have the experience to pull out of it, panicked seeing the ground that close that fast, and had almost no flare.
