    Just talked with my aunt, his friend, again. She passed along your email and phone. He's actually looking forward to the interview. She went on vacation with him last year and he spent over 2 hours talking about the skydive as well as his time as a POW. She said he was fascinating to listen to. Should make for a great interview.     I have no idea how many freeflyers will be there, same with belly flyers or anything else Is it even possible to predict that? I do know that a group from Delmarva is coming, and they have some freeflyers. There's a group from Orange, some from West Point, some from Maytown. Given the number of people that should show up, in theory you should have others to jump with. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

    Keep dogs on leashes and clean up after them. Keep pets away from packing areas. That's about it. We'll have our 3 dogs there the whole weekend, just like we do every weekend

    I'm doing medifast, which is 850-1000 calories a day and 80-100g of carbs. Started about 2 months ago, and have lost a total of 19.5 lbs (can I round that up to 20???) Started: 155.5 Today: 136.0 Goal: 125 I was a lazy ass about working out this week, only went twice, but looks like it's going to be a BUSY weekend at the DZ, so I'll be busting my ass packing. Last weekend I celebrated my weight loss by demoing a smaller canopy (sabre2 135), damn that was fun!!! Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

    Congrats on your tandems! Once you sit through an AFF course and the training is beaten into your head during that first jump course as well as subsequent training/jumps, you do get to feel more comfortable with your ability to react to problems and the manageability of skydiving. It's just like anything else... the unknown is a frightening thing. AFF is designed to take skydiving from the 'unknown' to the 'known' and you'd be surprised how reassuring that is. I am still just a little nervous before every skydive, but that's okay. I love jumping and the friends I've made in this sport. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

    If you truly want to afford to jump, make it possible for yourself. I've been a packer for 3 years now so that I can afford to make 200+ jumps a year plus buy new gear and travel to boogies and take a riggers' course and get my AFF rating. Now that I have an instructional rating, I have that to help make it more affordable. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

    You said your experiences were MANY DZ's, including PA. If you are coming to PA, get to Chambersburg. You can't spit without hitting a coach here. Most of the AFF instructors and coaches are not TMs. Depending on what you need, you may not have to pay for a coaching jump. But why don't you have a license yet, with 40 jumps?     My finger looked the same way a few weeks ago. Didn't go to the hospital. Mine did get mildly infected, but cleared up in a couple of days. It was fun watching the pus ooze out though. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

    Well, I've done 100++ jumps this year so far, got my AFF rating, my D license, and 500 jumps all within the last two weeks. Also paid off my student loans to my new Javelin will be ordered in the next couple of weeks too. It's been a GREAT skydiving year so far! Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

    I have a dragon around my left ankle, and my upper right arm is a sleeve of a phoenix (asian style, clouds, forget-me-not flowers, closing pin shape worked into the clouds). Next is my right shoulder, going to be a dragonfly with a waterfall and some wildflowers, very large. My tattoos reflect me well, they are easy to cover if I chose to do so (like at work), but easy to show off when I want to as well
