I'm making a small film for a project, and kinda need a video camera. I'm on a really tight budget, so need help and tips (please!) on getting the best bang I can for my buck. Second hand / ebay etc are no problem, I don't mind using those kind of resources. I've got my eye on a Canon MV1 (currently list price £115.00), is this camera any good? Has anyone used one? Ideally I'd like to get a Mini-DV camera to make editing easier and quality best, but it's no big issue as one of our guys can convert pretty much any format to digital anyway. I'd like it to give as clear (think TV-like?) picture as possible! ;) Alternatively has anyone got an old camera that just about fits these criteria they would want to sell me? I can cough up about £150 or £160 ($280/$300) at most, though obviously the less the better! Thanks in advance!

I'm inclined to agree on this point. There are two possible outcomes from legalising the lot; one is a nation full of junkies. Two is a little brighter: IMO, part of the social evironment that makes people decide to take a drug, try a new thing etc is the legal side of it. The challenge of getting away with it. Ever have a cigarette when you were 14 because your mates were doing it and it was 'naughty' ? Plus other people around you doing it. By legalising them, you take this factor away. You also have the option of stricter control - it ruins the illegal drugs import industry (to an extent), gets tax and money for rehab centres, enables users to get clean needles whenever, and generally takes away that magic 'naughty' factor. Look at legalised cannabis over in Amsterdam. They don't have a nation full of stoned people. They have a thriving economy with a huge base of professionals. People smoke occasionally to relax (with the odd exception of course), it's controlled and used sensibly. So from my angle, I'd see this as a good thing. I still wouldnt ever touch hard drugs, mind! Okay, thanks. I just followed the links in the files to the original link posted at the top of the page. It isn't streaming.. just the browser software interprets it as that and plays it as it loads. I just followed the internal links to the source download and got that file directly. You've probably found a much higher quality version, so that sounds good to me.
