*briiing* HW: Hello? M: Er, good afternoon madam. I'm from the vaginal inspection agency. We're doing door-to-door examinations to check for suspicious homeless people. HW: Umm... yes... M: Would it be possible to have a few moments of your time? HW: I guess so.. come on in. M: Thankyou. M: Right. Now, all I need to do is a simple inspection. Is that okay with you ? HW: Go ahead. My husband wont mind, anyway. M: Okay. Now, if you could just lie down on the floor just there, spread your legs a little, and relax. HW: Ooooh, that tickles! M: Just hold still for me a moment.. M: Hmm.. I think we've found something. HW: What??! M: Well.. it appears to be a tramp. HW: HUH? How did that get there? M: There has been a spate of homeless people seeking shelter recently. We believe they have been taking refuge. HW: Er, so it wasnt my husband's idea of kinky foreplay then? M: No madam, that's unlikely. M: It's a man! HW: Wow, can I keep it? M: No, he must be returned to his natural environment. HW: Aww. Okay. T: How fcuking DARE you! Just as I was getting comfy! H: Well.. I'll be damned.. Sorry.. couldn't resist. Yeah chewing (gum) loudly or with mouth open kinda gets to me. I know it shouldn't as so many people do.. have to train myself to ignore it more Also people who are in a smoking area with proper smoking bins to put the cigarettes in after use, who still drop them on the ground. I always throw mine away where possible 'buttplugs? where?' - geno

I have no problem with that.. patriotism (sp?) is a good thing, having pride and respect for your country. But at the same time, I do believe that news reporters should provide an un-biased and impartial view of the world's news, providing facts and not fiction.. I do agree that the BBC attacked this from a personal angle - the BBC as an entity itself dug it's fingers in over this situation.. however, from watching the BBC news reports of it, it was still shown in an impartial light. And as far as I know, the director general of the BBC has resigned over the issue, showing that he does realise there were issues with the way they acted over it. But hey, this is media, right? News or not, I guess they still want to get most viewers. From what I can tell of Fox, they target their news at a certain audience (perhaps not those who read the FT/wallstreet journal?) - in an attempt to get most viewers. That's understandable.. although I do have issues with the way they tailor the news content to suit this approach. Perhaps I'm being a 'dumb brit'?? 'buttplugs? where?' - geno
-
Did wonder.. I take it that's some part of the program where the newsreader/presenter doesn't have to be impartial and expresses their own views upon the nation? 'buttplugs? where?' - geno

Don't think this has been posted; apologies if it has - did a search with no relevant results.. http://blugg.com/stuff/foxs_view_of_the_bbc_player.htm Not quite sure what to make of this. It's certainly interesting to see it from another perspective though.. all to easy to get used to seeing an event the way you see something yourself and disregard how others view it. So I ask now; how do you Americans view this? And your impression of the BBC? Hmm.. 'buttplugs? where?' - geno

ROFL, at last, something religious that made me laugh too! 'buttplugs? where?' - geno

I'm a baptised Catholic also, although not currently practicing. I think the key issue with religion is individuality; it doesn't have to be a strict following to a set of rules or ways of life - unless you want it to. For me, my religion - 'my' God - is totally personal. I have a communication and peace with that presence, but because it's personal to me I "worship" (if thats the word that's appropriate) in the way that suits me. If you feel you have to spread the word and evangelise, that's okay - but it simply doesn't suit a lot of people. At the end of the day, religion isn't so much about attaining a level of acceptance in the eyes of others (and God) - instead, it's a guideline of how to live a good life. How to be respectful and kind to others, and treat people in a way that's fair and hopefully encourages them to act the same way to others. God, church, prayers, whatever - if you can manage that you're doing a darn sight better than me - and good luck to you! Well, that's how I see it anyway - but as I say - it's personal, everyone has their own interpretation.. and that's great!

I agree with you wholeheartedly on that one. Sounds like you guys got a bit of a situation. So let me get this straight - with the exception of films, ANY swearing of those kinds, nudity etc is a serious no-no? Christ, bit of a sorry state of affairs Would be strange to hear the stand up comedians here in the UK pull off a show without some references to those things 'buttplugs? where?' - geno

Hmm, I dont think it's fair to use airline food as an apt gauge of the quality of British food. It's traditionally crap, and anyone will admit that. You evidently haven't been to a nice restaurant, or cooked yourself a meal with beautiful freshly-caught local fish.. or a multitude of other things. Just because bland curries that are too hot to taste are strangely popular over here, doesn't mean that's the best it gets. Nor the food on some budget airline. /rant 'buttplugs? where?' - geno

Hey, I've just cooked myself a real nice big bowl of chinese style rice, chicken, noodles, cashew nuts and spices. Oh, er, I see your point.. And perhaps you mean British Cuisine 'buttplugs? where?' - geno

FLAT-PACK FURNATURE! Argh dear GOD, I've just spent the best part of 3 hours hammering, duck-taping, and generally attacking a metal bed frame. All the wooden slats were different sizes, un-smoothed, bent washers, warped metal.. no refunds! I think it's about time we came down hard on these malasian 'designers' and flat-pack THEM! Am I alone in flatpacked anguish or do you feel my pain?! 'buttplugs? where?' - geno

Alright for some, after 11pm here (UK) the cops can pull you over without any reason at all, for a 'spot check'. Probably a good idea. -

I host a load of sites, from personal ones to sites for customers. I used to use a variety of services from pay-per-month to 'unlimited bandwidth' deals - these are usually good if you don't know initially how much b/w you're going to use and aren't after lots of bells and whistles. I run a server business now though, so host them in-house on a nice fast line. It's cheaper this way if you have a LOT of sites, and also gives you complete control over the settings as you set the server up how you like it, and have pretty much unlimited options on languages, features, backend coding etc. Not a cheap option if you're only hosting one or two sites though.. I pay around £200 a month per server hosted on this line 'buttplugs? where?' - geno
