I took stats as well, and in theory I understand the sampling size. In practice I don't honestly beleive that such a small sample works out. I saw this in practice when it came to 'guessing' our demographics, ratings and marketing rates while in radio. There is to much BS and spin on the way they use the sampling that makes it hard to believe. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I have a hard time believing that a sample of 1105 point of views is a large enough sample to know how a few million people feel. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/03/13/bush.poll/index.html It's good to see more and more Americans coming to their senses. I've been saying from day one that a man who has failed just about every business he has ever touched, should not be allowed to lay his hands on this country. He is a screw up. I do appreciate the fact that as an American citizen I at least have the right to say that. That wouldn't fly far back when I was living in the USSR. Pretty sure it won't be better with the next President either. There is something wrong when someone wants to be President that bad. The good politicians that look out for the people they represent are far and few between. Those in DC play too many games and it's more about their perceived reputation than doing what is needed. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I still love that movie and watched it this weekend yet again. Rotoscoping to that extent had never been done before Tron. I loved playing the arcade game (esp the light cycle) with the hybrid controls and the Intellivision "Discs of Tron." The movie graphics were far better than anything that was on the market at the time. Most arcade games were 8bit and 16 colors while home systems like C64, Atari 2600, Vectrex were far lesser technology. The in movie glow FX were created by people tracing the colors onto every single frame of the movie. There has been talk for nearly the last ten years to either remake Tron or to create a sequel. The Tron v2.0 video game was the product of all that research and talk. Since the game didn't draw as much attention as they thought, the idea of a sequel has been put on the back burner. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... 1,1,1,?1:0:0 1 year older 1 parade marched in 1 friend announcing to the group he just found out he is going to be a dad ? amount of booze consumed celebrating so many things. 1 very hung over Sunday (note - playing Xbox360 on a 100 inch TV isn't a good idea with a weak stomach - vertigo happens quick!) no jumps or anything like that - but it was nice wearing short sleeve shirt in the middle of march! _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Are you a member of my karass? Don't be a fool! Close this book at once! It is nothing but foma! If I were a younger man, I would write a history of human stupidity; and I would climb to the top of Mount McCabe and lie down on my back with my history for a pillow; and I would take from the ground some of the blue-white poison that makes statues of men; and I would make a statue of myself, lying on my back, grinning horribly, and thumbing my nose at You Know Who. All cars are a money sink. Some more than others. It has been known for some time that the cost savings from a Hybrid may not be there for years, possibly 10 years. My reserach on autos is a bit old from a couple years ago. But even then I remember finding info claiming tweaks to cars, esp SUVs, that would increase their green factor but due to big corp BS that won't happen. Also, there are many that believe GW pushes the use of Hydrogen cell cars because it will keep the oil companies happy since we will still need them to produce that fuel source. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... with all those lies he seems to fit in with the rest of the DC crowd or maybe CEO of a large organization qualifications aside - bush lied, his admin spun the blame onto someone else. I want the same treatment that Brown got to be handed to the administration now. seems Brown did his job: Video footage of the Aug. 28 briefing, the final one before Katrina struck, showed an intense Brown voicing concerns from the government’s disaster operation center and imploring colleagues to do whatever was necessary to help victims. “We’re going to need everything that we can possibly muster, not only in this state and in the region, but the nation, to respond to this event,” Brown warned. He called the storm “a bad one, a big one” and implored federal agencies to cut through red tape to help people, bending rules if necessary. “Go ahead and do it,” Brown said. “I’ll figure out some way to justify it. ... Just let them yell at me.” He even warned against using the Superdome. Politics at it's finest. They lie and let people die. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

Guess this whole thing shows how an administration will use someone else as the scapegoat. Seems to me that maybe Brown didn't deserve the linching he got. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

....politician for example: Bush declared four days after the storm, “I don’t think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees” that gushed deadly floodwaters into New Orleans. But the transcripts and video show there was plenty of talk about that possibility — and Bush was worried too _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I don't understand why this would be an issue. The media would and special interest groups would hype the spin...but hopefully after a while the track record of the Republicans and her platform would be what matters. lol wow, I actually got that out without laughing. Maybe you are right, this would be a good move. There is no long term memory, people DO believe the media hype and no one cares about the issues. Politics is the 4 year version of reality TV. Maybe Simon from American Idol can run the presidential debates. This could be a move from Karl Rove. Apparently he has voiced that Cheeny needs to retire this year and that Mrs Clinton is their biggest threat (and has started working to spin against her). _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Someone isn't even allowed to come the pro-abortion side unless they do it for your reasons? Where in my single sentence reply did you come up with that line of BS? I've never given my opinon on this toic as it doesn't have an impact on my life. Nor could I fully understand all of the emotional issues since I am not a woman. This whole topic is strongly laced with religous opinions. I never said it was wrong for these folk to hold their point of view or talk about the topic. If they don't want an abortion, then they shouldn't get one. However, their opinion should not be enforced upon others that do not hold the same beliefs. I don't really care about too many of the other points in this heated argument. Nor do I try to bother holding an argument on this topic. It seems that most make a choice connected to their personal belief system and never change their POV....unless they get an abortion or need one. So, the very simple thing for me is this: It's not my body, therefore I can't tell someone what to do with it. Nor do I want my government doing the same thing. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

More to the point, it is ridiculous to legislate the inner workings of anyone's body. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

When I first saw it, I made the comment: God, that sounds like liquid hell in a can. Then I tried it. Very good in the diet form. Makes for some new tastes when mixed with booze. I don't understand Coke Zero. It seems just like diet coke to me. And can someone explain to me why the bar I recently went to tried to sell me Coke/Cuervo Black as a good drink? _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... The City parade is always the Saturday before St Pats unless the holiday falls on a Saturday. The South Side Irish Parade is always the Sunday before St. Pats unless the holiday falls on a Sunday. The two parades will be on the 11th and 12th this year. We tend to party both weekends and every popular Irish pub will be busy. The downtown parade is in Grant Park. I'll most likely be on one of the first floats again this year (just like the last 10 years). It's an incredible view of the city and some people stay down and party afterwards. The tough part of this is that the parade is far away from everything and it's a hike back to any bar. Usually we do the march and go right to the bar. Not sure what we are doing this year as our place to party closed today after 103 years (yea, we went to a German bar after the parade) The South Side parade has a different feel and tends to be where you go to meet up with everyone you grew up with, went to school with, etc. The parade route is on Western Ave along the Beverly Crawl where there are 11 Irish Bars. Drinking tends to start about 10am that Sunday. Metromix will have a good listing of Irish Bars on their site any day now. Depending on what you are looking for, there are different types. From Bourbon Street, QUigleys and the Beverly Crawl on the South Side.....to Emmits, Fado, the Abbey and others closer to downtown. Just a note. St Pat's parade is almost always freezing cold. It doesn't matter how warm it is in the days prior....9/10 years it will be miserable. Be ready to dress for it. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

Nuclear Emergency Declared Near Chicago

Was this the plant near Morris or Ottawa? I've had a few friends and known a few people that have worked at all the I-80 power plants. From my understanding...they claim the hydrogen plants are a much bigger threat safety wise. Just how true is that? _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... -
I know a few local jumpers less than an hour away that would be kind enough to volunteer for test jumps ya know....just for the good of the plane.... _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....
