    And my two cents on this (yes I know everyone was afraid I'd skip this one ) A very small proportion of obese people are obese due to a medical condition. Most often it is the set of habits that are developed over many years. When better to start helping make better choices than before they become morbidly obese - hence the younger the better. I don't think this is an attack or statement on parenting abilities for everyone just an attempt to curb the next decade's epidemic.

    I can remember eons ago, being tested in elementary school for scoliosis, hearing, eyesight, and even those lice checks. These weren't selective tests, we were rounded up like cattle and processed through each station for the respective test. That was a very long time ago, I am not too shocked in an obese society a BMI test would be added to the gamut of tests. Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    Well this may be too overlysimplistic but how about the majority of BASE jumpers were skydivers first....and since (I am guessing here) the ratio of men to women skydivers is still high, the same general ratio might apply to BASE - just like a microcosm of a larger population.     If anone was able to watch the mayor on meet the press this morning it was quite enlightening. Especially ironic was his answers to the evacuation questions. He admitted the city had an evacuation plan using city and school busses. He claimed the problem was there were no drivers to drive the busses. When asked why is stated in the evac plans that the mayor was responsible for recruiting help during an evacuation he claimed no one wanted to stay behind for a cat 5 hurricane. When asked where the federal funds went that were appropriated for the evac (for trnasportation, supplies and security at the shelter), he said they were spent on evacuation resources. During one of his rants, he said he was inside the superdome shelter during the hurricane, experiencing the same conditions. Maybe I missed that video clip, but did anyone else see him in the superdome during the hurricane, not afterwards?? Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    Tell ya what, since the kids are allergic to cats, you can come get the little black snake that refuses to leave my house...damn near broke my leg trying to catch it the last time...for all you snakes reading DZ.com, if someone is poking you in the ass with a broom..MOVE AWAY IN THE DIRECTION OPPOSITE THE BROOM!!. I have no idea where it keeps hiding, but it is getting quite aggressive now that it is pretty hungry. Its all yours for the taking, come get it anytime!!     I once dumped a guy becasue we had religious differences...he thought he was God and I disagreed But seriously, sparing you my twisted religious beliefs, I won't discount the belief that God created life. It is a fact, however, that creatures today are not the same as they were many years ago. Did God create them then and they evolved-and if so, does that make today's being any less created by God- or did he create them yesterday or another arbitrary day? You can't plant a flower and get a dog, even after many centuries. (Some of us can plant a flower and not even get a flower) Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    I know that straight bleach will leave a dead spot for a while, but not sure about permanently..don't ask how I know this. I will tell you, while trying to grow grass I found that pH is very important to plants. So, maybe try a strong acid or strong base if commercial weed killer is not available. Just a thought, no guarantees! Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    There are times when it is a good thing you shared common interests and times when its a bad thing.
