    Glad I could help Just remember even though things seem bad now, think of the alternative in the long run. Think of your girls one day wanting to smoke like mommy and getting into the trap too. I promise it is now fun to watch someone you love more than life itself die a slow painful death over something as silly as cigarettes. Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    NO DONT DO IT ITS BAD Will clog your lungs with horrible things When your girls get older, they will have to watch you hack and wheeze justto breathe as you cough up huge fistfulls of fluid and must carry an oxygen tank around with you everywhere, unable to enjoy watching them grow up and being active wiith them, till one day you drown in a pool of fluid in your lungs, and they find you or worse watch you being helpless and waiting for the ambulandce to get there only to find out its too late. Then they will be put through immense pain and suffering making your final arangement, with their last memories of you as a heaving hacking person. Now then, is that cig still that appealing? If so I can go on..... Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    Heres a thought... To turn Valentines Day from a wretched, bitter reminder of our past trials..........into something you look forward to. Take valentines cookies to a nursing home Volunteer at an orphanage reading to children Have neices, nephews, friends children?....take them out for a day (park, zoo, whatever) and make it a tradition (and the parents might like this one as well) Volunteer for the day at a shelter Volunteer at a local Humane society/shelter if you like animals Pamper yourself all day Or just skydive all day! Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    OK What if you knew for certain the fetus was going to be a terrorist/Hitler, etc.? Could you kill it then, knowing it would save millions of lives?? I really don't think there is a right or a wrong answer...everyone has their choice to choose what they believe. That being said, is the right to choose what you do with your own body any different from the right to think and form your own opinions??? ~~~stirring the pot~~~ Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    I have to agree with Dave here. As an example I banged up my right hand pretty bad after I was cleared to solo (i was an AFF student). I was not sure I could throw out, much less cutaway, so I opted to do a tandem (yeah yeah I couldnt stand being on the ground).....but under canopy the TM was able to show me so much stuff that helped improve my control. I understood the concept of max/min sink and glide and such, but seeing and feeling it done correctly under canopy was the best help ever. Sure, I could have eventually figured it out on my own, but that would have taken many many more jumps. Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    Absolutely, but also there is something that can't quite be taught. The ability to 'read' people and personality types and combine that with the appropriate method of teaching for that type. THATS when teachers are most effective (imo). Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    I would just like to chime in a friendly reminder....jump numbers alone do not a good instructor make. Of course the basic knowledge and skills are there, but being an effective teacher encompasses quite a bit more. Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...
