    There is a small (as in not as big as a billboard) sign on the side of highway (on dz property). There is a thin treeline along the highway, but you can see the DZ, the runway actually parallels the highway, so the drivers get to see the planes and then the canopies that appear from 'nowhere'. I start getting antsy a few exits up ....are we there YET, then I see the plane or the jumpers, YUP were there! Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    Our DZ is adjacent to a MAJOR highway. I love seeing all the canopies open above while I am driving....I suppose a few people might just see those as well and get interested. (No traffic accidents that I know of to date due to our display either) Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    What a wild year! I do have to say, each jump was better than the last, starting from the first of the year snow jump to the last one at Eloy, each and every one had its own accomplishments, people, planes, and they were all very special. If there had to be only one most memorable, it would have to be the one I didn't walk away from. BUT, that was September and this is now, its a new year and I have some wonderful opportunities ahead!! FULL STEAM AHEAD!!!!!!!!!!! Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    I think we can all vouch for the lack of skydiving jewelry. I think it is not an outrageous amount for something nice. To have it uniquely personalized, makes it even more valuable. You saw my first closing pin necklace, that was $30. I myself would be willing to pay for something much cooler than the whuffos can pick up at the dz gear store, ya know? Ok I think I may be rambling again. PS. And if a certain someone feels the need to pick on my choice of necklace fibers, lol, we may have to reveal his knowledge of the loofas! Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    Hol, Here's my two cents, take it with a grain of salt... We meet many people on a daily basis. Some we get to know and some are just fleeting faces. I know when I see some people, there is an instant flash of something, not necessarilly an affectionate thing, just that inside I know there is something about that person that intrigues me. If I don't get to meet those people then my mind soemtimes runs wild wondering what it is about them, hence the subconscious taking over in sleep. The people I know well arent those that appear in the dreams, I think because I already know about them. Did that make any sense??? Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    Found it! ROFL, I'm nt crazy I did look everywhere......confirmed by the fact it turned up......In Nashville, TN!! I guess I thought I was putting it in my overnight bag....when it was in fact the bag that belonged to my very bestest friend who came out to be with me during the surgery. Its on its way back home.....thank god....I thought I lost my mind! Thanks you guys for the help! Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

    LOL Actually YES I had 3 minutes to make it through security on the way back from the boogie. I made my special olympics dash through the building and tossed my carryons onto the belt, dug into my pockets and tossed out everything into a tray. I ran through the buzzer thingy and on the other side, noticed I had left a pile of change and a rainbow of neon pull up cords, didn't seem odd at all to me, the security people however, well, I got some looks.
