  1. It already has the J-MOD.
  2. You were reading my mind I looked over their site a few days ago. I am gonna look up shipping and all that.
  3. It was just a off the cuff idea I was wondering about. You leave the sport first.
  4. Well fighter pilots pull 9.0+ G's. that cuts down the time needed to stop compared to 1G.
  5. I come up with ideas like this alot lol. Come on what do ya think could it ever work?
  6. Ok I have been trying to think of ways that you can survive TOTAL mals. I am talking nothing out main or reserve. In my perfect scenario a person still could track and fall stable. Ok here is what I had in mind. You know the big air bags that stunt men jump off of objects on, and the huge pits of chunked foam that people jump into, and practice dirtbike freestyle tricks into. I was wondering if you had all the money for this project that you could build a 100'X100' foam pit that you would be able track over and fall into. I know that it would have to slow you down gradually, so maybe you would have different densities of foam and layer it in a way that you would slow down at a reasonable rate. If need be there could be a inflatable bag under the foam as the "final stage" of deceleration. Is 100'X100' a reasonable size target to land on? I know at pull altitude it seems that you are directly over the DZ, but could you really land into a pit of that size? I have no clue how tall this pit would have to be to hold the different layers of foam and bag, but it could be protected from the elements by having a waterproof canvas on the top that would rip away as you fall into the pit. There also would be the thought of if you have to fall into so much foam that you might suffocate. In that case there would be a quick way to get someone out of the pit. Even if you did pass out for a few minutes until someone got to you the chances of living without air for a few minutes would be alot better than 130 mph into the ground. Anyone that has heard of the same thought, or might know if it will work or any problems that would need to be addressed would be a help to me getting over this. Like I said you would have all the money, would be able to fly yourself over the area, and no I am not on narcotics or drugs
  7. I was thinking the whole load(2 or 3 jumpers) of a small jump plane.
  8. What about use the whole dive tracking towards the dz and open at a good spot?
  9. Lol its not a big deal for 6 mo. I just did not want to miss out on something I should have done. Sounds like a day of going to tuesday mornings, movies and dinner. That is what she loves to do. Thanks guys!!
  10. Ok my 6 month anniversary Sunday, and I need to know what to get! I thought there was a rule about anniversaries, like 1 year diamond 2 years gold 3 years pearls or something like that. Is there a specific thing that has to be bought for a wife of 6 months. If not what would you women want for such an occasion? Thanks for all the help. This is a life or death type of situation my dad would say
  11. NOOOO that would never happen if it were another military
  12. Do you think there should be a minimum yearly number of jumps that you have to make to keep your level of license? Along with the regular 30/90/120 day currency that the bsrs say? I think so. I have abused the 30 day rule for months while my pocket book recovers from the AFF course and buying a rig. Every one of my currency jumps was a coach jump with a smiley thumbs up, get the hell outta here and go jump again you are back on your own from the instructors.
  13. congrats beer for his jump and beer for me that is the first time I have ever seen hair like that!
  14. My suit is huge to slow my fall rate Tony almost choked to death on his coffee when I told him my height, weight, and average fall rate of 143 belly to earth It has all the grippers, 2 knives, and inflatable "afterburners" which I can't wait to try. It is mesh sewn into the legs(small black rectangle in picture) that allow airflow into pouches in side the legs. And of course full length swoop cords. Order/Delivery time was 5 weeks.
  15. Ok so I got a new tony suit in the mail today. The swoop cord length comes long, anyone know how to measure how much to tie off?
  16. Everyone at the dz should give you a lick in your arm, then everyone that should have checked you should hit themselves.
  17. Thanks for all the help. I cannot contact paraflite regarding this rig they do not give advice to civilians regarding de militarized gear. All fcx said was 125$ for recalibrate, and 90 days waiting period. He would not give info on how to install it on this rig, he said to contact paraflite.
  18. We all know that dark colors absorb heat and light colors reflect heat. It seems that the color would have some effect on the life span of the canopy b/c of the amout of heat that it is exposed to while in the sun. IE: black canopy gets hotter in the sun than a white canopy.
  19. Can anyone post a few pictures of what a dual pin reserve connection looks like using a FXC 12000.
  20. You could make a good cap for a stereo system, or a A.E.D to shock peoples hearts back into rythem
  21. Yea I wanted to stay all night, but I had a 2.5 hour drive back to baton rouge. I will be there in 2 weeks hopefully my jumpsuit will have arrived by then.
  22. LMAO....but no aad no jumpieee
  23. It might be a "continuous loop" as you stated, that would be another way if only one pin came out it would still deploy the PC. I have never seen the reserve so I don't know.
