So, you'd pay the Blackmailer or pay the security firm.... um doesn't seem too much different in some respects....... Either way somebody bets paid for your fear. That is what we do within national borders. We pay for the authorities to provide police. If that is insufficient we hire private security, or buy insurance and they hire private security. In the international arena there is no authority so we can form an international authority (one world government here we come) or hire private security. After all why should an unemployed auto-worker in Detroit pay taxes to protect Saudi oil? They can provide there own security and include the price in their cost function. This will have the effect of justifying higher costs (wages) for domestic oil (or Alberta oil ) or for alternative energy sources.

"An ill wind that blowth no man to good." You cant blame the villagers for catering to those with the money.

I am not sure what John Riche is talking about.

Obama must respond to Writ of Certiorari by December 1

He was probably an Egyptian king, or maybe a movie star. I think he is the reincarnation of Haile Selassie, otherwise known as Ras Tafari Mekonnen. -
Do you know how an FXC works? There are no electronics inside to arm the thing, but the firing mechanism does lag, just like the rate of climb meter in the plane does. If the skydiver descends past the activation altitude before the air pressure inside the unit adjusts to the new, slower rate of descent, it will fire. This is why the instructions say to not set it less than X feet from intended opening (I forget what the figure is). If you were using one on the main I will guess that the intended opening altitude and the FXC firing altitude were quite close.

I think the feeling is that just as $145.00 was disproportionately speculator driven, so is the sub $70.00.
-
Or the shipping companies could hire their own security. A little something for those Blackwater types to do after Obama kicks them out of Iraq.
-
Here in Oil country folks are bracing for sub $40.00, but still expecting it to return to $70-$80 next year. Don't buy that 7.5L extended SUV just yet.

Yep, I'm thinking Hillary's peeps had a look. -
I am pretty sure even the most anal of FAA types will not venture down that road. PS the out of date Cypres will still work or else it will fail the self diagnostic; same with the batteries.

Fixed it for you. -
So what. You act according to your view of best practices within the regulatory framework of the day. If that framework changes that is not your problem. If you know of such a case you could notify that customer of the ramifications of the change wrt his/her situation, but at the end of the day it is not your responsibility. Your seal certifies that the pack left your loft appropriately serviced within the reg framework of the day, nothing more.

I can see them producing some deformed ivory producing factory creature in the near future.

I was serving in a full service french restaurant a long time ago. I gave exceptionally poor service to the owner of another restaurant in town. He tipped 15% to the penny on his credit card and left a penny tails up on the table. The message was unmistakable. "You got your tip, but you didn't earn it."

She resigned from the Bombardier board yesterday.
-
I like the tipping culture because it allows me to choose how much to pay my server. I tip well for very good service, I tip adequate for adequate (or inadequate but enthusiastic) service, and poorly for poor service.

OHHH, I get it now. The bible thumpers aren't saying that man walked the earth with dinosaurs. It's a prophesy.

I am not a lawyer but I don't believe the plaintiff gets to determine the rules of evidence in American civil courts. -

I'll get my hat. -
I don't fear it. Even as a judicial conservative I recognize that this is the purpose of the supreme court. It isn't even close. PS In my country the provincial appeal courts were slowly lining up, and no one was of any doubt which way the Fed supreme court was going to go when the Federal gov did the logical thing.

We found Airtwardo's dinosaur riding instructor. -
Actually the Indian Navy did just that yesterday. The reason brute force doesn't work is because like most criminals they hide in and amongst innocent people; They do not parade about on vessels displaying the skull and crossbones.

The law at that time said the mother in such a case must be at least 18 years of age, and she was only 17 at the time. This may be seen as a technicality, but it was nevertheless, the law. And the law should be respected and followed by someone who wants to be president. The law is never merely a technicality when the most powerful post on the planet is at stake. As I said this could provide amazing theatre. -
Yes it does matter to me. When the right fractured in Canada about 15 years ago the Reform Party was led by a born again Christian. I was very concerned about this until I had the opportunity to have lunch with him and he convinced me that although he used his faith for his moral compass, he was enough of a populist to recognize that on some issues he was offside his constituents' wishes, and would fulfill his duty to the people he worked for. Since then I have voted for a BA candidate who I later realized would not act in that fashion, and I now (tepidly) support a BA Prime Minister. I remain very tentative in my support.
