Two notes: 1. What could possibly be in Nebraska that would convince you to skip the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, Deadwood area of South Dakota. It is without question the most beautiful part of the lower forty eight. 2. Your map has you going down the I-5. It is a largely uneventful but efficient route from Vancouver to Tijuana. Try the US 101 instead.

I think this explains a lot. While people have been trashing this guy for not paying attention to the wisdom acquired by the experiences of those with more jumps than him, people refuse to entertain the notion that just maybe he can appreciate these things with less jumps than it took them. Maybe, just maybe, his ability is such that he can see possibilities at 94 jumps that they could not. In short, this guy obviously has,... MAD SKILLS.

Those are stunningly low numbers. There were 55 homicides in Greater Vancouver last year (Pop. ~2.2M) and our murder rate tends to be much lower than in the US.

I was referring to the abandonment of the republican party by many of its traditional supporters before the election, not after it. The swing of the Republican party toward religious conservatives has been going on a lot longer than 3 weeks. On the shortcomings of PR I agree.
-
A similar thing has happened to the Republican party lately.

It seems to me that the best policy is to not ask. Just do the research on the QT and then do what you want as long as it is not outside what is specifically prohibited.

Do you think a canopy courses should be required?
Andrewwhyte replied to JohnDeere's topic in Safety and Training
Either you are in the training business or you aren't. The nuts and bolts of a canopy course for all our students/novices is something we are working on. In the meantime we bring Brian Germaine in once a year. BTW We are a single Cessna DZ. -
Libertarianism is a sound platform to begin any analysis from. The problem is that too many Libertarians are as dogmatic as an Ayatollah. This is why Ron Paul gets nowhere. He has some great ideas but is completely unrealistic as to their implementation. This is true of any economic dogma. Economists, and more importantly, politicians discussing economics clung to Keynsian analysis for years after it became obvious that it was not relevant to the current situation. Now that Keynsian analysis is thoroughly discredited we find ourselves in a situation where it may indeed be relevant once again. We see the "Chicago School" types reciting tomes like medieval monks. Political economics requires flexibility and continuous assessment and reassessment. Pulling out a copy of Atlas Shrugged like it is the New Testament will not do. Far too many Libertarians do that. That said I begin most analysis from a libertarian stance.

Nova's judgment day: Intelligent design on trial
Andrewwhyte replied to jclalor's topic in Speakers Corner
How about just read the Holy Bible and stop worrying about all that other stuff? Did you ever think of that? -
I would suggest that your liability would be limited working as a coach. Coaches do not have a defined role in keeping their novice alive; that is the role of the instructor. It is hard to imagine a lawsuit involving a student that does not see at least one instructor named. Your defense is a slavish adherence to the BSRs as well as ensuring you work at a DZ where management has their shit together when it comes to documenting things like equipment and aircraft maintenance, making sure the other instructors around you are properly qualified, and having a well worded release. When a student gets injured it is not unusual for an attorney to inquire. If he is met with an organized DZO who pleasantly provides a copy of a well worded and properly filled out waiver it is a strong deterrence. In the event of a fatality nothing colours a coroners report quite like having a complete history of the rig, copies of the qualifications of the staff, maintenance logs for the aircraft, and witness testimony from both the incident and the training session organized and forwarded in a prompt manner. Of course your best defense is to have your student waving goodbye as they drive off uninjured.

I had a viso tied outside my bonehead with supertack. I got a riser-slap, actually it was more of a riser sweep across it. The supertack held and the back case of the Viso was all that remained. Of course L&B replaced it. What a company.

Amok time (original series). It's the one in which Spock enters the Pon farr, the Vulcan mating season. The episode was so gripping at the time because we were able to witness Spock displaying first irrationality and later joy. We also began to explore Vulcan society in this episode. TNG's best is easily "Time's arrow." with hon mention to the one with the probe and Picard's life experience from the ancient dead culture.

Where should I move to? (and how is SoCal?)
Andrewwhyte replied to VTmotoMike08's topic in The Bonfire
I would think that living in SoCal, the commute to the DZ is also a serious consideration. -
Well since the jumps took place on the Northwest director's drop zone and one of the instructors was her son, I'd say yes. Besides, what did you see that would warrant a review? The instructor's proximity during the second jump's pull (which was actually his fifth jump of the day) wasn't the greatest, but hardly worth yanking someone's rating.

Nova's judgment day: Intelligent design on trial

Does the mass not sum to zero? -
I would not recommend a Katana. The landings often are fast.

Is not the sum total of the mass in a particle/anti-particle annihilation equal to zero? -
Try and demo a Pilot. I think you pay a small price on performance compared to a Sabre 2 or Sapphire 2 but the combinations of opening and landings could be what you are looking for.

WHO suppressed this billboard? It does not sound like the city ordered the removal, only asked if it could be removed. It seems to me from what I have heard so far, and unless the forthcoming facts prove otherwise, that the Billboard company took down the sign upon request, not force. Because we have the First Amendment, nobody can legally "supress" an atheist's right to spend their money displaying their view on a billboard. There must be more to this story. When the government "asks" you to do something it is a lot like the mob "asking" you to do something.
