    Maxx you are right that whoever did this went in with a biased attitude. That does not detract from the contradictions. Whoever did this clearly had too much time on their hands and as you said need to spend less time worying about what Christians think. On a similar thread why do you keep telling Atheists they need to work out their relationship with God; there is no God.

    if that scenario occurs I suspect at least 90% of us will be gone with the rest fighting hard for survival. "Limited nuclear warfare" was only possible last time because we ran out of bombs.

    Yes. Especially since only one of them could be right anyway. I don't understand you - do you mean only one could be right in regards to only one true God and religion? Or the many true gods but mine is better than yours.

    Except that the jumpmaster, who may or may not be a DZ employee, can be held accountable by the law for other people's kit. Probably not a problem on large DZs, people have been on these boards in the past complaining about it on small ones.

    Maybe I'm playing to stereotype too much, but of all the criminals I would consider dangerous to an adult, child molesters would be on the bottom of the list.

    Was he an old fat guy who never hiked up a hill in his life? Just wondering because the hiking in that area is amazing. I thought the sculpture was pretty cool too.

    Uhm, you realize that sitflying and backflying are completely useless skills on a chuteless jump. Well maybe you don't. I suppose they could be used to show off during the chuteless jump, just in case you were getting bored with a regular chuteless jump and needed to jazz it up a bit.

    Is it me or have the greenies been soft lately? There have been more than a few instances lately where I figured a good old fashioned banning was due and them what wield the power just edit and move on. In one case even the whining about being censored is just ignored. I know I have been banned for less. Is the spirit of non-denominational winter holiday upon them or is this a new policy from above?

    I usually loosen my chest strap before I release the brakes. Since the Elsinore fatality last June I have made the decision to change my procedure but old habits die hard. I usually remember as I am loosening my chest strap.

    Are you saying you would not be willing to skydive in IMC (local laws not withstanding)? I have jumped over complete cloud cover using Loran in Spain. You younger folks can ask your Grampa what that was.

    Again the concept of Mens Rea comes up, the guilty mind. The perp was guilty in his mind. He has demonstrated not only his willingness, but his intent to harm others. He is clearly in need of the state's correctional action. For the protection of society if for no other reason.

    Question: If you do not jump is there any realistic chance that you will have saved the money for jumping later, or will you just find something else to spend it on? The correct answer is to get in your car and drive to Florida once a month and finish your A cert over the winter. Edited to add after looking at a map: or Raeford.

    Then that should be a go around. If the pilot has not signaled that the aircraft is ready for exit, you should not exit. if there is no light then other arrangements obviously are made, but if the DZ uses lights, then use the lights.

    Naww. 16 yr olds have always wanted to jump. They aren't being stupid. They are just being sixteen. BTW I taught several sixteen year olds to jump this year.

    That is an amazingly bad law. Thought crimes are now illegal. But you know, think of the children, right? There is a difference between thinking of committing a crime and taking action in order to commit one. This is not a crime of thought, it is a crime of Mens Rea, of intent.

    This has been going on in Canada for years only Dec 26th is the big day. Hundreds of people spend Christmas night outside in Canadian cities to get the "doorcrasher Specials" of which they only have so many.
