I suppose up here in Canada where we have such a short season we are more prone to being short on equipment during peak season than more southern DZs.

Bison Korma with mushrooms, gem potatoes, cauliflower and green peppers blended in. I don't have any rice so I will put it over either pasta or perogies.

Any drop zone I've worked at you pick the rig that is packed.

A tip is not required, however it is earned. In North America there is an unspoken contract between service providers and customers. I think the story is pretty funny, whether it actually occurred or not.

Doh! Sucked in by Hollywood stereotypes again.

If you wear gloves heavier than skydiving gloves make sure you can take them off in freefall if you need to. It is actually a simple process; take the glove off, open the parachute, put the glove back on.

There are trees in Jersey?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that THE REASON INSTITUTE has never come out in favour of a public infrastructure project of any kind. Free market based think tanks never do. That said the question needs to be asked; if the need is there and the demand will be there after construction, why is the private sector not stepping up?

Obama is a Muslim. Clinton got a blow job.

Roll call - leaving the US if Obama is elected
Andrewwhyte replied to billvon's topic in Speakers Corner
I doubt many Americans actually get up and leave because of the election results. What may happen is a shift in resident-alien populations. I have met many Canadians who have quit the US over the last few years because the cultural differences have widened. Whether this anecdotal data represents a true trend I am not sure, but it certainly felt that way, particularly after the second Bush win. Since Canada is the country with the smallest cultural gap with Americans I can only guess that the trend would be more pronounced for other resident-aliens. Another area is foreign students. There was some talk a few years ago about the increased opportunities Canadian Universities had to attract quality grad students and faculty from countries where US admission was either more difficult or perceived to be less attractive. Are there other resident-aliens (current or potential) who would stream the other direction? I would presume so but (just so nerdgirl doesn't rip me to shreds ) I have no data. -
'cause he's a so-con and your a liberal? Just a guess.

I really like demeter. It has a very minimalist screen and is faster than firefox most days, but yahoo mail does not support it so I switch back and forth.

Fear is an emotion. Even stupid chordates exhibit fear. More intelligent animals such as dogs exhibit anxiety, playfulness as well of course as love.

You could protect the physical security with all of them closed. The South Koreans, Japanese, Saudis et. cetera would have to spend more on defense but the US would be fine. US based multi-nationals might suffer, but the idea that the strongest country in the world cannot protect its borders except from without is poppycock.

Oh I don't know, maybe a ball game.

Why would that be a problem?

only in that part of America where they were illiterate for 100 years or so, the rest of the world spells it centre. Fixed it.

The logic is sound but the conclusion is flawed, therefore the (conditional) premise must be false. The universe is not infinite.

Ya, ya ,ya. Go ahead rub it in. Rob is just saying that 'cause I wandered in front of a taxiing aircraft on the weekend (not that close, but dumb just the same).

Damn, I should have said that.

Fuuuuuuk me. You know whenever I hear people dragging up the old stereotypes of the south I just smile and take it with a grain of salt. Are you fucking serious? That happened this century?

One country's "right" is another country's "left"...

Actually the Liberal-Conservative Party was renamed the Progressive Conservative Party in 1942.
