Why do you need to attack them for this. every politician who ever ran for office can be caught out for embellishing, conveniently forgetting unhelpful details, and yes, outright lying on occasion. Why don't you attack them for being liberals? Isn't that a good enough reason? It is, after all, the real reason you don't like them. When Obama made his speech on racism last month I thought it was an excellent speech that will be remembered. While everyone on the right was howling in righteous indignation at the heinous nature of every one of his little confessions everyone completely ignored the anti-capitalist premise of the the whole thing (don't blame affirmative action because you lost your job, blame the evil capitalist). I think Obama is a good man who will carry a lot of integrity with him into the Whitehouse if he makes it. I also think he is an "eat the rich" socialist who will be very bad for the American (and so the world) economy. If republicans hammer on that message instead of hunting down some friend somewhere who said 'screw whitey' once while drunk they will probably connect with the majority of Americans who understand that capitalism is what makes America great.

Want to skydive, having trouble finding DZ

Have a great time. -
I would think the main concern about using IAD from a Huey would be the downdraught pushing the p/c down when the forward speed is too low. I presume that hovering is not normal during personnel deployment but continued success could allow operators to forget that one day in the future. A stunt man went in in '95 by throwing too soon from a helicopter and wrapping the p/c around his dummy "tandem passenger." Fly free Kieth.

Everything north of the Columbia belonged to the Hudson's Bay company and was British North America, so Portland would be the new Bellingham.

I bow low to your culinary knowledge.

Unagi is only one of the types of eel served; I believe it is the seawater type, but the freshwater variety is also very good.

You say you lift weights and box occasionally. If you are lifting weights for strength and power you are probably carbo-loading (or not paying attention to nutrition at all). Why don't you go to your boxing gym and get with a trainer and nutritionist. Tell them you want to drop 40 lbs. If you are disciplined enough to follow their coaching you will drop the weight (you might surprise yourself and 220 might not seem that crazy). Even if you don't lose all the weight you will still feel better. -
Spinach Gomai. Some of the eel sushi is cooked (ask) and is very nice. If they have a shitake (mushroom) and crab salad of any kind try it. Sukiyaki beef is very nice. Try one piece (just one) of the salmon or tuna sushi; you won't be the first surprised convert. Enjoy.

I have taught many larger people over the years and have learned, often at their expense, that it is not worth it. I have taken first jump students at 280lbs, but they were more like 6' 7" and in very good shape. By your own admission you are 40lbs overweight; I would not even consider it. At one DZ I worked at we had a parachute that would accommodate people your size. What we learned (the hard way) was that only the truly physically have the strength to land the parachute. As Majordad said, if you really want this then lose the weight. -
In Canada they are "solo" certificated.

Is that a new band?

Maybe, but those tacos sure sound good.

That's not in the manufacturer instructions!

Losing interest in US presidential race

Dude! What are you talking about. The campaign doesn't even start until August. -
Phil I believe you are not in compliance with the manufacturer's instructions unless you have gone to the factory and taken their course on how to operate the tester.

I put the rig on the student intentionally longer than I think they need. I do the leg straps up not quite snug. I get them to lift the rig from the BOC and I adjust it until the best combination of large 3-ring and MLW/rear lateral confluence positions is achieved. Then I tighten the leg straps and chest strap.

Do you also believe that the ideas of the Flying Spaghetti Monsterists be discussed in public schools?

The Whole God rested on the Seventh day thing is the old testament. That is a book for the Jews. The Jewish Sabbath is Saturday. Ergo the seventh day is Saturday. What's so hard about that?

I am not sure what there is to say. There are Muslims that hate western society and values. There are Muslims that state publicly that they follow no law but the Koran. There are passages in the Koran that encourage intolerance toward non-believers. This is not news.

It is a change to existing regs (the CARS) that will be passed by Order in Council. Effectively that means it needs Cabinet approval. For something like this I am pretty sure the Cabinet members let each other run their own departments. The minister of amateur sport could theoretically take issue, but he is typically way down the pecking order from the Minister of Transport, so that is unlikely.

It does seem a bit strange that someone riding a bike at 95 is subject to a greater penalty than someone driving a Porsche.

Silly Rabbit!! You don't need any money to buy a house. Now's the time to buy! And they're offering a GREAT interest rate for the first two years.

All kids will not stop or decline to start. But some will. The smoking rates in Canadian provinces line up perfectly with the amount of restrictions on tobacco. I think you will find that the new restrictions in UK will have an effect. You just have to wait five or ten years to see it.
