Actually Ron Paul is still running, and yes, I think his supporters are making a statement.

re-registering as a dem to vote for hillary
Andrewwhyte replied to TrophyHusband's topic in Speakers Corner
Not if you base it on the assumption that Trophyhusband is making. A repbulican/conservative voter can easily decide that in a State like Ohio or Texas that his vote in the Republican primaries will have little to no affect on the outcome of the republican deligate and in turn declare being a democrat thus allowing some control over who the republican deligate will run against. In Ohio the declaring your party only lasts for 2 years which is when the next primary is... accordingly there is nothing preventing someone from party hopping if that's what they want to do. Of course this is in fact an intellectual discussion and also is a problem inherent in the declaration of a political party. I understand his reasons for voting in the primary, but I am cautioning him about supporting the devil who is harassing the demon. -

It's funny that if you look on this site Hillary has absolutely no chance. I see no reason why the Americans on here are anything but a random selection of voters, but the results in the voting clearly show she definitely does have a chance, and a good one. If I you re going to vote in the dem primary you have to realize that the dem candidate stands a very good chance of wining the general election. -
Meh, I'll wait for the movie.

I bow to your superior research skills. All I got to was a page telling me to buy it or piss off. -
Actually the rest of the world doesn't consider gravy to be breakfast food at all.

If your no longer a mod, you're "little people." Yep, no wonder Remi gets so much shit... from the Leona Helmsleys of dropzone.com... Actually I was thinking Rick Deckard in Bladerunner, but Leona works.

Best all time in a team game like football is tough. Terry Bradshaw has four rings but I wouldn't even consider him; better team in front of him. Maybe Warren Moon if he hadn't gone to Edmonton for political reasons; we'll never know. Johnny Unitas' numbers are pretty impressive, but I barely remember seeing him. I think John Elway did more with less than Montana, but since Montana had what he had we don't know what he could have.

That guy who took his place in the Cowboys game looked pretty good.

I could see Obama going with Richardson. Help with the Hispanic vote and on the 'experience' file.

I see Cheney more as a puppet-master... Wendy W. I was trying to be neutral. I guess I could have included nominating a moron for personal protection as an option taken by Nixon too.

AP is reporting that Favre is done. He didn't fade away; he was a force till the end.

I wonder what the weather was saying when he entered the airspace. As far as I understand it if ATC give you permission to carry out an unsafe action it is still your responsibility to say "Uh,..no I don't think so."

Time and Mind Journal. Not on line. -
Lately there have been two ways to select a VP. One is to broaden your appeal. Reagan the outsider from the west did it by choosing the GOP establishment guy from the east, Bush the elder. Bush did it by pandering to the religious right with Quail. The other way is to choose an ideological soul-mate to act as a lieutenant. Clinton did that with Gore and Bush the younger did it with Cheney. I think Obama needs to pick someone that the clan doesn't want so they won't shoot him. Maybe Hillary isn't a bad choice.

After talking with Ted Strong and Bill Booth at the PIA three years ago CWC chair Tim Gretch recommended to the committee that CSPA not develop a TM rating because the manufacturers still wanted control. Basically the CWC had better things to do with their resources than duplicate work that was already being done. CSPA requires only that you keep your rating current with the manufacturer. That is unlikely to change.

Apparently he put it down on the next try; I question his judgement in trying again on that runway. I know he would be in a hurry to not be airborne any more after the wing damage but still, there must have been a runway with a better heading somewhere close by.

Fair enough, but I haven't heard anyone accusing Ecuador of willfully harbouring FARC. Their is a big difference between that and having someone else's problem hiding in your jungle.

The same way Pakistan feels when the US hits targets without permission. The same way the Iraqi government feels when Turkey invades to take out Kurdish freedom fighters terrorists.
